07/05/2026: First, beyond having eaten well in a pleasant atmosphere, we discovered a wide selection of gluten-free dishes, prepared by a chef whose family has celiac disease and therefore understands the needs and concerns of those who find themselves dining in a restaurant. Go there with confidence, not only for the gluten-free option, but also for the combination of flavors that are never banal. It was truly delicious, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. Thank you for making our evening a truly enjoyable one.

25/04/2026: Magnificent! The food was marvellous. We ordered octopus and fritto misto as appetizers and raviolli as a main and all dishes were just perfect. The bisque sause around raviolli was great with bread they give you. Service was also above any expectations. Great gastronomical experience!

04/05/2026: We have had a lot of great meals on this trip, but none surpassed our dinner here. The gorgeous patio was a quiet and sophisticated backdrop for exceptional boar ragu, pork ribs that (literally) stunned us, and fabulous dessert. The local vernaccia wine was a great compliment and they gave us an adorable little parting gift for tomorrow. I wish I could come back again and again. On our next trip to Tuscany it will be the first reservation we make.

The experience was further enhanced by the expert presentation of the dishes by the lovely Signora Marta Baroni and the equally lovely waiters Andrea and Giancarlo: they made us feel special. All this in a setting where even the smallest detail is carefully considered, ensuring that guests feel pampered while enjoying a relaxing, out-of-this-world view...

27/07/2026: A handmade burger joint that feels authentically local. Since they make the burgers to order, the bread is perfectly toasted and the meat is fresh. It’s not worth coming all the way to Pienza just for this place, but it is a restaurant worth visiting if you are in the city. Since seating is limited, you might have to get takeout.

02/07/2026: First impression: wine is the absolute star of this restaurant. A wide selection of glasses, wine pairings, and a menu are available; it's worth the trip. Service is friendly and unobtrusive. Food: I expect excellence in the dishes from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I didn't find it in all of them (specifically, the appetizer wasn't balanced in flavor). Finally, a little more attention to the customer: given the superior tasting menu and wine pairing, I would have expected water and/or coffee to be offered.

22/03/2026: Looking for schiacciatas for dinner before heading to the airport, we ended up at this place. Following the owners' recommendations, they made us one with raw sausage, caramelized onions, and cheese, and another with porchetta, with their homemade green sauce and hot sauce. We loved both and were delighted with the owners; they're incredibly kind, and it's so nice to find people like them.

19/03/2026: Only have the soup and too much onions and wasn't great cost €11 for a soup 🫣🙄the most expensive soup I ever order! 😬Is like a snack bar why they charge so much for a soup ! 😂

03/07/2026: IO Osteria Personale delivered one of the best meals of our Italy trip — inventive, precise cooking with genuine personality. A roasted watermelon amuse-bouche opened things on a delightfully unexpected note. We started with the steak tartare (roasted corn cream, chimichurri, fried capers) and the roasted Roman salad, both excellent, then moved to the smoked-butter risotto and the garlic-and-chili spaghetti with raw pink shrimp — both beautifully executed. The roasted octopus and the pigeon were the standouts to finish, and our two young daughters were completely won over by the pigeon, which says something about how approachable the kitchen makes even ambitious dishes. The salted popcorn ice cream (toffee, smoked tea crumble, dark chocolate ganache) closed the night on a high — the girls raved about it. We paired the meal with a Tenuta di Montefoscoli "Vacevoli," a coastal Tuscan white that matched perfectly. Warm, attentive service and an intimate room made it feel special from start to finish. If you want something beyond the tourist-trail trattorias in Florence, come here. Highly recommended.

16/06/2026: The new management of MA KE GELATO, as soon as you walk in, you immediately realize you're on another planet. It's the real way to make gelato, an excellent, flavorful product. I highly recommend the SALT gelato.

16/06/2026: The perfect stopover on our way to Florence— absolutely amazing gelato. Achieved our quest for authentic gelato (in the tins, not in colorful piles) Was incredible, and the proprietor was so friendly!

14/05/2026: Just a few tables, just like at home, and amazing food at a moderately low price (appetizer, first course, and second course for half, plus a selection of desserts, €40). Highly recommended (call to reserve at least a week in advance).

It's always been a neighborhood gathering place, a place with a genuine atmosphere. Even my grandfather used to come here, and returning here is a special experience. The perfect place to enjoy a good glass of wine and spend some time with friends.
