01/05/2026: We arrived on May 1st at 12:00 PM without a reservation, hoping to eat since we were traveling. We were greeted with extreme kindness (we have a 10-month-old baby and a 3-year-old girl with us). Everyone was very professional but above all loving; it felt like we were having lunch with family. The food was exquisite and delicious. Two crescie, a ravioli, a chicken breast, spinach, and water for €40. The portions were incredibly generous. If we had spent even €20 more, I would have thought the bill was fair given the portions. Every time we pass by, we'll definitely stop for lunch. It was a great pleasure.

19/05/2026: Our third year of visiting Cantiano/Gubbio and dinner is always a treat here. Hosts Elisa and Gianluca are wonderful, food is delicious, great local wines, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This year's Corso dei Ceri was too wet to attend and they played the live event feed on the TV for everyone to enjoy.

20/03/2026: Always courteous. Great atmosphere, superb ice cream, and above all, the imaginative flavors are always a plus.

It's one of those "old-school" trattorias where substance matters more than appearance, and where you always leave with a smile (and definitely full). Highlights: The portions are rightly described as "outrageous" or "truck-driver-sized" due to their generous size. Among the unmissable specialties are the fresh, handmade pasta first courses, a true trademark of the restaurant. Main courses with character: the fried lamb is a rare, crispy and flavorful specialty, as is the mixed grill and the Milanese cutlet, served in impressive sizes. Service and hospitality: Besides the excellent food, what makes this place special is the family atmosphere. The staff are extremely kind, always smiling and ready to run between the tables to ensure nothing is missing, even though the restaurant is often full. You can sense a rare dedication: the staff is friendly, fast, and attentive. and capable of making you feel immediately "at home". In short: An unbeatable quality-price ratio for those who love authentic flavors. It's not a place for those seeking luxury, but it's perfect for those who want divine food and be surrounded by exquisite people. We went there for two nights even though we were staying in Valfabbrica!!

13/04/2026: A rustic restaurant in true Umbrian style, with a simple menu but tasty, authentic dishes. The tagliatelle are excellent. I'll be back to try the chicken fricó. The house wine is drinkable and pleasant. Special mention goes to the young waiter, who was polite and quick. Recommended!

This osteria is an absolute temple of pure, traditional Umbrian cuisine, the kind of cuisine that has been passed down through generations—TRUE cuisine. It's a wonderful place, staffed by exceptional and special people. Incredible elements and flavor combinations are the best you could wish for. All these elements are brought to life by the heart and soul of the incredible and talented Chef and owner. He possesses an absolute, top-notch technique that allows him to craft ingredients like very few others, resulting in dishes that are beyond unique and incredibly flavorful. For the owner-chef, perfection is a fundamental concept, and he strives to surpass it, ALWAYS. The expertly crafted ingredients, beyond perfection, blend seamlessly with the highest-quality raw materials, used with incredible skill. The dishes intoxicate the palate and the senses...everything is a caress for the soul. The ingredients were cooked sublimely. A tip: Umbricoli with Reggiano and black truffle. I have NEVER eaten better Umbricoli in my life! Here, the cuisine and drink, rigorously traditional, are a true art, a journey through sight, smell, and taste, but above all through the feelings and emotions that the Chef, preparing dishes unlike any other, evokes in those who enjoy them. This wonderful place is pure, more than unique, talent. 04/06/2026: Recommended by several locals, I went to what is considered the best restaurant in Gubbio for traditional Umbrian cuisine. The welcome was exquisite, and the food even more so. The first courses are highly recommended, and of excellent quality. Sitting on the terrace offers a beautiful view and fresh air.
