15/10/2025: The alpine pasture was closed. Today, Wednesday, seems to be a day off, but there's no information about it anywhere.

11/10/2025: In the valley, you're informed that the alpine hut should be open and serving food. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. They don't take opening hours very seriously here. It's a shame. Was it better other times? Perhaps a different operator?

20/10/2025: Beautiful, quiet, excellent quality, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

19/10/2025: I ate a trio of dumplings, nothing special, there was nothing sweet, I don't think I'll go back.

28/09/2025: Unfortunately, I can't give a more positive review. The food wasn't particularly good. The price/performance ratio wasn't right either. We were the only guests. No "goodbye" for us.

12/10/2025: I would have expected considerably more hospitality from an Italian restaurant. Several of us were there and wanted to sit together at a large table in the sun. After being asked whether we wanted something to eat or just a drink, and I replied that we only wanted drinks, we had to sit at two small tables – even though the large table remained empty throughout our entire stay. The iced coffee was unfortunately just as mediocre as the atmosphere – nothing special in terms of taste. The apple strudel looked pretty (even if the cream was a bit runny), but it tasted really delicious. The cappuccino was at least good. In conclusion: Anyone who just wants a drink is obviously a second-class guest here. It's a real shame – that's how you drive away customers, not just thirst. There was probably a reason why all the tables outside were empty when we arrived...

05/10/2025: Extremely unfriendly, he didn't feel like serving us and said he wanted to take a break. Guests are not welcome here.

08/10/2025: Centrally located, large underground parking lot. Friendly, clean atmosphere, perfect service.

16/08/2025: Very friendly and helpful staff. The lemon risotto with salmon tartare was delicious. My husband ordered the burger with fries, drawn in by the description of the fries as "super crispy"...he was extremely satisfied. Highly recommended.

13/07/2025: Sono stato a mangiare a pranzo con tutta la mia famiglia in questo rifugio e ho trovato uno staff molto gentile e cortese che sanno fare molto bene il suo lavoro quando l’ambiente è positivo il servizio si riflette sul cliente ed in questo caso il servizio è stato ottimo complimenti a tutto lo staff, ma soprattutto a Daniel

13/06/2025: Volevo terminare in bellezza una bellissima vacanza con un tempo favoloso, in uno dei posti più stupefacenti d'Italia, invece sono capitata in un locale che più che un rifugio o comunque un posto d'accoglienza Montanaro mi sembra un manicomio. Camerieri, evidentemente sovraccarichi di lavoro, danno i numeri in un posto che definire squallido è fargli un complimento: non c'è la minima cura in nessuna parte del locale e non è lontanamente paragonabile a tutti gli altri rifugi, malghe e posti di ristoro che voi potete trovare a Seceda e all'Alpe di Chiusi. A dispetto della vista meravigliosa il locale è veramente di ultima categoria. Non posso giudicare la qualità del cibo visto che con l'andazzo che c'era mi sono limitata a ordinare un semplice succo di frutta. Veramente una pessima sorpresa.

25/08/2025: Beautiful, traditional, family-run restaurant. You're welcomed like family with a smile and kindness. The food is truly delicious and home-cooked. The prices are very reasonable. We had a really good time and I highly recommend it for a traditional meal.

21/10/2025: Aperitif Stop at the Lauben ​We stopped at Café Lauben and were delighted! ​The white wine and Aperol Spritz were very good. ​The restaurant has wonderful, friendly service and captivates with its nostalgic atmosphere – a place where time has stood still in a beautiful way. ​A great spot for an aperitif in the heart of Merano. Highly recommended!

29/09/2025: You can order with the app, which is very quick. Good value for money. Some dishes, like the nuggets, are very poor quality. Business lunches sometimes take a very long time to pay at the cash register.

28/09/2025: My Wiener schnitzel was passable, but extra small. The potato salad was of rather poor quality; it was probably a ready-made product from a large container. I found my food far too expensive for the quantity and quality. Compared to the past, the restaurant has significantly deteriorated in both price and quality.

28/07/2025: Ich hatte das Restaurant aus meiner Kindheit in guter Erinnerung. Leider wurden wir an dem Abend sehr enttäuscht. Sowohl, dass für einen zweiten Teller (der zu spät zum teilenden Gericht kam) wurde etwas berechnet als auch der „Willkommensdrink“ der als Gast des Hotels umsonst sein sollte. Als wir das mit dem Drink anmerken wollten, wurde der Chef ausfallend und laut und hat (vermutlich!) das Getränk aus der Tasche seiner Mitarbeiterin (die den Fehler wohl gemacht hat) zahlen lassen. Die Mitarbeiter rannten rum wie aufgescheuchte Hühner, bei dem Chef und der ständigen Angst im Nacken wohl kein Wunder! Leider ein rundum katastrophaler Abend! Essen war ok! Große Portionen, allerdings keine besonders gute Qualität. ✌🏻

26/07/2025: Wir hatten den Ruster Biergarten eigentlich in schöner Erinnerung – mein Mann war früher schon mit seinen Eltern hier, wir waren mehrfach mit unseren Kindern da, und diesmal wollten unsere inzwischen erwachsenen Kinder ein weiteres Mal gemeinsam dort essen. Der Anlass war der 60. Geburtstag meines Mannes Leider wurde der Abend eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen war bestenfalls durchschnittlich – eher Masse statt Klasse. Das Personal wirkte durchweg hektisch und angespannt, was wohl auch mit dem äußerst unfreundlichen Chef zusammenhängt. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass das Team regelrecht Angst vor ihm hat. Ein kleiner, aber bezeichnender Punkt: Für einen zweiten Teller zum Teilen einer Vorspeise wurden 1,50 € berechnet – mit der Begründung, dass es kein Gedeck gibt. Das mag formell stimmen, aber in Lokalen, die ein Gedeck berechnen, bekommt man dafür üblicherweise einen Brotkorb mit Öl oder Butter – hier gibt es nichts dergleichen. Auf der Rechnung war zudem ein kleiner Fehler. Als wir höflich um Korrektur baten, hatte man das Gefühl, dass die sehr freundliche junge Bedienung den Fehler aus eigener Tasche begleichen musste – was uns sehr unangenehm war. Als wir schließlich das Gespräch mit dem Chef suchten, wollte er erst gar nicht zu uns kommen. Auf unser Bestehen hin erschien er doch – jedoch ausfallend, respektlos und in einem Ton, der völlig unangebracht war. Wörtlich sagte er: „Dann schreiben Sie doch eine Bewertung!“ Dieser Satz spricht für sich – Gästezufriedenheit scheint hier keine Rolle zu spielen. Offenbar verlässt man sich auf täglich neue Kundschaft. Sehr schade – ein Ort, den wir einst mochten, hat sich für uns leider komplett verändert. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen – und können es auch niemandem mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.
