28/05/2025: Incredibly good bread. There were four of us, and everyone fell silent for a moment at the first bite because it was soooo delicious.

02/04/2025: Discovered it by chance on vacation and was totally amazed. I was able to pre-order my bread online and make sure everything was available when I picked it up. And what can I say: the bakery with a small shop is beautifully located in a sunny little backyard. You have to be able to make the most delicious bread. The service was very friendly when we picked it up and it smelled wonderfully of fresh sourdough bread. I tasted the bread that same evening and was blown away. Since I've been baking sourdough bread myself for many years, I know what I'm talking about and that this one is absolutely top class. Of course it's not cheap, but it's baked with love. It is also the only bakery of its kind that I could find in the entire region. In my opinion worth every penny.

31/05/2025: We had a wonderful week at the Gapphof. Our dog was just as warmly welcomed as we were. The trusting, family-friendly atmosphere is particularly noteworthy! There are many small details, such as fresh fruit and herbs daily, a delicious breakfast bag, and a great selection of leisure activities (yoga mats, board games, etc.). The location is perfect for great hikes around Merano. We will definitely be back.

09/05/2025: We spent a week in the Prior apartment. A very lovingly furnished apartment with a balcony and a terrace that invite you to be outside even in bad weather. A very varied breakfast bag surprised us every morning. The in-house products were very tasty. Our fur child was also well taken care of. Dog bed, bowls and towels were already ready. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

04/06/2025: The Chiosco da Max is beautifully situated next to the Ponte Romano and the Passirio River in Merano. This small café serves hot and cold drinks, soft drinks, and small snacks. The staff was friendly and cheerful. The restaurant has limited outdoor seating. The location is fantastic; you can hear the sound of the river and unwind; it's a truly wonderful atmosphere. Prices are generally mid-range. The restrooms were okay in terms of cleanliness.

22/06/2025: The service was great, and the 5-course breakfast was a nice surprise. We also liked the wellness area. We were lucky and were able to use two of the four spaces on the day of arrival, which meant we could use the sauna. The older room in the hotel, which we were assigned based on our special offer, was functional. Only the electrical appliances (hairdryer) should be checked for safety. 😅 Otherwise, everything was perfect! The place is quite remote on the mountain. Probably a perfect starting point for hikes. We were mostly in Merano and didn't explore the surrounding area.

20/06/2025: Top hotel and a lifesaver! We were passing through on our motorcycles and had already booked a nearby hotel, but due to circumstances, we had to change hotels. We booked late in the evening on a weekday through Booking.com. We arrived less than half an hour later, and the room was already ready. The kitchen had been cold for over an hour, but we were still served a hot meal upon request (since we probably looked more than exhausted). The room we were given at short notice was modern, well-equipped, and extremely clean. The beds were also very comfortable. The breakfast at the hotel was probably the best we had in our week in Italy; none of us had such a healthy and delicious breakfast in our lives. All in all, a great hotel, super friendly, polite, and guest-oriented staff/operators, and delicious, regional, and healthy food. Thank you again for your hospitality and the extra steps you took for my colleagues and me. If we ever pass by the pass again, we'd definitely be happy to stay again.

01/06/2025: We booked three nights with breakfast in a junior suite. The room was spacious, rustic-modern, very clean, and had a balcony with a mountain view (see photo). The room service was excellent, and the chambermaid was very friendly. We really liked the wellness area with its pool, sauna, and relaxation rooms. It's a great place to spend the whole day (in bad weather). We also highly recommend the aromatherapy massage at a private spa. The breakfast buffet was quite generous, although we would have appreciated vegan options and a bit more vegetables. We can only give a limited rating to the lunch and dinner menu, as we only had a leaf salad once for lunch. We didn't eat there because the menu was too meat-heavy for us and there were few to no vegan/vegetarian options. The service was mixed. There were very friendly and courteous staff, but some were also a bit reserved and stressed. Our chambermaid was the friendliest. Overall, we felt very comfortable at the hotel and can recommend it. Addendum June 1, 2025: We were there for the third time last weekend (this time in the Fugger Suite). We were welcomed as regular guests via automatic email notification. However, we didn't notice this on site. Furthermore, when booking via the hotel's website, we indicated that this was our honeymoon. Unfortunately, this was not taken into account. It's a shame, as we otherwise feel quite comfortable at the Hotel Engelspark.

13/05/2025: We've been absolutely thrilled with the hotel, the service, and the wellness area every time we've been. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and every course at dinner is also exceptional. We also particularly like the salad buffet. We've used the gym around the corner almost every day and think it's a great option! Sterzing's city center is a short walk away, and the train station is also within walking distance. With the Sterzing active card, you can travel to places like Bolzano for free (definitely worth a day trip). We've already booked again for next year!

05/06/2025: Bistro 7 is an institution! A very nice owner, excellent and, above all, friendly staff. The food (although we've only eaten there twice) is very good. But we usually go there for a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. And to top it off... our dog always gets a treat.

20/05/2025: Very good, but if it were spicy as written on the menu, it would be better, because someone who goes to eat Asian cuisine, is supposed to go, because he likes this type of cuisine, and is probably informed about the spiciness of the dishes, then if on the menu you find the writing (spicy) and in the dish you order you find European spicy, well .. then it is not Asian spicy. After all, everything is really very good. Dear Asian restaurateurs, do not conform to Europe, Indian cuisine, Asian cuisine, Turkish cuisine, are known for their spiciness, and for this we value you and often and willingly come to you to eat

I only used the restaurant for both lunch and dinner. _Food: 5/5, each dish is an experience, excellent quality; _Service: 5/5, the waiters are professional, they have an excellent bearing. 07/06/2025: Wonderful hotel! Very attentive staff, lovely ambiance, and a fantastic sauna area. The food is always a highlight, too. We were here in June and can only recommend the hotel!

01/06/2025: A superbly rustic wine tavern, where Mali herself still cooks. A breathtaking view of South Tyrol—I've never seen anything like it. There's a small food selection where everyone is sure to find something they like. The Schlutzkrapfen (scraps) are among the best I've ever eaten; every bite is a delight. We'll definitely be back and stay there again.

13/05/2025: The food was delicious and the service cordial – unfortunately, the lack of a menu significantly dampens the overall impression. When comparing the price list with other reviews, we realized that we paid about €20 too much for our order (2 Schlutzer sausages, 1 coleslaw, 1 small Straube, 1 small portion of Apfelküchle, 1 elderberry, 1 apple juice) at €64. This seems arbitrary and lacking in transparency – a real shame given an otherwise pleasant experience.

17/06/2025: We were staying very nearby, but had managed to skip lunch. When we got here, dinner was not to be served for another hour, but we were invited to have beers outside and the owners brought us chips that tided us over until we could go inside the restaurant. Service was a little spotty because we were the first diners to be seated, but once seated, there was a lot of people arriving. We shared goulash dumplings and another delicious meat dish along with a total of three .5 liter beers. The total was a reasonable €52.61. Definitely would recommend this restaurant!

26/03/2025: If you don't need wellness after sport, you're in good hands here in this nice hotel. Nice hosts, friendly, courteous staff. Excellent cuisine, perfect breakfast to start your day of skiing strengthened. Convenient location, approx. 150 m to the lift of the local mountain La Crusc. There is also a shuttle bus. From there you can also tackle the Sellaronda. Everything is possible with the connecting lifts without needing the car or bus. The ☀️weather☀️ was very good during our short vacation from March 16th to 20th and so we were able to enjoy our stay to the fullest.
