Great cake with a fantastic view from the terrace. The voucher system in the restrooms is fine. You get your money back when you buy something. But being refused a water bottle refill at the bar (for cyclists), even though you're a customer and have already bought something, is ridiculous.

A new refreshment stand with a breathtaking view, clean restrooms—it's unexpected to find a place like this up here on the road to Vipiteno. It's obviously not cheap, but at 2,000 meters, a €2 coffee is reasonable. Restrooms are free with a drink, otherwise €1.

UPDATE AUGUST 2026 Still delicious latte macchiato, tasty cakes, and a great view. The toilet voucher system has since been made fairer. AUGUST 2025 The old Edelweiss Hut was completely replaced this year with a new building, rendering the previous reviews obsolete. The modernist new building, a combination of wood and glass with a rooftop viewing platform, is largely successful, and the cakes and latte macchiato remain delicious. However, the new voucher system for toilet use is in dire need of improvement: those who first order food and then want to use the toilet (1.00 Euro) will find the voucher practically useless, and the limitation of one voucher per person/product is completely incomprehensible: those who need to use the toilet multiple times—which apparently happens—can only redeem one voucher per product. This is simply unacceptable (a hidden price increase) and led to a lower rating.

An absolute tourist hotspot...we ended up here somewhat reluctantly...we were pleasantly surprised by the very friendly staff, the good food, and last but not least, the really good prices. So, a visit is definitely recommended.

We rode our motorcycles up the Jaufen Pass and spontaneously decided to eat at the Edelweisshütte. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains. The service was very friendly! 😊 We ordered the cheese dumplings, a schnitzel, and the spaghetti Bolognese. All the dishes were absolutely delicious! 🍽️ Inside, you can buy bacon 🥓 and cheese 🧀, as well as snacks for when you're feeling peckish. We would definitely go back here anytime!

Spectacular location with breathtaking views, ideal for bikers and drivers thanks to the ample parking. Excellent food: great selection of cheeses, delicious dumplings, and a truly fantastic apple strudel! Fast service and very friendly staff. A must-visit!

We stopped here during our motorcycle tour on the Jaufen Pass and were pleasantly surprised. At first, we thought it would be a typical tourist trap – but quite the opposite was true. The Edelweiss trio was delicious, the portion was generous, and the prices were absolutely fair for the location. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere on the terrace was perfect for our tour. A beautiful panoramic view! Highly recommended for anyone traveling on the Jaufen Pass who wants a good meal. We'll definitely be back!
