24/12/2025: The food is very good despite being self-service. We stopped for lunch on a day of skiing; we chose it a bit randomly, but it was worth it. There are tables inside and many more outside. The only downside is that the coffee is not good, even with the professional machine.

21/12/2025: Nice place and good food. As for the rest, you should be ashamed: €5.50 for a bottle of water???? You really deserved for no one to come through the door anymore.

18/03/2026: I don't usually write negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience honestly. I went there with a friend, and we ordered appetizers and Wiener Schnitzel. The appetizers were tasty, but I felt they were overpriced. I was quite disappointed with the main course. The schnitzel was rather thick, in my opinion, and had parts that I personally found inedible. What I found particularly disappointing was that my feedback wasn't really taken seriously, even though I mentioned it twice. This left me with a rather unsatisfactory impression. I understand that these things can happen – which makes an open approach to criticism all the more important to me. Overall, the visit was unfortunately not very satisfying.

23/10/2025: Every time I return to Bolzano, one of my first stops is always the Franziskaner Bakery. It's one of those places that welcomes you with familiar aromas, genuine smiles, and that warm feeling that only things made with passion can provide. As soon as I enter, I'm immediately won over by the aroma of freshly baked bread and the display cases full of traditional pastries. The staff is always kind, smiling, and genuinely attentive—you can tell they love what they do and care about every customer. I can never leave without their best-selling strudel: it's simply perfect. The thin, fragrant pastry envelops a filling of fragrant apples, spices, and a touch of sweetness that captivates with every bite. It's the kind of dessert that tells a story, that tastes of home, of the mountains, and of authenticity. The E-type bread has also become a regular feature of mine—crunchy, aromatic, and full-flavored, perfect both on its own and as an accompaniment to any dish. Franziskaner isn't just a bakery, but a little corner of tradition and humanity in the heart of Bolzano. Every visit is a simple yet special moment of pleasure, always leaving you wanting more.

19/02/2026: The food is good, the prices reasonable, the setting is Austrian-style (you'd think you were in Alsace), but the staff lack customer service skills. It's a shame, it spoils everything.

02/01/2026: On Saturday evening, the restaurant was practically empty, so our reservation proved unnecessary. Many negative reviews mention the service. However, ours was friendly and quick. The menu is suspiciously extensive and even mentions the possible use of frozen food. The pizzas, however, are baked in a wood-fired oven. The quality of the dishes we ordered from the daily specials menu was okay, nothing more. Three prawns on the risotto seemed very meager for €18. The veal fillet was tender and well-cooked. Overall, though, the portion (including the side dishes) was too small for €29. The presentation on the plate was completely uninspired. We even wondered if the Ramazotti we ordered was actually the real deal. In short: the prices are completely disproportionate to the quality. It's acceptable in a pinch, especially if other restaurants are packed.

02/02/2026: A beautiful, modern building, but it's been extremely difficult to use for a year now, due to a constant lack of parking for both cars and motorcycles. There are very few usable parking spaces for both cars and motorcycles, and they're always occupied. Since there are healthcare facilities where patients are forced to attend appointments, this is a major impediment for those with mobility issues and unable to use public transportation.

22/07/2025: Bad service, he made me wait and after using the broom, getting his hands dirty from both the broom and the money, he served me the cakes and bread by touching them with his hands.

15/10/2025: The alpine pasture was closed. Today, Wednesday, seems to be a day off, but there's no information about it anywhere.

11/10/2025: In the valley, you're informed that the alpine hut should be open and serving food. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. They don't take opening hours very seriously here. It's a shame. Was it better other times? Perhaps a different operator?

06/04/2026: A very good restaurant in a lovely location on Waltherplatz. The service is attentive and friendly. The ambiance could be improved, perhaps with a few plants or something similar, but all in all, a good restaurant. I can't understand the many negative reviews here, because it was truly excellent.

09/11/2025: Today we organized a birthday party at the McDonald's in the Bolzano Mall, and the experience was truly excellent. We received a warm welcome from the moment we arrived, and all the staff were helpful, attentive, and very kind to the children. The party spaces were clean, well-organized, and perfect for entertaining the little ones in complete safety. The team handled every detail with professionalism, ensuring a peaceful and festive atmosphere. The service was also prompt and impeccable: the orders arrived on time and were all exactly as requested. The children had a blast, and we adults felt supported at every step. It was a pleasant, stress-free experience that I definitely recommend. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the McDonald's Mall Bolzano for making this day special.

15/10/2025: Very often, the best coupons from the McDonald's app aren't accepted at this branch. It's a disgrace! Plus, a Big Tasty costs €9 in South Tyrol and only €6.90 in Trento! What's the point?

06/12/2025: I ordered a pizza with salami and spinach. The amount of salami and spinach was really minimal: seven pieces of salami and very little spinach. It's unfair. The spinach costs 2 euros.

29/12/2025: A mid-range restaurant, not very welcoming. The menu also includes pizza, Indian options, and a few South Tyrolean dishes. I ordered the classic onion steak: good, but not exactly typical. The manager, however, is very friendly and helpful, as well as quick.

14/03/2026: The atmosphere is very quiet and clean. It feels like a place from the 80s, but who cares about the decor? I had a great meal, the pizzas were delicious, and the staff were very friendly. One of my favorite places.

07/11/2025: The interior of the restaurant feels like it's been there for decades... which is nice, but only up to a point. Good food, no complaints. The price is in line with the amount eaten. It's annoying, really annoying, to be handed a fake receipt when paying in cash. Just pretend like everyone else and don't fool people, thanks.

06/03/2026: Not recommended. The staff ignored us or simply didn't want to work. On a Sunday afternoon in early March, only a few tables were occupied at the thermal baths square, yet it was impossible to order anything. We moved on after 15 minutes. Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives in Merano.

02/01/2026: On New Year's Day, we had lunch at the bistro: the table staff were attentive and very kind, and gave us great advice. We sat facing the functional kitchen area, where we watched the fantastic, friendly chef at work, so precise and fast. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff was attentive (despite the looming holiday).
