28/07/2024: I was passing through, and looking for a takeaway pizzeria on Maps I chose this one. Right choice! I took a Pizza degli Elfi (gorgonzola, mushrooms, bacon) with double dough, 540g of dough (as explained to me by the pizza chef) with perfect cooking (congratulations, because it's not obvious) and in general the pizza was very good. Excellent value for money. If I pass through here again, I will always come back to you!

20/08/2024: We were in Machenmacher's Rosengarten with a group (ski school) of about 40 people, all families with children. Unfortunately for us it was a horror vacation. This hotel is run by an older couple and their son Roman. Right from the start, the older hosts in particular made an extremely unfriendly impression on us. The older lady didn't greet us, the gentleman walked around and looked askance at the children in particular. However, we thought maybe it's just an impression and everything will be fine. We were wrong. It all started with a ban on indoor swimming pools for children from 4.30 p.m. We found out about this “rule” on the first day, but unfortunately it is nowhere to be seen on the website. Since the lifts are open until 4:30 p.m. and most children only returned from the ski course at around 4:00 p.m., it was simply not technically possible to comply with this rule. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was because it had an indoor swimming pool. So from day one we asked for the ban to be postponed at least by an hour. Unfortunately it didn't work. So we simply stayed in the indoor pool longer. On the second day, when I was lying on the lounger in the indoor pool, at 4:40 p.m. the older lady suddenly ran towards me with her finger stretched out (I was closest to the entrance) and screamed and told me that I should immediately leave the indoor pool with children , otherwise we can all leave. I answered her calmly - then we'll leave - and she ran away again. When we all (40 people) came to dinner, there was a note on every table with a message: “This ends your vacation, with the date of January 30th, 2017 (next day) in the Machenmachers Rosengarten due to non-compliance with the hotel rules”. The older gentleman walked around the dining room and said he was going to kick us out and he was calling the police. Those who didn’t have children also received these pieces of paper. After dinner we had a meeting with our tour operators to discuss the situation. We were informed that all people must sign compliance with the hotel rules. Anyone who doesn't sign will have to leave the hotel tomorrow. We didn't find out what the rules were, apart from the swimming pool ban. I tried to talk to Roman afterward because I didn't want to believe that such a situation would cause such stress. Roman was standing behind the counter, I came to him, introduced myself and asked what the problem was. He replied that I had insulted his mother and that I had to leave the hotel at 10:00 the next day. When I wanted to clarify the situation with his mother, the older gentleman suddenly ran towards me, became violent and pushed me out of the counter. This was too much, I wanted to call the police, but my friends talked me out of it. I then told Roman that he couldn't expect a positive review of the hotel from me. He then freaked out and said I was threatening him. The next day at 9:50 (we couldn't believe it) the cleaning lady knocked on our door and asked when we were leaving the room. Afterwards we were happy to be away from this hotel and these terrible hosts. We have never experienced a story like this before and I hope you won't have to experience it either.

20/08/2024: Very nice, excellent location, very good and plentiful breakfast and dinner buffets. Friendly staff, only one small negative note, excessive price for 1 old room and without bidet. Very uncomfortable.

18/08/2024: First of all: If you decide to eat here, you should definitely make a reservation Per: There is really not small portion and the food tastes good too Cons: Service is extremely overwhelmed, the two older ladies like to complain that you sit at the table for a long time and other guests who have reserved have to wait. Unfortunately, you have to plan a lot of time when visiting a restaurant, as the pizza alone took over 40 minutes and the waitress doesn't come to the table often (not at all by itself). Highlight: The older lady placed cutlery on an apparently dirty surface and licked her fingers to pick up the cutlery... Conclusion: Food is good Waiting time is quite long Operation is absolutely impossible

02/05/2024: Excellent products and a wide selection of cheeses. Excellent quality cured meats that are difficult to find elsewhere (such as San Giovanni cooked ham, or Parma ham, although unfortunately like everywhere in Bolzano with too short maturation) which unfortunately are often not sliced ​​or cleaned properly, probably due to the inexperience of the personal or for the type of slicer used. It's a shame because quality cured meats really deserve quality treatment. Who knows, maybe a starting point for improvement.

We were able to savor our dinner while watching the sun set over the town, which was a magical experience in itself.The owners’ passion for both their food and their guests’ experience shines through in every detail, making this restaurant an absolute must-visit. I can’t recommend it highly enough—if you’re in Merano, do yourself a favor and dine here!

31/07/2024: We were so looking forward to Ebeneich and the great view. We were there today on Wednesday (not a day off) at 12 p.m., but unfortunately it was closed. Obviously they don't want guests. It would be nice if you would adapt the website accordingly, then you can save yourself the hassle.

21/07/2024: Hello to all trail addicts, the Gassl Trail is highly recommended, we were passing through and really wanted to ride the trail, get a day ticket right away, if you've ridden the trail once you'll want to ride it a second time, the trail is about 6 .4 km long, if you drive from the top you get about 9.6 km really mega....

13/08/2024: We had dinner. The staff was slow to arrive, we even waited well over half an hour for the salad despite the restaurant being almost empty. Food was delicious. It's a shame that the service wasn't as good. I would have expected more.

30/07/2024: We tried this pizzeria restaurant between Appiano and San Paolo driven by the excellent reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. Professional, fast and courteous service, well-cooked pizzas with excellent ingredients, more than fair prices. The outdoor area where you can eat during the summer is very nice. We will definitely be back.

27/08/2023: We met up with friends there in July because of the good reviews. In addition to Italian, the young bartender only speaks English very, very poorly. A colleague/guest helped because there was no card. We let ourselves be surprised and only specified the rough flavor (vodka, rum, fruit). Despite different orders, we all had the same cocktail, which didn't necessarily taste good. But we were relaxed, in the holiday mood and ready to give the bartender a second chance. So we ordered internationally famous cocktails: Swimming Pool and Pina Colada. We then thought nothing could go wrong. The swimming pool consisted of 1 cup of cream and was so disgusting that I probably won't drink it again for years. A dried orange slice was thrown in as decoration. My friends had a similar experience with the Pina Colada. And because there was no map, we didn't know the prices in advance. The total price was absolutely outrageous and there was no bill either. I can only advise every tourist away from this bar. Worst cocktail bar I've ever visited.
