12/05/2026: During a trip to Perugia to visit the exhibition at the Accademia Nazionale Umbra, six of us had lunch at the restaurant "Il Gufo." We had booked a couple of days in advance, choosing this restaurant after finding other establishments we had initially considered fully booked. Unfortunately, despite a menu that on paper seemed to offer interesting ideas and good flexibility for the needs of those with celiac disease, the actual experience was deeply disappointing for the entire group. The restaurant itself is very characteristic, but the impression was marred by a pervasive sense of neglect; the place seemed dusty and lacked attention to cleanliness, which did not contribute to a pleasant convivial atmosphere. As for the food, the only redeeming feature was the charcuterie platter served as a sharing appetizer in the center of the table, which was of decent quality. From that point on, however, the kitchen showed serious technical shortcomings. The first courses were a real sore point: the macaroni with broad beans and pecorino cheese arrived disjointed, lacking any cohesion, and completely overcooked, while the asparagus risotto looked unappealing, with a grayish hue and no creaminess whatsoever. The second courses fared no better: the sausage meatloaf, despite having a good basic flavor, was served in truly tiny portions, consisting of just four very thin slices. The curry chicken was a logical disappointment, as well as a taste one: we expected an aromatic dish, but instead we were served an extremely dry baked chicken, accompanied by a curry sauce on the side that made the flavors completely disconnected. The only dish that passed without any particular complaints was the polenta with ham ragù, which was otherwise ordinary. In conclusion, it was a real shame: the potential of the restaurant and the menu is evident, but the execution of the dishes was so poor that all six diners were disappointed. Seeing so many positive reviews, one remains suspicious of such sloppy kitchen management, especially during Sunday service. Despite the good intentions, it's an experience we won't repeat.

24/04/2026: A trattoria right in the city center where you can eat well. The location is a bit basic but quiet. Very friendly staff. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I found the menu to be quite varied, even though I'm celiac and vegetarian, and I really enjoyed it. Perhaps they're a little less well-equipped for vegans. It's an AIC-certified restaurant, so I was able to dine with peace of mind. Recommended.

08/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday, recommended by my partner, who had been there several years ago, and we were truly thrilled. The food is excellent, carefully prepared with quality ingredients. My partner chose the tagliata, which was truly excellent and cooked to perfection, while I tried the fish menu, a delicious appetizer, and a truly exceptional risotto, one of the best I've tasted in recent memory. To finish, we sampled a deconstructed cheesecake, original in its presentation, innovative, and truly delicious. The service was also impeccable from start to finish. What particularly struck us was the attention to detail; for example, when I asked for sparkling water, I was asked if I preferred it slightly sparkling or more intensely carbonated. A small gesture that demonstrates great customer care. The waiters were always quick, professional, and ready to anticipate our every need, making us feel welcomed and pampered. The location is also beautiful, with a large outdoor area featuring a pool, pond, and children's play area, ideal for spending quality time with the family. An extremely positive experience in every way. We will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family!

02/06/2026: During a weekend in Umbria, looking for a restaurant where I could enjoy gluten-free meals with peace of mind, I came across Zero7Cinque thanks to the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and the numerous recommendations I read in a Facebook group dedicated to celiacs. I must say, my expectations were fully confirmed! What struck me most was the extraordinary attention to gluten-free options: everything here is prepared with great care and expertise, and as a celiac, I finally felt safe and secure. Being able to choose from the menu without the anxiety of contamination or the fear of feeling ill after a meal is a priceless feeling. Beyond safety, I found truly tasty dishes, kind and helpful staff, and a wonderful location overlooking the lake, perfect for enjoying a relaxing lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, making the experience even more special. I recommend this restaurant not only to celiacs, but also to anyone without any special dietary requirements. The quality of the cuisine is so high that you don't even realize that many dishes are designed to be completely gluten-free. A place where everyone can eat well, in peace, and with great satisfaction. If you're celiac or simply love good food and you're in the Perugia area, this place is definitely worth a visit. It was a wonderful discovery for me, and I'll definitely return when I'm in the area again!

08/06/2026: We stayed at the Valle Rosa farmhouse in Spoleto this weekend (June 6-7, 2026) and had a truly excellent experience. The property is simply beautiful, surrounded by greenery and tranquility, ideal for a complete escape from the daily grind. The room was very spacious, well-maintained, and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing stay. The pool is a real highlight: large, well-maintained, and nestled in a truly pleasant natural setting. The restaurant also deserves a special mention: we ate wonderfully, with quality dishes and authentic flavors. Special thanks go to the impeccable welcome. Even though we only booked one night (Saturday to Sunday), we were given the option of keeping our room in the afternoon, allowing us to relax after lunch and enjoy the pool. A much-appreciated gesture that demonstrates great customer service. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, quality stay: my compliments to the entire staff!

07/06/2026: A magnificent spot, a farmhouse just outside the city of Spoleto, where I stayed for a few days and where nothing is missing: greenery, tranquility, organization. The rooms are housed in three buildings; large, modern, comfortable, with everything you need. All surrounded by a large green space. A beautiful swimming pool with dedicated spaces, a covered parking area with photovoltaic panels and electric charging for cars. Additional parking areas are dedicated to each building. There's a breakfast room and a restaurant, which I'll discuss later. If you have any problems, there's always a very kind and helpful gentleman on hand who can resolve the issue! EXCELLENT... in many years of my travels in Italy, I haven't found such a satisfying establishment!! Oh, I forgot... the price is a tad higher than a mediocre B&B that doesn't even have anything I've written! WHAT CAN I SAY: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
