16/06/2024: We ate here last year and loved it! This year a totally different story. The food remains first class but obviously a manager was not present last evening. The service was very sub par. We did not receive our second round of drinks and staff seemed focused on a group of friends occupying a table near the entrance. Very disappointed after such a wonderful experience last year.

22/07/2024: We came to this restaurant for Florentine steak, which was the lowlight of our visit. We were told the smallest steak we could order was 1.3Kg, which we were fine with. We understood that the steak is served very rare, but it came out lightly charred with unrendered fat on the outside and raw on the inside (cool to the touch). The other dishes were fine, the service was mostly pleasant, but the star of the show was disappointing. While this was my first (and last) experience with Florentine steak in Florence, based on online photos, our steak was poorly prepared.

28/05/2024: Excellent experience in a truly fantastic restaurant, typical and perfectly located. We were recommended perfectly and we ate really, really well!!! Excellent care of the dishes, of the service and above all for celiac disease no problem!!!

23/05/2024: Came during my honeymoon with my wife. It was definitely a romantic setting. They sat us even though I did not make a reservation. This was the best Bisteca Fiorentina I had in Italy, better than the much more touristy restaurants we tried in Florence!! Our waiter was also amazing, friendly, communicated well, brought out the steak to show me before it was cooked to give me an idea of how big it was, which was hilarious! We also had the chef's special pasta which also very delicious!

18/07/2024: A Restaurant with a capital "R" indeed. As soon as you enter you immediately savor the scent of an environment of Tuscan cuisine "with all the trimmings"...! Very welcoming location Smart owners...with long experience...they know how to deal with customers, they immediately put you at ease and make you feel at home. I found here with pleasant surprise and with immense pleasure among the waiters two people who I have known for many years....Exceptional Eolo and tireless Doriano...! Menu and cuisine with the flavors of the past. Ragù... ravioli... suckling pig.... lamb....exceptional. I found the right place to stop when I come from Rome and want to have a tasty meal in a welcoming place. Thanks and congratulations

14/07/2024: For over thirty years it has been a point of reference in the country, every time it is a fixed stop. The service is welcoming, thoughtful and fast, they want to make you feel at home. The food is spectacular, quality products, cooked properly. In the photos, pici with tomato, schiaffone, suckling pig with pears and ricciolina, all delicious.

21/06/2024: This gem of a restaurant is located on a nice square (a little further away). The food is of excellent quality, beautifully presented and the service is absolutely top notch. Service with a smile, where can you find that nowadays! Little extras are served alongside the great food. We enjoyed it, especially when the price is absolutely in proportion to the food served (read: excellent price-quality ratio!!!)

Menu ricercato con particolari abbinamenti di ingredienti, tutto squisito e di alto livello, dall'antipasto al dolce è stata un'esplosione di sapori. Ampia carta dei vini con prezzi per tutte le tasche, servizio impeccabile, proprietario garbato e professionale con la battuta giusta al momento giusto, molto simpatico. Siamo stati veramente bene. 19/06/2024: I'm sure you can't find better in Massa Marittima. Perfect setting and dinner! Every dish is exquisite, especially those with truffles. Claudio (the owner) is very nice and a great professional of the trade, applause also goes to his wife for the delicious dishes cooked and for her kindness.

An enchanting typical Tuscan environment Courtesy and professionalism on the part of Claudio the manager The young waitress was also very knowledgeable But last but not least, the kitchen. In the kitchen the chef must know all the secrets of good cooking because the various dishes are simply wonderful A trip to paradise I recommend it!!!

25/07/2024: Even leaving out the part where I found a long gray hair in my starter, fully cooked along with my egg, I guess things happen in the kitchen. Regardless, I felt so insulted by this restaurant. I‘ve tried it with my partner - 4 course tasting menu, and we get told that we would get two different menus. That’s how I was served fish, barley, and white wines, while he gets meat, pasta, liver and red wines. This goes on until dessert when I got a refreshing lavender mint dish while he gets the eggnog. I’m sorry but to assume that a woman prefers white wines in this area in 2024 is just insulting. The restaurant itself had flies going around everywhere and it was boiling hot, I’m not even sure the AC was on. I just want to set apart from this comment the waiters and the sommelier, it’s not their fault that the menu works like this and the choices they made were perfect.

19/07/2024: An incredible culinary experience, for good value for money. Surprise desserts, sophisticated dishes and impeccable presentation. The service was very professional. We highly recommend this address.

18/07/2024: Very good food at very fair prices (e.g. a bottle of Primitivo for only €16!). The tuna (daily special yesterday) was particularly good. The pasta with pesto, cherry tomatoes and straziatella cheese was also very good. The dulce was also delicious. The cheesecake with raspberry sauce was particularly recommended.

01/07/2024: Super recommended place, we ate the Florentine and the owner specified to us in detail the different types of Florentine and never once did he leverage the most expensive one, in fact he tried to understand our tastes in order to offer a top service... really familiar and welcoming place, if you want to taste traditional dishes I recommend it.... 22/06/2024: Invitato ad un compleanno di parente di mia moglie sono andato ben volentieri nel locale appena ri-aperto dai soliti gestori....non ho da disquisire sul menù scelto ed offerto dal festeggiato ma le pietanze non sono quelle di prima; antipasto classi co toscano. Ok; Risotto con i funghi da dimenticare ,crudo e privo di sapore...no; Tagliolini con pomodoro e basilico non li ho presi ,già alla vista non mi soddisfacevano.....no...; Arrosto misto: tagliata fredda e piena di sale,fegatelli non cotti,rosticciana fredda....no. Ma.....non so se è stato un caso,gli daremo un' altra opportunità, vedremo.
