11/02/2025: Prime location, very quiet for being so centrally located. Reception and bar area is modern, warm and welcoming. The rooms, however, are due for renovation. Awful pillows, bed not very comfortable, bathroom probably +20 yrs old. The 4 star standard is rusty, at best. The hallways are less charming than a dorm or institution from the 80’s, with harsch lightning (very typical for Italy - don’t they sell LED with warm-white kelvin or dimmers there at all???). The restaurant is nice, but also suffer from too hard lightning. Bar and restaurant service was good, but someone in the management must seriously look after the staff hygiene. The smell of old sweat and stinky uniforms really can destroy the appetite, both to eat and return as a guest.

09/02/2025: Ideally located, in the center of Ortisei. Clean and spacious room, shame about the lack of a coffee and tea maker. Excellent restaurant with a wine cellar worthy of a great palace. Courteous and polite staff, special mention to Luca from the bar. Thank you all

04/03/2025: Schönes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, glücklicherweise war im fast voll besetztem Lokal noch ein Tisch ohne Reservierung frei. Die Pizzen waren reichlich belegt und der Teig wie er sein soll. Was will Mann/Frau mehr?

01/03/2025: The waitress was unsympathetic, grimaced while serving, and made unpleasant, arrogant faces. She was bored and annoyed by our visit. She didn't want to understand what we wanted to order. It also turned out that parmesan cheese in a bowl and bread in a basket are passable and uneaten goes to the next table :( The food was tasty, but lacking flair. However, we were served quickly and efficiently.

02/03/2025: Excellent location, small but welcoming structure. Few things done quite well, there are certainly mountain huts with better quality food. However friendly managers. The climb is constant but doable in 1 hour and a half. However, it is absurd to have to make the descent with skiers and especially sleds who go down regardless of the ban at the beginning of the climb. With all the slopes there are, it is absurd and serious that no one does anything, disrupting those who want to enjoy the walk. The bravado with which the sledders ask for the track is embarrassing, an attitude that Italians, South Tyroleans and foreigners have.

17/03/2025: Positive: - Very nice, sparkling clean suite, friendly staff - Good multi-course menu in the evening for €29 - Good breakfast - Ski room accessible from the outside with a separate lockable locker - Price/performance is good Negative: - Moody strange innkeeper with several inappropriate comments. The “great, friendly hospitality” that we are usually used to in South Tyrol is not present here at all. - The location is right next to the loud, extremely busy main road SS40 "Sleeping like on the median strip of the motorway". - Outside St. Valentine. Conclusion: We will no longer book the hotel!

06/04/2025: Rich and abundant breakfast. We have a dog and although we can't take him to all the public spaces, we managed to manage him well. There are some spaces where he can enter for breakfast. Small but well designed room, comfortable and with a large balcony

06/02/2025: We were there at lunchtime with a ski group of 5 people. The hut was quite full - thanks to the weather and the good atmosphere. Unfortunately, this was also noticeable in the service. After I received my drink, I wanted to order something to eat. However, the two waitresses who delivered orders were unable to accept any new ones. Unfortunately, it was also not possible to get the attention of other waitresses, which is why I was no longer able to order food.

03/02/2025: The staff was both friendly and helpful, although other people ate a full meal while I was waiting for two drinks to explain how I had to wait for TWO DRINKS. Since I didn't order any food, I can't provide any information about it.

Special service, Valentina's cheerfulness and kindness makes you feel at home... the landlady Annalisa makes amazing desserts and is always and perpetually smiling even in the darkest times.. In short, you eat and feel divine

27/12/2024: our family spent 3 wonderful nights at this hotel from 23rd to 26th December 2024. with great food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. the breakfasts are varied. the guy fried omelets, pancakes and waffles in front of us. The room cleanliness, daily housekeeping and towels are 200% amazing! Garden room with panoramic mountain views. clean pool, jacuzzi and outdoor pool, saunas.-very comfortable.the only thing without supervision. thanks to the Dosser family!!!

29/08/2024: We spent a wonderful hiking holiday here for a week at the end of August 2024. A super nice hotel with a top 🔝👍🏻 price-performance ratio!!! Great location with a wonderful view of Schenna and the Meraner Land! 🤩⛰️ Excellent food (half board) with very friendly and courteous service throughout the hotel 👍🏻 The rooms are very tastefully furnished and always cleaned perfectly every day, as well as tip top 👍🏻 A big thank you to the entire Sunnwies team for a wonderful time in Schenna 🤗☀️🍀⛰️🚠⛰️☀️☀️☀️
