Hotel Fichetto In Foligno

We couldn't stay because the rooms weren't available. We went for dinner and had a divine meal. Excellent service, very friendly service, and reasonable prices. When passing through Foligno, Fichetto a Vescia is a must-stop.

Excellent restaurant, good price

Recommended by the bartender at Belfiore... we booked for lunch on June 2nd... and even on the phone, the owner was very kind and understanding since I was late... excellent lunch!!! The menu features traditional dishes... I tried a very good appetizer... the Roccata... excellent homemade tagliatelle and crispy and flavorful roast chicken... to finish, homemade dry biscuits and zibibbo wine... We were offered a welcome crostini and an amaro... a plus not everyone gets. Highly recommended if you're in the area!!

We went yesterday (Sunday) for lunch. There were five of us, including my 6-year-old daughter, and it was a pleasant surprise. 80s-style restaurant, friendly staff (I think it's family-run). From appetizer to dessert, everything was excellent 💯, generous portions, fair prices. (The starter with giblets and snails, and the roast lamb were the best.) One thing...the waitress took our orders without even writing them down; that's not for everyone.

It's located just outside Foligno, and we would have had a hard time finding it without a GPS. The building itself would hardly be recognizable as a hotel and restaurant were it not for the small sign above the door. A narrow staircase leads first to a small coffee bar, and you wonder if they really serve lunch here. Only after passing the bar and entering the dining room through a narrow passage do you realize it's larger than it appears from the outside. Before we even ordered anything, a plate of bruschetta and a bottle each of still and sparkling water were placed on the table. We didn't see a menu on our first visit; instead, the chef explained verbally what was available that day. However, on our second visit almost two years later, there was a printed menu. The coratella di agnello as a starter was very good, as were the tortellini with truffles. . ... On our second visit to the restaurant, the two of us shared the "Antipasto misto completto" with various cold and warm appetizers, followed by "Faraona in salmì" [deliciously prepared guinea fowl] and "Strapazzo uova al tartuffo" [scrambled eggs with truffles]. We didn't have room for dessert after that, but we gratefully accepted a bitter and a limoncello. We were equally satisfied on our third visit in January 2026, and there's nothing to add to the description above.
