06/09/2025: Today I hiked from the Val parking lot to the alpine hut and ate some delicious cake. Best ever🥧

04/09/2025: A small mountain hut located in a beautiful valley, accessible via an easy forest road, about an hour's walk from Malga Fane. The owners are very friendly and prepared excellent dishes for us; I recommend trying the Kaiserschmarren. Definitely worth trying again.

07/10/2025: Our stay at the Residence Pitzinger was perfect. We were personally greeted by Mr. Paul Pitzinger upon check-in, and all the important information was provided. We also received active assistance when looking for directions to the Three Peaks. The rooms are architecturally beautiful and equipped with everything you need (kitchen, bathrooms, shower, balcony, etc.). The breakfast was the absolute highlight, with a buffet that left nothing to be desired. I would definitely return to this hotel! Friendly hosts and a very nice hotel with good food.

25/12/2025: We spent a wellness weekend at the Alpiana. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the spa area, which is truly beautiful. The saunas are fantastic, the infusions were always a wonderful experience, and the view is breathtaking. One minor criticism: the rooftop pool was a bit too cold for our liking, so we couldn't stay in it for very long. A few degrees warmer would have made it much more pleasant. Unfortunately, we were less impressed with the vegan options. The hotel heavily promotes itself as vegan-friendly and claims to offer many vegan alternatives. However, our experience only partially confirmed this. The main courses at dinner, in particular, seemed somewhat unimaginative on both evenings – mostly vegetables, very little protein, and generally lacking in variety. There's so much more potential here, especially since vegan cuisine can be so creative. There wasn't even a vegan option for the afternoon cake, which we found disappointing considering the website's presentation. It's a bit misleading. All in all, the stay was very enjoyable, especially thanks to the superb spa area. However, we see room for improvement when it comes to vegan food.

11/01/2026: Highly recommended! We ate there four times during our vacation. The pizza and meat dishes were delicious! Children are very welcome, and they easily accommodate special requests.

Non avevamo prenotato e in 5 minuti, nonostante la confusione di persone che aspettava, ci hanno fatto accomodare. Il personale è molto cordiale e professionale. È tutto veramente molto buono, anzi ottimo!! Non perdetevi lo stinco, gli spatzle e uova/patate/speck: favolosi!! I piatti sono molto generosi!! Consigliatissimo!!

30/01/2026: This place is worth a visit for its location and breathtaking panoramic view of Appiano from above. We enjoyed the entree with their salted butter and speck! The menu is limited, but of excellent quality. A good selection of wines is also available. I highly recommend it.

03/01/2026: The guest is not king, but the hotel management is. During our New Year's Eve stay, the following incident occurred: Upon arrival, we were informed that our booked and paid half-board for New Year's Eve would be canceled because the hotel only offered a six-course menu for two people for €320, which wasn't initially a problem. However, when we then wanted to see the menu and the individual courses, we unfortunately discovered that we didn't like 50% of the dishes because we don't eat fish. This is when the problems began. We wanted an alternative for each of the individual courses, but unfortunately, none was available. We either had to accept the menu as presented or were strongly advised to eat elsewhere on New Year's Eve. From this point on, the hotel abandoned us. We tried to get a table elsewhere, but of course, that didn't work so close to New Year's Eve. No one seemed to care about us anymore. New Year's Eve unfolded as follows: we spent the evening in our room without eating and went out briefly at midnight to watch the fireworks, and that was it. We had booked a lovely evening with a good meal, but our short break was ruined, and we ended up more stressed than if we had stayed home. I find it completely unacceptable that we weren't even offered an alternative to the set menu and were therefore not welcome on the very evening we had traveled and paid for. When we brought this up with the manager, we only received various excuses, which unfortunately didn't help at all, except that we left early. We also overheard other guests who disapproved of this approach. In short: don't stay at this hotel if you have a special occasion coming up, otherwise, you might experience something like what happened to us. On a positive note, the chef is truly skilled, and the dishes were perfectly balanced and delicious. The staff was also very attentive.

10/12/2025: We stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Their courtesy is hard to find anywhere else, and they made everyone feel right at home.

08/01/2026: A conveniently located cheese shop with a wide variety of gourmet foods. It's worth stopping by to pick up a few things for your friends back home. You can even get delicious burgers here. The prices are reasonable.
