22/01/2026: Excellent lunch. The owner is a wonderful person, very helpful and friendly. You can tell he loves his job, and it always pays off. Excellent dishes with sophisticated pairings and quality ingredients. The purple potato gnocchi with gorgonzola fondue, which wasn't on the menu that day, were spectacular. They offer a small welcome appetizer and homemade cantucci. Highly recommended, and congratulations to the entire staff! If we return to the area, we'll definitely stop by to enjoy the owner's warm welcome, which truly won us over. If there were six stars, I would have given them all!

10/04/2026: Wow — Pensavo Peggio truly delivers that authentic Italian experience! From the first bite, everything was outstanding. The bruschetta al pomodoro was bright, fresh, and delicious. Fresh-made spaghetti and pici al ragù were perfectly cooked with rich, flavorful sauces. We paired with a lovely red table wine that hit the spot. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about both the menu and Florence. Our server made the evening even better with great recommendations. One small suggestion for the future: a couple of thoughtful zero-proof drink options would be a nice addition alongside the excellent wine list. Overall, this was a delightful dinner in the heart of Florence. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Almost everything you eat and drink is made by them. Extraordinary wines, accessible to all budgets and palates, from the most expert to the most avid. If you're lucky enough to meet Riccardo (one of the owners), who tells you the story of these wines, you'll enter a world of its own. The cured meats are out of this world, each one better than the last, the soups extraordinary... Fair prices, top-notch quality for the food and drink, highly recommended... 12/04/2026: On Easter Sunday we stopped in Livorno with the idea of ​​eating cacciucco. As we walked, I was drawn to this charming little restaurant overlooking the water. We went in and sat inside, but the place was packed. The atmosphere was beautiful, with attention to detail, just like the exterior. The dishes were excellent and of high quality! They offered us a delicious tomato soup entree! My caciucco was so special that I would have liked an extra slice of bread inside! Let's say a little more! The octopus melted in my mouth... truly delicious! My companion had the seafood carbonara and the fried fish, both delicious! A sgroppino to end a wonderful Easter! Excellent service.

12/03/2026: A beautifully renovated historic building located at the foot of Volterra. I stayed for one night and had dinner there. The rooms are new, spacious, and equipped with every comfort. The restaurant is truly excellent, including a pizzeria. They provided me with a free indoor covered parking space for my motorcycle. In my opinion, it's excellent value for money, both for the room and the restaurant. The owner and all the staff are extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

08/10/2025: Very friendly waitress who is trying to learn French and speaks English well. Many people come to pick up takeout. There were 2 of us eating there. Be careful when it says spicy, it really is spicy. Very good Indian food.
