23/12/2025: Contrary to the information on the website, the alpine pasture is closed! :( Before our hike, we specifically checked the current opening hours of the Laab Alm several times. The website and numerous advertising boards stated that it was only closed on Mondays. Even the sign right in front of the door indicated this today. There was a light on, and we could hear voices and laughter coming from inside – but the door was locked! Two very friendly, shivering guests were sitting outside on a bench with their own provisions and told us they had knocked, but that cold drinks like beer and water were only available upon urgent request. No food or hot drinks were available. We had brought our own cold water – after the climb in the cold winter air, we had been really looking forward to a hot meal and a warm drink. So, we had no choice but to hike back down the mountain empty-handed. There, we stopped at one of the many very friendly and good restaurants in Deutschnofen, where we warmed up and enjoyed a good meal. We therefore cannot recommend a hike with a stop at the Labalm.

09/01/2026: We returned after a year for a ski holiday. We found the same comforts at this hotel that had made us feel so welcome the previous winter: professionalism and courtesy from all the staff, excellent and plentiful food. The room was spacious and functional, and the location and view were ideal. Thank you!

13/12/2025: I recently went to Wastl's for dinner with some friends! The prices were ridiculously overpriced. €10 for a piece of toast. €13 for goulash soup. The decor was uninspiring, straight out of the 70s. And because I don't drink alcohol myself, the owner made some rude comments. Absolutely awful...

15/08/2025: We were only there for a short break. The host is super friendly and open to motorcyclists. I highly recommend this inn.

08/02/2026: One should avoid cream tarts on Sundays. They tasted sour, not fresh. If you're selling defrosted pastries or leftovers from the day before, you should inform the customer. What a shame! Unfortunately, this isn't the first time it's happened.

22/02/2026: I'm giving one star because zero isn't possible. I went today with a friend for a relaxing aperitif, but the outdoor area was like a kindergarten!!! Rude children screaming and jumping around (about 10 kids) without any adult supervision. I go in and ask the waitress where the parents are, and she says, "Here." She points to a table inside where they were gorging themselves on desserts and appetizers, ignoring their kids. I ask the girl, the smart one in the family, to get the parents back, and she replies, "I can't do anything," to which I say, "Well, I'll go somewhere else," and she says, "OK." Change the rules, and especially the staff!"

04/02/2026: Bar Pasticceria Pennini is a serious business. The croissants are heavy with filling: once filled, they weigh nearly half a kilo, and that's not poetic hyperbole. They're as filling as lunch and capable of giving you a glycemic spike worthy of Pizzo Bez. Delicious, over-the-top, and shameless. If you love a hearty, uncompromising breakfast, this is your place.

13/03/2026: A haven of comfort in Merano. When we arrive in Merano, Café Aida is our first stop for coffee and cake. On sunny days, you need a bit of luck to snag a table outside. The cakes are not only a feast for the eyes but also exceptionally good in both size and taste. Highly recommended. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

05/01/2026: I had breakfast at this pastry shop on December 3rd. Huge selection, excellent crepes and also the Sachertorte. Friendly staff, welcoming place, reasonable prices.

30/12/2025: The hotel is very old, and all rooms need renovation, especially the bathrooms. The à la carte menu is very expensive and not suitable for a family, and there are no common areas.

18/09/2025: I had asked to postpone the date and issue a voucher since I had serious family issues that prevented me from departing on the scheduled date, but the hotel, justifying itself by citing Booking.com policies, showed little willingness and refused to listen to reason. I believe a little empathy and respect for customers is essential in this type of business.

09/11/2025: I had to wait forever for a doner kebab. The doner kebab was prepared in a side room, which is extremely small, and they wanted more money from me than was listed on the menu.

08/10/2025: A nice place to escape the hustle and bustle for a bit. Very good cappuccino, very friendly owner.

28/08/2025: Halal Pakistani restaurant...their food is delicious, thank God, and the prices are reasonable...their pizza is delicious.
