08/01/2025: What a gem! Don't be disenchanted by the short dirt road leading upward to this beautiful little boutique hotel, because at the top of the knoll sits the charm and luxury you hoped for in Tuscany. We stayed in the deluxe king room with a view. We were so enchanted we stayed one extra night and even then, hated to leave. I underscore every compliment expressed by others, regarding the staff. They're fabulous and work diligently to make your stay comfortable and memorable, and they make all that look effortless. Kudos to Niccolo who shared fun conversation with us while still managing the operations. We felt like family. We did indulge in the 2 hour wellness experience and WOW! Do that! We also took a cooking lesson from the chef which was private, informative and simply delightful. This is located in the perfect place - away from the crowds but close enough to everything. Drive less than an hour in almost any direction through the gorgeous Tuscan countryside and your pick of wineries and history are at your fingertips. What adjective best describes this place? Fantastic? Awesome? Luxurious? Charming? yes - yes-yes!

06/01/2025: Found on Booking, but booked directly through them at a great price for 2 nights, it is a Relais with all the comforts you need on a holiday, very quiet and suggestive location, we were at the beginning of January, welcoming and familiar environment, very large room, with welcome prosecco, incredibly kind and always available staff, a special mention for Cristina and Nicola, excellent breakfast, with a good variety of sweet and savory products, their restaurant is worth trying, few tables, but excellent cuisine, it is located 15 minutes from the center of Siena, we will definitely be back.

20/03/2025: I love this place, the setting, the people who work there and the products. The desserts are delicious and the coffee is masterful: the best blends I've ever tasted, whether it's cappuccino, iced coffee, pumpkin spice latte, or even tea (English breakfast, my favorite). Everything is pleasantly well-kept and professional. Unfortunately, the place has gradually reduced its opening hours, then its days, and now both. With the closing time at 3 pm, it has become difficult to frequent the place, not to mention the midweek closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I also asked the question on their Instagram page, where they responded (as always) kindly and clearly. The problem, at least for me, remains that I can never spend time there, whether because of university classes (the headquarters are a stone's throw away), or because of work... the customers I have found, those few times I have managed to go, are often tourists, even in large groups, which make the environment less of a "cosy spot" than it was years ago and which I had fallen in love with. That said, the validity of the place remains and will always be my first choice in terms of coffee and environment, in the hope that they may return the old time schedules (the three stars for the service are precisely for this last thing).

23/03/2025: Il mio ristorante del cuore Nel cuore sincero di uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia, il ristorante Cantina del Granduca riesce ogni volta a lasciarmi senza parole! Ogni aspetto è stato semplicemente perfetto: Cibo: I piatti erano un'esplosione di sapori, preparati con materie prime di altissima qualità. Si sentiva la freschezza degli ingredienti e la passione, la cura e l'attenzione dello chef. Servizio: Il personale è sempre estremamente cordiale, attento, preciso e professionale. Ci siamo sentiti accolti come a casa. Ambiente: L'atmosfera del locale è calda, familiare, perfetta qualsiasi occasione. Rapporto qualità-prezzo: Assolutamente imbattibile! La qualità del cibo e del servizio è di gran lunga superiore al prezzo pagato. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque voglia vivere un'esperienza gastronomica di alto livello. È difficile scegliere un piatto preferito dalla loro proposta, ma, se amate come me, il patè di fegato, dovete provare il paté di fegato in riduzione di vin santo con cipolle caramellate servito su fetta di pan brioche abbrustolito. Poesia!

07/03/2025: The restaurant is located in the countryside in a particularly beautiful place. The furnishings are genuinely luxurious and well cared for. The veranda is ideal for groups. Coming to the food: the cold cuts appetizer was good but limited, the fried coconuts were good, the focaccia was passable. The steak was good in terms of cooking and tenderness, as were the potatoes. Fried food is nothing special, in fact it should be avoided. The dessert bordering on home-made with two wafers containing a delicate and pleasant cream. The price is honestly too high even if the service is excellent.

07/04/2025: I went last night with my mother. Exceptional food (I hadn't eaten so well in a long time), but the absolute best thing was the kindness and professionalism of the dining room staff, characteristics that are now rare to find even in high-level restaurants. Compliments!

Retro and modern blend together, creating warmth without losing style. The menu offers two set meal options, one meat and one vegetarian. To meet the needs of different tastes, you can also order a la carte. Scatter portions are relatively larger. For a foodie like me who wants to try everything, Of course I chose the set meal without hesitation. Unlocking multiple delicacies at once is so enjoyable! Every dish is surprising, the taste is online, Both the combination of ingredients and the presentation are done with great care.
