08/07/2026: We paid €1.50 for a glass of tap water (still) ordered with our coffee... all that's missing is the air conditioning... I'll never go back. As a matter of principle, I no longer frequent places where money is king.

16/10/2025: We came here for breakfast and it was simply fantastic! A very nice bakery, very stylish and harmoniously decorated, as it's also a small café. The waitresses are both very friendly and patient, especially when you're a bit lost in the hustle and bustle. The rolls taste excellent, and the orange juice is truly freshly squeezed. It's like biting right into the fruit. If we could give it more stars, we would.

27/06/2026: I used to come here all the time as a child and only returned after a long time, since I moved away. I have to say the cakes/tarts didn't taste fresh at all and were very dry. Plus, the portions were very small for the price; you can get better value for money even in Bolzano's old town. The service was also quite unfriendly, and we were addressed in Italian several times, even though I was speaking German. My skin color was probably a factor. A real shame...

29/01/2026: I was in Bressanone to visit the Christmas markets, and our hotel (Grüner Baum) had two kettles in the room with herbal teas and various Viropa products. I'd never tried them before, and they were truly excellent...

05/05/2026: On May 1st, we booked a double room (25 m²) with a balcony via Booking.com. The room number 109 we were given (not Booking.com's fault) was not the one we had booked, but was part of one of their old and shabby-looking apartments where they had locked off the kitchen area. We paid €149.50 excluding tourist tax for one night. After complaining about this at the reception, the lady in question said that this accommodation is also advertised as a double room with a balcony and that we should be happy that this room was more spacious, to which I replied that I was not happy with this and certainly had not asked for it. The bedroom was clean, but looked like it was from forty years ago. The bathroom looked even worse than basic, with one bar of soap and two small sachets of shampoo. Furthermore, there was a small square wooden rack with shelves to put your toiletries on. On the balcony, there were two plastic chairs without a table. The double room is listed on their own website under the apartments for the period we stayed for €129, and that includes the kitchen. I let the lady at the reception know that even this amount is far too high for what you get, especially with a kitchen area that is still locked. Her response was: today is May 1st (a public holiday) and prices are higher then; what nonsense (how can you come up with that?). I filed my complaint with Booking. After Booking contacted Schauerhof about this, they were unable to reach an agreement with the accommodation. I would like to let people planning to book at this accommodation know to keep a close eye out so that you don't get crammed into an old apartment.

23/03/2026: We had dinner at the restaurant. It was a wonderful surprise. I hadn't heard of it, even though I've been coming to Vipiteno for decades. I'll definitely be back.

02/08/2026: Terrible experience: I come in to order two pizzas... meanwhile, they bring me water with a little lemon in the glass... we immediately notice the huge bug lying in the lemon slice... I ask the waitress for a bathroom and they tell me I can only wash my hands... and what about going to the bathroom? And she reiterates that the sink works... Maybe it was a veiled invitation to do it in the sink? Anyway, I decide to get up and leave... the waitress asks me €6 for the water... which I didn't drink and which also had a huge bug in the glass... Fortunately, NEVER AGAIN

27/01/2026: I wasn't familiar with this bakery, which is slightly out of the way from the town center but easily accessible, despite having visited San Candido on several occasions. The shop is spacious and welcoming, but—given our short visit—it was valued more for the purchase I made: a 1 kg tray of traditional, assorted, and truly delicious biscuits. I always cherish the wonderful memory of similar biscuits, homemade in Santa Cristina Val Gardena by a dear friend's grandmother, absolutely unsurpassed. Well, some of the ones I bought at the Trenker bakery reminded me a bit of my grandmother's biscuits... The price was more than reasonable, considering the "standard" of the area...

10/11/2025: Trenker at Senfter Platzl! Trenker is popular everywhere and has made a name for itself far beyond the region. I find the location lovely – a small, elegant shop with a wide selection, tucked away yet easy to find, away from the hustle and bustle and only a few steps from the center. Highly recommended.
