23/06/2025: A beautifully located, tastefully decorated restaurant with a terrace and stunning views of Lake Kaltern. The dishes are creatively composed, some with Asian influences, and every course was a delight. The attentive service perfectly rounded off the experience. Highly recommended!

01/06/2025: Service war ok, leider haben wir uns für einen Salat entschieden und der war sein Geld nicht wert. Geschredderter Rotkohl, zwei Mini Tomaten, zwei Gurkenscheiben, nahezu rohe! Grüne Bohnen etwas Mais, Salat und ein gekochtes Ei und Thunfisch. Balsamico und Öl als extra auf dem Tisch eher schlechte Qualität. Dazu Brötchen vom Frühstück in Scheiben geschnitten.
14/05/2025: Schöner Biergarten, man fühlt sich wie in Bayern. Wir waren an einem Montagabend hier. Wenig Leute im Garten und deshalb auch schneller Service. Essen war ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Vorallem das Ungarisch Gulasch war zäh und sehnig; wirklich schlechte Fleischqualität., schade.
Störend auch, dass gegen 21.00 Uhr alle Tische um uns herum abgeräumt und alles geputzt wurde. Wohl eine Aufforderung an die letzten 3 Tische zum Gehen…..

02/04/2025: Ci vado sempre quando passo per Merano, ottimo chioschetto! Fanno principalmente panini, würstel, patatine, hamburger, ma si può trovare anche la zuppa di gulash e la pasta.
Io consiglio di provare i meraner wurst che sono lunghissimi, molto buona anche l’insalata di patate!
Bravi torneremo sempre!❤️

07/08/2025: We ordered a takeaway pizza on a long Thursday in Kaltern and had a few drinks while we ate. The service was excellent, and both the drinks and pizza were ready super quickly. The pizza was delicious. We'd love to come back!
06/08/2025: We ordered two Margherita pizzas: average, nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the wait was really long—about an hour and twenty minutes—perhaps we just happened to be on an unlucky night, but the service was decidedly slow.

19/07/2025: Una riconferma. Eravamo già stati in questa Baita nella stagione invernale. In occasione di una bella passeggiata estiva sotto al Sassolungo siamo tornati e abbiamo trovato la stessa cortesia, qualità e varietà delle portate, unitamente ad uno spazio esterno attrezzato con sdraio e svaghi per adulti e bambini. Consigliata.

27/04/2025: Because of the great review, we wanted to eat at Bittnerhof today. Hot food is only available until 3 p.m., says the landlord. We were there at 4 p.m., well then only cold dishes. Wanted a menu that doesn't do you any good. We have 3 types of cake, or a snack platter, he says.
Ordered cake and snack plate. He forgot his snack. We paid quickly and had a nice meal in the town below.
Unfortunately the visit was a disappointment.

This Christmas we tasted the one with 3 chocolates, pistachio and of course, pandoro. Truly everything delicious.
During the summer we love getting their ice creams to take away.
In addition to the friendliness and courtesy of the owners, the family environment and the quality of their products are greatly appreciated. Highly recommended!!!
