13/08/2024: I didn't make a reservation, but the timing was good so I just got in. The staff were friendly and we had a great time. I ordered the wild boar pasta. It contained stewed wild boar meat and was very delicious.

Pasquale and Woopee greet you with warmth and provide amazing food and well considered wine and throughout the night they ensure that you are truly spoilt!! I have never experienced a sense of welcome and a spirit of generosity like this. You'll have to dine with them to truly understand!!! Its mushroom and chestnut soup welcomes you and makes you fly....the first courses, the second courses, the desserts...all perfect as always...all accompanied by attentive and kind service!! 25/08/2024: We chose this place on the recommendation of local people to taste the Florentine, with very high expectations which, unfortunately, were only partially satisfied. We had dinner in the small room at the entrance, made up of a few tables and unfortunately not air conditioned (at least the evening we were there), so we suffered a bit from the heat. The service was excellent: the waitress was very attentive and courteous, really compliments! As anticipated, we decided to try the Florentine steak, a cut weighing approximately 1.5 kg. Although the cooking was PERFECT, the meat was very nervous and at times difficult to eat... We probably weren't lucky with the piece. The flavor was still great, a real shame. The starter, side dish and desserts, however, were really good! Very honest prices. I would like to recommend the place.

25/07/2024: Even leaving out the part where I found a long gray hair in my starter, fully cooked along with my egg, I guess things happen in the kitchen. Regardless, I felt so insulted by this restaurant. I‘ve tried it with my partner - 4 course tasting menu, and we get told that we would get two different menus. That’s how I was served fish, barley, and white wines, while he gets meat, pasta, liver and red wines. This goes on until dessert when I got a refreshing lavender mint dish while he gets the eggnog. I’m sorry but to assume that a woman prefers white wines in this area in 2024 is just insulting. The restaurant itself had flies going around everywhere and it was boiling hot, I’m not even sure the AC was on. I just want to set apart from this comment the waiters and the sommelier, it’s not their fault that the menu works like this and the choices they made were perfect.

21/07/2024: Semplicemente superlativo sotto ogni punto di vista! Location cibo ma la cosa che ho gradito di più è stato il servizio molto attento e assolutamente professionale! Il miglior servizio mai ricevuto in vita mia.

03/08/2024: A nice place we had dined in twice (the first visit was better). The ambience is very local and welcoming. Run by Dominic and served by 2 waitresses, all working fast and efficient. So no long waiting times for your order. They had daily specials. During our visit those were tuna tartar, tuna steak, eggplant flan on crema di parmigiana. All the dishes were well prepared, nicely served. We received good recommendations for the white wine - Offida Pecorino and di Gino from San Lorenzo. I especially recommend the eggplant flan and their cheesecake with strawberry sauce (the salty caramel sauce was overburnt and was very bitter). Recommend to book a table in advance. Good value for your money. Recommend.

22/11/2024: Sono ben felice di tornare, di tanto in tanto in questo bel locale relativamente vicino casa. L'ultima volta fu in occasione di una festa con tanti ospiti, mentre questa volta si è trattato di una cena di coppia. Come sempre tutto moto buono (con qualche piccola sbavatura fatta comunque presente), personale gentilissimo, atmosfera perfetta e prezzi nella media. Sicuramente ci tornerò.

27/07/2024: A unique human and culinary experience, to be repeated without further delay. ✨ La Locanda del Gallo offered us an exceptional meal that made us fall in love with Tuscan flavors. Everything is fresh, artisanal, and made with the heart. The staff was professional and very pleasant: we had the feeling of being pampered despite the language barrier (we do not speak Italian and little English). The breathtaking view of the extensive and hilly landscape contributes to the sensory journey that this meal constitutes. Everything is perfect, tasty, there are no negative points. When we return to the region, there is no doubt that we will dine again in this incredible restaurant, and inexpensive too! A memorable memory. Grazie mille 🙏🙏🙏

05/08/2024: Non sono solito scrivere recensioni eppure stavolta lo faccio con estremo piacere. Presso la trattoria ho avuto la possibilità di assaporare dei ravioli di patate e pecorino a dir poco spaziali, Goduriosi. Ovviamente fatti a mano. Un connubio di sapori che si compensavano e univano . Ovviamente,variando spesso il menù non sono sempre disponibili ma qualora vi venissero proposti prendeteli perché strameritano. Anche il resto dei piatti proposti sono altrettanto preparati con attenzione e prelibati ma questi tortelli mi hanno stregato.

15/11/2024: L'unica esperienza divertente di questo posto è il nome. Il cibo mediocre, presenza di pelo nell impepata che i camerieri dicono essere della guancia di maiale ( DUBBIO). Ribollita assomigliava al minestrone allungato con un po' di pane raffermo. La cheesecake è stata servita calda. Esperienza da dimenticare
