08/05/2026: We had a private dinner just last night, and I can say that Il Trippaio in Florence is one of those places that doesn't try to be "something": it is exactly what it's supposed to be. A real place, raw in the best sense of the word, where the atmosphere is as important as the food. Here you eat and live like in the old days: appetizers, first and second courses, wine flowing amidst conversation and laughter, and above all, an owner who doesn't just do his job, but welcomes you as if you were at home. It's a place that doesn't need frills to win you over: just sit down, let yourself go, and enjoy an experience that exudes tradition, conviviality, and the true Florence. Sincere compliments to Trippaio: a place like this isn't invented, it's lived.
