06/04/2026: Thank you so much for the food and drinks. The Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta) and the bacon dumpling with coleslaw yesterday were excellent, especially with the house white wine. After my hike from Wolfsgruben (inspired by the driver of the Ritten narrow-gauge railway), it was the perfect refreshment. Everyone here is exceptionally nice. I should also mention the friendly greeting from the farm's own sheepdog. Many warm regards, see you soon.

05/04/2026: A wonderful wine tavern with a fantastic view and excellent food. We paid €73 for two half-liter glasses of Pinot Blanc, a liter of sparkling water, a large pot of coleslaw, two small Schlutzkrapfen (excellent!), three cheese dumplings, three beetroot dumplings, one bacon dumpling, and a coffee. The Schlutzkrapfen were simply divine, and the dumplings were to die for. The owners are incredibly attentive and friendly! Everything is homemade. We highly recommend it. Parking is available in the relatively small parking lot in front. There are seats in both sun and shade! At the end, we were even given a complimentary schnapps and will definitely be back.

25/03/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would gladly do so. I was poisoned here on March 23rd. I asked the German-speaking waiter if there were nuts in the apple strudel, clearly and unambiguously pointing out that I have a nut allergy. He said, "No, we don't have any nuts in our strudel," and apparently even checked with the owner. While eating, I already started experiencing allergic reactions and unfortunately ended up vomiting my entire dinner down the toilet. There were so many nuts in the apple strudel that I couldn't sleep a wink all night until I'd cleared my stomach of them by vomiting. Afterwards, I had a rash all over my body and couldn't sleep a wink all night due to the resulting symptoms (itching, fever, and headache). The restaurant is extremely lucky that I was supposed to be heading back home yesterday; otherwise, I would gladly report the incident to the police. I also suspect that they don't even bake the strudel themselves, otherwise the owner would surely know. Simply disgusting and awful! P.S. The head chef isn't from South Tyrol at all (judging by his appearance, I'd say Nigerian), don't let the entourage and the restaurant's name mislead you!

17/02/2026: A small but very welcoming pizzeria with a truly varied selection of pizzas. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. The pizza, thin and crispy, is light yet very tasty.

09/04/2026: My last two visits were quite some time ago (2025), but after many years as a satisfied customer, they were also my last. The terrace is lovely to sit on. Unfortunately, that's no use if almost an hour passes between taking a seat, being registered, receiving a menu, being able to order, and finally receiving the food. As a hotel guest with half-board, it's understandable that you might only want a light lunch. Asking for a half portion is possible, after the server has spent a considerable amount of time checking with the kitchen. However, there's absolutely no indication that, contrary to the custom in other restaurants, you'll still be charged the full price. While this is the establishment's prerogative, prior notification would be necessary so that the guest can decide whether to accept the offer. You only discover this when you look at the already paid bill. Once or twice it might be an oversight, but after it happening four times in the last three years, I'll definitely be avoiding the restaurant in the future.

22/12/2025: A truly family-run hotel with a heart for its guests, clean, with an excellent spa, a fantastic restaurant and food, and an incredible breakfast. I definitely consider this hotel one of my favorite places to stay.

06/01/2026: An excellent experience at Zur Kaiserkron. The elegant and refined restaurant boasts professional staff who are attentive without ever being intrusive. The cuisine is top-quality, with sophisticated dishes and pairings that offer a true sensory journey, always in keeping with the seasonality of the menu. The quality-price ratio is amazing for what's on offer. Kudos to the entire staff; highly recommended.

20/02/2026: Villa Heidelberg We had booked in advance and indicated that we would be bringing our dog. Upon arrival, the greeting was noticeably reserved, and a somewhat tense atmosphere immediately developed. Although dogs were generally accepted, we didn't really feel welcome. The service overall seemed rather cold and unwelcoming. Regular guests are apparently greeted personally by name, which is generally a good thing. As a new guest, however, we felt we were served correctly – but without any particular attention or noticeable friendliness. The food was standard and solid – tasted fine, but nothing special. Overall, not a complete disaster, but also not a place where you truly feel welcome. Therefore, from our perspective, a maximum of 2 out of 5 stars.

15/01/2026: In a wonderful location, this beautiful hotel welcomes you...in half. The rooms are very beautiful and warm, the spa is wonderful. Unfortunately, for the prices, you'd expect the same level of care as other South Tyrolean hotels, but the details are lacking: breakfast is poor. There's no option to make freshly squeezed juices or smoothies, there's no fresh fruit, and there's no kettle for tea or herbal teas. Pieces of the same desserts every day. Dinner is incredibly long due to the limited staff. And the side dishes are always the same: baby carrots, mushrooms, mushrooms. I'd prefer simpler, but healthier and more digestible options. In the spa, a jug of light juice and herbal tea, only dried bananas. No fresh fruit. After an hour, everything is gone and no one comes to check on you. A hotel with excellent potential, but it needs more staff, care, and attention. The dining room is 1970s-style, the paintings, the decorations, the plants. There's a lot of room for improvement. And don't count the tap water, it's shameful. For the money people pay, I think you can give away some water, right?

05/10/2025: This review only applies to the restaurant! We received a warm welcome and enjoyed delicious, regional food. It's in a fantastic location high above Appiano and Bolzano, with views of the Dolomites. The farm has been family-owned for over 200 years.
