29/09/2025: We had a wonderful week at the Waldhof². Excellent service, a very nice wellness area. The fitness area could be more modern. The food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

26/09/2025: We had the pleasure of receiving a room package for New Year's Eve last year at very short notice, and had never stayed at the Waldhof before. We can honestly say that it was an absolute stroke of luck. We were completely satisfied, and several things stand out in particular: First, the truly fabulous cuisine, which leaves nothing to be desired. Not only did the very extensive breakfast buffet make us look forward to it every morning, but above all, the evening menus were truly top-notch. Based on our experience, we can confidently say that both the cuisine and the wine selection are of a Michelin-star standard. Secondly, we must mention the truly excellent and attentive service in all areas of the hotel. From the reception to the housekeeping service, the spa staff, and of course the catering staff, everyone had a trained eye and an open ear for our needs and wishes. Compliments to the staff! Furthermore, but not least, we were deeply impressed by the attention to detail. The care with which each guest is treated individually is hard to beat. We felt very well looked after, both professionally and personally. We will be returning to the Waldhof again this year for New Year's Eve and can hardly wait.

01/10/2025: At the source of the perfect hiking trails is the Oberhauser Refuge, where my wife, I, and Kimba, our Maremma Abruzzese dog, son of a shepherd, stayed for 11 full days, plus arrival and departure. It's an enchanting place, boasting attentive and attentive service from the owners, who were friendly, welcoming, and understanding when we encountered any difficulties in caring for our big dog. The facility has apartments on two floors, and we had a place on the ground floor, where our accommodations had a small garden just beyond the wooden platform that served as a balcony. The garden is private and enclosed by a sturdy fence. This is a real convenience, especially when you're caring for a one-year-old dog who already weighs 40 kg. The apartment was adequate in size and layout. The bathroom was spacious and very usable (I have wonderful memories of the shower, which had a generous flow of clean, mineral-like water). One very important thing is that the rooms were very well soundproofed, and even the rude footfalls of some upstairs residents were so quiet that they didn't disturb us. The cuisine was delicious, carefully prepared, and never boring, and was particularly notable for the lovely Saturday evenings dedicated to barbecues, which included not only the usual quality meats but also fish, including zander (if that's the correct spelling), which I particularly enjoyed. Around the building were beautiful hilly fields where we could take our big dog for mini-excursions before or after dinner or breakfast. It was a first-time vacation with our "big dog," who had scared us a bit, but thanks to the care and dedication of the managers, it has become a wonderful memory and an experience we can't wait to repeat. 27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

12/10/2025: An absolute insider tip! The Furschermühle is beautifully and quietly located, a bit away from the hustle and bustle – perfect for enjoying a special evening. The ambiance of the old mill is simply wonderful: small, cozy, and with only six tables, very intimate and stylish. The changing 5-course menu is consistently Michelin-star quality – creative, perfectly balanced, and prepared with great attention to detail. The wine pairing is a must: excellently selected, served at the perfect temperature, and wonderfully harmonious with each course. The service is extremely professional, attentive, and truly leaves nothing to be desired. A place where you can feel that quality, passion, and hospitality are paramount. We'll definitely be back! 🍷✨

26/10/2025: After a wonderful hike, we visited the Bergl Alm and were thrilled! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. I would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent; the South Tyrolean specialties are simply delicious. The portions are generous, and the value for money is good. The cozy atmosphere and the sun terrace are the perfect place to linger and relax—just the right place to recharge after a hike. The Bergl Alm is an absolute must for every hiker and mountain lover in Kurzras. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

11/09/2025: Set lunch menu for 15 euros. Pizza menu for 12 euros. Excellent place, the food was really good. I recommend stopping here for a set lunch in the area.

08/10/2025: Cool campsite, well located and centrally located. Short walk to the cable car and train station. Everything very clean, and the restrooms have been recently renovated. The pool is a bit dated but fine. Good restaurant and bar. Would happily return.

07/10/2025: This was our second visit to the campsite with our motorhome, and it certainly won't be the last. The location is perfect for hikes or bike tours in the Vinschgau Valley. The train station is just a few minutes' walk away and, with the Vinschgau Card/South Tyrol Pass, which is included with your pitch, opens up countless possibilities. A short trip to Merano for shopping or a night out is also no problem. The amenities are modern, with reasonable, clean restrooms. There's a shop on site with a café and a restaurant, run by friendly staff and offering good food. The reception staff are also very friendly. Some people might find the pitches too cramped or small, but they are absolutely adequate. The town, with its supermarket/bakery/café, is easily accessible on foot, and a visit to the café (on the main street, but still a nice place to sit) is always a must for us. See you soon.

19/09/2025: A really nice hotel just outside the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A great terrace for outdoor dining. My meal was very good. However, the menu was a bit thin, with mostly specialty dishes – not everyone's cup of tea. Therefore, I would only rate the restaurant 4 stars, but I would still recommend it. (I know: whining at a high level.) I'd be happy to return.
