07/04/2026: A very well-maintained inn, with a welcoming atmosphere and well-spaced tables. We ate at a table facing a wide selection of (we assume) collectible wines, displayed to frame a simple yet refined setting. We ordered two appetizers (sfocato with confit tomatoes, anchovies, and burrata, a potato and onion millefeuille with a delicious Greek sauce accompanied by the ever-present San Daniele prosciutto), two first courses (maltagliati with wild boar ragù and beetroot gnocchi with venison ragù) accompanied by two glasses of Valpolicella red wine, highly recommended by the very knowledgeable staff (the wine cellar is amazing). The waiters are very friendly and attentive to your needs and requests, and the staff gets a thumbs up. As for the quantity, I must say that it's artisanal cuisine that combines traditional local flavors with top-quality, non-native ingredients (the portions aren't gourmet-style). The price is slightly above average, but you know, quality comes at a price. The restaurant gets a full thumbs up.

24/03/2026: A dear friend from Grosseto introduced me to this place. The atmosphere is wonderful, as is the varied menu, from which we chose two appetizers and two main courses, which proved to be legendary. The service was very attentive and attentive to our needs.

08/04/2026: We had a great lunch here! Food was incredible, great wine selection, excellent service and a amazing atmosphere. We also had our two month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. We ordered the timballo rustico, pici ragù, and lamb with the side of the day (seasonal asparagus).

20/04/2026: We were staying in the area and had dinner at this trattoria. We ordered three fillets and asked for a tomato-filled picio for my daughter. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the meat was tender! Even the tomato sauce for my daughter's picio was expertly made (which isn't a given when you go to a restaurant and ask for a dish off the children's menu). Special mention to the waitress; she was kind and attentive throughout the service. See you soon!

19/04/2026: The Florentine steak melts in your mouth (the wild boar pici is also excellent), the prices are very fair, and the hospitality and friendliness are excellent. A true trattoria, as it should be.

13/04/2026: A typical trattoria just outside the walls of Volterra. Excellent for enjoying authentic, traditional dishes. The waiter who served us was very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed excellent pici with duck ragù and spectacular pappardelle with hare ragù, all washed down with a delicious house red. Highly recommended for a tasty and affordable stop.

18/03/2026: 6/5 the best food in all of Florence. Bring your family, your friends, and everyone you love. The food is good and warm and the wine is full of joy and love. My favorite restaurant in all of Italy. We came twice on our vacation. Special thanks to the amazing staff and Patrizia for making our time so wonderful!

17/03/2026: I’d rate this place 6 stars if I could. We came here our first night in Florence and just got back from our 2nd visit. The food is incredible, the most flavorful food we had in all of Florence. Every single dish was comforting and absolutely delicious. The ribollita was the best I’d ever had. On top of that, it’s such a charming little place with beautiful decor. And the owner, Patrizia, is such a gem. She is so kind and welcoming and explained every dish on the menu to us in English. They also sang my sister happy birthday and put a candle in her cake! It was so sweet and unexpected. Highly recommend this place!!

08/04/2026: I'll start by saying that the service wasn't the fastest: the restaurant is very intimate and well-kept, the menu is well thought out, there are about 5 dishes to choose from for each category (starters, first courses, second courses, desserts), the raw materials are unquestionably high quality, the service was very friendly even if, as I said, it wasn't the fastest. I ordered the tuna tataki (very good) and the beer-braised cheek, and as a side, the patatas bravas (all excellent). For dessert, a truly special cheesecake—I'd never eaten one so "tortosa"—and the coffee was also excellent... for two, we ordered: 2 starters, 2 second courses, two glasses of wine, 1 dessert, and a coffee. Spending 103 euros isn't cheap, but it was truly well spent. The best restaurant in the area for flavors and truly high-level execution, highly recommended.

28/03/2026: I think it's one of the best restaurants I've tried in recent years. Excellent value. Refined and balanced flavors. Young and enthusiastic staff. Very friendly. Lots of gluten-free options. Beautiful location with an open kitchen. Authentic and non-touristy cuisine. Highly recommended!

30/10/2025: I was able to use the catering service at La Lanterna restaurant, all managed by Mrs. Regina, who had proposed herself as a highly prestigious wedding planner. The couple had their rehearsal dinner, which went very well, everything had been decided, or at least we thought so. We arrive at the location where the event was supposed to take place, and find the aperitif in full sun, bowls with melted ice, a few appetizers and a few non-alcoholic appetizers, appetizers served on small plates standing up, some a lot, some nothing, we enter the room, where I must say it was incredibly hot, 33 degrees, we sit at the table, we are served water with an eyedropper by rude and listless waiters, I must say that there was no maître d' to manage everything, it is time for the first courses, very good, but one guest does not like it and asks a waiter for a plate of pasta with oil, he is rudely refused, alleging that the chef refuses to serve this dish at the table, we get to the fish that was supposed to be a sea bream, we were presented with a strange fish, after much insistence, we received the answer it was turbot, all this without informing anyone, I would like to point out that Sea bream and turbot are two different types of fish, so if someone was allergic, it could have been a serious problem. There was a staff member who had to entertain children and adults, and their food was very limited and very late. After lunch, a corner was set up for the liqueurs I had purchased, high-quality liqueurs, placed in the sun, therefore very hot. After insisting, they brought ice, but the chocolate brought for tasting was all melted. When it was time for dessert, the dessert buffet was brought out, also in the sun, and they all melted. Luckily, the cake went well, even though it wasn't given to the staff. Furthermore, coffee and sparkling wine weren't served, clarifying that this hadn't been agreed upon with the bride and groom. Do you think this is possible? Even if it wasn't agreed upon, it's obvious! So my advice: don't hire catering, venues, and other nonsense; for a certain amount of money, hire a nice, classy restaurant and you'll certainly enjoy yourself more.

07/04/2026: An excellent restaurant where you can enjoy seafood delicacies. The raw shellfish, oysters, salmon, tuna, and much, much more are exceptional. The first courses are excellent, but the caciucco is unbeatable...it's spectacular! The wine list is extensive, and the quality/price ratio is excellent.

11/03/2026: I went to this trattoria for dinner for the first time. The atmosphere was welcoming and homey, just like the food. Family-run, the owners were kind, courteous, and friendly. The food was excellent; we had two first courses. Homemade pasta, a little too al dente for my taste, and many delicious dishes to choose from.
