11/03/2025: An excellent restaurant with first class service and delicious food. At the beginning we were surprised with a warm greeting from the kitchen. Afterwards we ordered a platter with various sausage and meat specialties, a goulash with bacon dumplings and a risotto - all of the highest quality and very tasty. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.

06/03/2025: Beautiful restaurant in typical South Tyrolean style. The interior features lots of wood paneling. A great view of Bruneck. A good menu with local specialties. The food was delicious and highly recommended. Service was excellent.

22/02/2025: Un grupo de 10 de nosotros tuvimos una muy buena cena en Chalet Gerard. La comida era deliciosa, llena de sabor, y disfrutada por todos. El personal era atento y amable, asegurando que teníamos todo lo necesario. La falta de ambiente en el restaurante fue un poco decepcionante. Además, dado que está a 15 minutos en coche de Val Gardena, se requiere un taxi, lo que se suma a la experiencia gastronómica, que ya es costosa, algo a tener en cuenta al presupuestar la noche. Dicho esto, la calidad de la comida y el servicio lo hizo una experiencia que vale la pena, y todos tuvimos una gran comida.

01/03/2025: South Tyrolean inn at 930m altitude You can't get past the Apollonia Inn. It is hidden at an altitude of 930 meters above Sirmian - access is also easily possible by car. The visitor is rewarded with a sensational view of Bolzano and the Dolomites. The family-run inn has a modern, well-kept guest room, a covered winter garden and a garden terrace. Here, South Tyrolean inn classics are offered, from traditional to creative - all of which have first-class quality and freshness in common. Wild garlic and gray cheese pressed dumplings with melted tomatoes, lukewarm carpaccio of veal head and brawn with mousse of red and yellow tomatoes were perfectly seasoned homemade starters. The South Tyrolean beef goulash with bacon dumplings and a heavenly sauce was also the finest traditional cuisine prepared by hand at a high level. There is something special about enjoying authentic dishes surrounded by pure nature in this high-altitude inn with a sensational view. The service is very hospitable and the prices are moderate.

09/02/2025: I was here in spring last year and ordered Wienerschnitzel with a side dish. Unfortunately I had to pay a hefty extra charge for the cranberry jam, which wasn't included (I can't remember exactly, but I think it was 2.30 euros) which I found very outrageous. Not everything that glitters is gold. Otherwise, I have to be fair: the food was good, but expensive and the atmosphere was also nice.

29/10/2024: This is actually an ancient castle. And then - a restaurant. The place is simply a must visit in this region. Here you can feel the authentic atmosphere of a medieval castle. But they never made us sandwiches, although they did have sausage...
