24/12/2025: The food is very good despite being self-service. We stopped for lunch on a day of skiing; we chose it a bit randomly, but it was worth it. There are tables inside and many more outside. The only downside is that the coffee is not good, even with the professional machine.

27/02/2026: There were 7 of us without a reservation. We wanted to sit outside on the terrace for lunch. We were immediately welcomed and the waiter found a table for us. Even though it was all full, we ordered quickly. Daniel, our waiter, was top-notch. A guy with a level of professionalism and speed I've never seen before. In the end, we ate well, even though the bill was a little above our expectations. Daniel offered grappa. We'll be back in the summer with the whole family.

30/01/2026: I'm writing this review still in disbelief at the treatment and quality of the food I received. If you're looking for a place to eat after a day on the slopes, move on: any other option will be better than this. The pizza dough was embarrassing: rubbery, clearly under-risen, and raw in the center, while the crust was burnt and bitter. The ingredients used were of the lowest quality; the tomato was overly acidic, and the mozzarella had no consistency whatsoever, a sign of the use of low-quality industrial products that have nothing to do with the flavors of the area. The service was the final straw. Arrogant staff, biblical wait times (over an hour for two pizzas with the place half empty), and a total disorganization in the dining room and kitchen. Despite our polite complaints about the cooking, the response was dismissive and lacking in professionalism. The prices were completely out of line and unjustified. Paying gourmet prices for a product that wouldn't even end up on the plate of an emergency shelter is unacceptable. A place that thrives solely on its touristic location, but it doesn't deserve a single cent of your money. ​Avoid it if you don't want to ruin your evening and your stomach.

24/12/2025: We had a wonderful 9-night stay at Hotel Tabladel. Both the owners and the staff were very friendly, everything was clean, our room was lovely, and the food was very varied, even for me as a vegetarian. The location is fantastic, just steps from the ski slopes. We also enjoyed an aperitif in front of the fireplace. We would love to come back.

06/12/2025: I ordered a pizza with salami and spinach. The amount of salami and spinach was really minimal: seven pieces of salami and very little spinach. It's unfair. The spinach costs 2 euros.

19/02/2026: The food is good, the prices reasonable, the setting is Austrian-style (you'd think you were in Alsace), but the staff lack customer service skills. It's a shame, it spoils everything.

02/01/2026: On Saturday evening, the restaurant was practically empty, so our reservation proved unnecessary. Many negative reviews mention the service. However, ours was friendly and quick. The menu is suspiciously extensive and even mentions the possible use of frozen food. The pizzas, however, are baked in a wood-fired oven. The quality of the dishes we ordered from the daily specials menu was okay, nothing more. Three prawns on the risotto seemed very meager for €18. The veal fillet was tender and well-cooked. Overall, though, the portion (including the side dishes) was too small for €29. The presentation on the plate was completely uninspired. We even wondered if the Ramazotti we ordered was actually the real deal. In short: the prices are completely disproportionate to the quality. It's acceptable in a pinch, especially if other restaurants are packed.

07/03/2026: We just had a coffee in the square. Oh well, it's Piazza Walther, and coffee in Bolzano is expensive, you know... But a cappuccino that's not even particularly good for €4.00 seems excessive to me anyway...

28/02/2026: The food was excellent. The portions were generous enough to satisfy any appetite. The location was lovely and sunny. Prices were comparable to the neighboring restaurants. It was generally quite busy, but with patience and a relaxed attitude, it was a pleasant experience.

28/07/2025: Ich hatte das Restaurant aus meiner Kindheit in guter Erinnerung. Leider wurden wir an dem Abend sehr enttäuscht. Sowohl, dass für einen zweiten Teller (der zu spät zum teilenden Gericht kam) wurde etwas berechnet als auch der „Willkommensdrink“ der als Gast des Hotels umsonst sein sollte. Als wir das mit dem Drink anmerken wollten, wurde der Chef ausfallend und laut und hat (vermutlich!) das Getränk aus der Tasche seiner Mitarbeiterin (die den Fehler wohl gemacht hat) zahlen lassen. Die Mitarbeiter rannten rum wie aufgescheuchte Hühner, bei dem Chef und der ständigen Angst im Nacken wohl kein Wunder! Leider ein rundum katastrophaler Abend! Essen war ok! Große Portionen, allerdings keine besonders gute Qualität. ✌🏻

26/07/2025: Wir hatten den Ruster Biergarten eigentlich in schöner Erinnerung – mein Mann war früher schon mit seinen Eltern hier, wir waren mehrfach mit unseren Kindern da, und diesmal wollten unsere inzwischen erwachsenen Kinder ein weiteres Mal gemeinsam dort essen. Der Anlass war der 60. Geburtstag meines Mannes Leider wurde der Abend eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen war bestenfalls durchschnittlich – eher Masse statt Klasse. Das Personal wirkte durchweg hektisch und angespannt, was wohl auch mit dem äußerst unfreundlichen Chef zusammenhängt. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass das Team regelrecht Angst vor ihm hat. Ein kleiner, aber bezeichnender Punkt: Für einen zweiten Teller zum Teilen einer Vorspeise wurden 1,50 € berechnet – mit der Begründung, dass es kein Gedeck gibt. Das mag formell stimmen, aber in Lokalen, die ein Gedeck berechnen, bekommt man dafür üblicherweise einen Brotkorb mit Öl oder Butter – hier gibt es nichts dergleichen. Auf der Rechnung war zudem ein kleiner Fehler. Als wir höflich um Korrektur baten, hatte man das Gefühl, dass die sehr freundliche junge Bedienung den Fehler aus eigener Tasche begleichen musste – was uns sehr unangenehm war. Als wir schließlich das Gespräch mit dem Chef suchten, wollte er erst gar nicht zu uns kommen. Auf unser Bestehen hin erschien er doch – jedoch ausfallend, respektlos und in einem Ton, der völlig unangebracht war. Wörtlich sagte er: „Dann schreiben Sie doch eine Bewertung!“ Dieser Satz spricht für sich – Gästezufriedenheit scheint hier keine Rolle zu spielen. Offenbar verlässt man sich auf täglich neue Kundschaft. Sehr schade – ein Ort, den wir einst mochten, hat sich für uns leider komplett verändert. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen – und können es auch niemandem mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

29/12/2025: A mid-range restaurant, not very welcoming. The menu also includes pizza, Indian options, and a few South Tyrolean dishes. I ordered the classic onion steak: good, but not exactly typical. The manager, however, is very friendly and helpful, as well as quick.

02/02/2026: A beautiful, modern building, but it's been extremely difficult to use for a year now, due to a constant lack of parking for both cars and motorcycles. There are very few usable parking spaces for both cars and motorcycles, and they're always occupied. Since there are healthcare facilities where patients are forced to attend appointments, this is a major impediment for those with mobility issues and unable to use public transportation.

16/11/2025: Poor service, rude waiter. After eating, I ordered coffee prepared at the counter, but it took over 5 minutes for it to be served, with three waiters busy clearing plates and glasses. After I mentioned the problem of the late coffees, the waiter replied that I could serve myself if I wanted. My rating for the waiter is unspeakable. Claudio
