20/06/2025: Very good first courses, homemade pasta and excellent condiments. As a second course we only tried the “porcona” FA VO LO SAAAA!!! Kind and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

18/06/2025: Had dinner this evening while passing through Spoleto, excellent food and wine, superlative value for money, courtesy and kindness of the staff. Absolutely recommended if you pass through these parts.

25/08/2025: A good place for lunch in Assisi. Simple, traditional cuisine, generous portions, and good value. The value for money could perhaps be improved, but in a city setting, it's average.

20/08/2025: We were the whole family for a beautiful dinner in Lochescion. We ate delicious and tender meat accompanied by a spectacular wine and good cured meats. The staff and the owner were kind and helpful. I recommend it.

07/08/2025: Excellent, prices not exaggerated, but not for all budgets, in Bettona goose festival, phenomenal, cooked wonderfully, pity that at lunch the weather was murderous, we finished lunch and rushed to the car and an avalanche of water unleashed, we ate the first course, gnocchi with goose ragù fabulous. and honest price.

15/06/2025: We lunched here en route across Italy, planning the route to revisit this facility. Great charcuterie and salad, but the bread was definitely not up to the mark. Overall OK, but not as good as we recalled.

13/06/2025: Restaurant recently reopened after a long renovation post-earthquake in 2016. The quality of the food is excellent! The ham served melts in your mouth and a hand slicer is used to cut it. The restaurant offers two versions of truffle: the winter one (more prized) and the summer scorzone. The service was impeccable, the guys are very friendly and ready to give excellent advice. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended! The owner also told us that they have rooms and a SPA available now. A good excuse to come back

30/06/2025: It is in fact a self-service, not too large (in this period people come in droves) but it has a wide variety of ready meals (everything we consumed was good), drinks, desserts and coffee: in the reality of Assisi, a good solution, relatively cheap.

24/08/2025: My wife and I went to Montefalco for a romantic getaway. We had lunch at the inn and were speechless, so speechless that we had to go back for dinner. The quality of the food was impressive, the organization top-notch, and the staff and owner were exquisite and extremely kind. They showed us the cellars, which were beautiful and well-stocked. We tasted a 1983 Brunello di Montalcino, you can imagine. We'll definitely be back.

19/08/2025: A special place for special occasions. I went last night for dinner with my family. The off-menu tartares were delicious and seasoned with skill and personality (the chives were an original and tasty touch). The Bavarian cream with amaretto cream was exceptional. The service was perfect. The sommelier advised us with expertise, courtesy, friendliness, and honesty, and at the end of the dinner, he took us to the restaurant's wine cellar: an incredible sight. The prices are fair considering the exceptional setting. For four of us, for two dishes each (two of which were strangozzi with truffles—what truffles!), an excellent bottle of Rosso di Montefalco, three desserts, and the entrée (included in the cover charge) we spent €234. The place is beautiful both inside and out, where it truly feels like being in a theater.

16/08/2025: We went for dinner at Mattera (Madia in the local dialect). The atmosphere is simple but pleasant, the service is quick and attentive, and the food is good. The menu isn't varied; it offers a weekly menu with two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and some desserts. We chose spare ribs with peppers, rigatoni with white ragù, pigeon, and a bottle of rosé wine + water. The spare ribs with peppers were special, the rigatoni was good, but the pigeon itself wasn't my cup of tea. I should point out that I've never eaten pigeon; perhaps my expectations were too high.

16/08/2025: If you're in Foligno, you can't miss eating at Mattera. A true, honest osteria, serving quality dishes and traditional Umbrian cuisine. The menu changes weekly; there are just a few dishes, but they're all guaranteed to be a hit. An honorable mention goes to the pigeon, always on the menu and a house specialty. If (like me) you've never eaten it before, try it—you won't regret it! The friendly service makes you feel right at home. Bravo!

20/08/2025: Excellent experience in Perugia. An excellent seafood restaurant in Perugia, and not just seafood, of course. They also cater to celiacs. The dishes were also beautifully served. The ladies who served us were friendly, pleasant, and professional. The atmosphere was very elegant and beautiful.

12/07/2025: It was a joy to discover this restaurant! We spent two days at a resort in Umbria where the food was truly awful, but luckily Locanda del Busta was just 10 minutes away. Exceptional! We went two nights in a row and will definitely return when we return to Umbria! The food is excellent, simple, and of the highest quality. The owner is truly polite, and all the staff are absolutely top-notch, kind, and helpful. A special thanks to Mrs. Giovanna, who works there with great passion and professionalism.

08/08/2025: A tad too expensive for my taste. One appetizer split in two, one main course, half a bottle of house wine, 40 euros. Definitely a tad too much.

15/07/2025: Traditional cuisine and more, a fairly extensive menu, and a diverse wine list spanning from north to south, with a focus on local Umbrian wines. The summer terrace offers a truly beautiful view of Perugia at sunset (imagine during Umbria Jazz). Overall, very satisfied.

19/08/2025: Eating there isn't bad. The food is definitely good quality, but the service is sometimes a bit lacking, especially at home. Once, I had chili peppers that I couldn't eat instead of onions. Once, the website listed a price with a freebie that I then had to pay for. I'll definitely order from you again, but please adjust the price on the website if you charge me for the freebies.

13/08/2025: AMAZING! Homemade artisanal pinsa bread, pulled pork, ditto—there's little more to say. If you see it on the street, at an event or fair, you have to stop by—you won't regret it. It's a shame it doesn't come to Rome.

29/08/2025: A place that creates culinary emotions and brings happiness to those who try it... Very good appetizers with local products, carefully composed and with the utmost attention to presentation. Authentic and expertly seasoned first courses, combining the simplicity of the raw ingredients with unexpected combinations. I had the opportunity to try the wild boar with caramelized onion (also homemade) and was blown away by its deliciousness... Probably the best wild boar in white wine I've ever eaten in a restaurant... Fantastic!!! The desserts are equally as delicious, completing an excellent gastronomic experience. The atmosphere is casual yet elegant, and the terrace offers a beautiful view of one of the many "pictures of Umbria" that can be enjoyed everywhere here! The wait staff is polite, knowledgeable, welcoming, and with an edge given their youth—well done! You're a great calling card for this place! The prices aren't cheap, but everything above justifies them... Photos below 😉

02/08/2025: What can I say? In such a sacred place, finding an excellent restaurant is simply fantastic. My wife and I, after visiting the places of worship of Saint Rita, where she was born and lived with her family, had a wonderful meal at this restaurant, where the staff is also highly professional and kind. First and foremost, I recommend Roccaporena for anyone who wants to experience a morning of peace and prayer immersed in the miraculous story of Saint Rita, and certainly continue by enjoying refreshments at this restaurant. Thank you, and if Saint Rita so wishes, with God's blessing, we will return.
