A really nice place in the heart of Florence. We had breakfast there and weren't disappointed by the delicious cornetti and the great coffee. There's seating inside. The noise level wasn't too loud; you could easily have a conversation and enjoy the food and coffee. :-)

It's a friendly cafe that greets you in Korean when you say you're from Korea. I had a cup of cappuccino at a reasonable price compared to downtown Florence.

Caffè dei Fossi is a sure thing. I was born and raised in that area, and for once, that corner of the city has come to life. They offer serenity along with good coffee and excellent everything from sweet to savory. When I need a moment, I stop by to feel at home, read a few pages of a good book, and enjoy an aperitif. A warm atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone, local or otherwise. Never change!

Caffee Fossi has become one of my regular stops in Florence. It is conveniently located and is so welcoming. The staff has been friendly and accommodating with my faltering Italian. The coffee, sandwiches, and pastries are delicious. I love sitting nestled in the plants, reading a book, and people watching.

I had a nice cup of espresso thanks to the owner, who seemed to be the tender, who offered a few greetings in Korean. He was friendly, and the focaccia ham sandwich was salty and delicious.

03/03/2026: A truly welcoming and pleasant location, with friendly and helpful staff. Overall, we ate well, but the menu left a little to be desired: the tagliolini were a bit overcooked, and the fillet arrived medium rare, even though I'd asked for it. The potatoes, ossobuco, and Tuscan crostini were good, however. Perhaps I expected a little more attention to detail in the dishes from a restaurant like this.

Trattoria Fiorenza

11/03/2026: I went to this trattoria for dinner for the first time. The atmosphere was welcoming and homey, just like the food. Family-run, the owners were kind, courteous, and friendly. The food was excellent; we had two first courses. Homemade pasta, a little too al dente for my taste, and many delicious dishes to choose from.
10/03/2026: I think the most surprising moment was crossing the threshold and visually finding yourself back in time, in an authentic 1980s setting, meticulously preserved and maintained down to the smallest detail. The staff is kind and friendly, and the food and dishes are truly delicious. The tortelli mugellani were excellent; the Milanese, one of the best I've ever eaten; and the chocolate cake, I'd say a marvel for my tastes. I highly recommend it.
