We had a great tasting while we avoided the Florence summer sun.

Lunch at Pitti Gola e Cantina is always a guarantee. 🍷 In the heart of Florence, right across from the splendid Piazza Pitti, lies a wine bar that manages to be elegant without ever being pretentious. The wine list is truly remarkable, with a wide variety of options by the glass. We tasted a selection that ranged from Trentodoc to Brunello, including Kerner, Verdicchio, Vitovska, Nebbiolo, Vin Santo, and even a 1975 Chianti Rufina. To accompany the wines: an excellent chicken liver terrine, a refined celeriac dish, a tartare with summer truffle, and two truly exquisite desserts. The real added value? The staff: knowledgeable, passionate, and capable of effortlessly recommending wine and food pairings, without ever being intrusive. If you love wine and are passing through Florence, Pitti Gola e Cantina is definitely worth a visit. A place where you can drink well, eat well, and feel welcomed. 🍷✨

We had such a great time having lunch. We chose this place in the first place for the wine list, but everything was just perfect. The food was really nice, with specific mention for the truffle pasta. The wine pairing was amazing, we enjoyed all of them. Special mention to our host who was so nice, she spent an extensive time explaining all the wines and in french on top of this! Thank you so much we will come again when in the area!

We enjoyed this place tremendously. Excellent wine tasting (flights), delicious food, warm and helpful waiters (which is not something you find at many places in Firenze). A highlight of the trip.

We had an amazing time here! We did the tasting menu with paired wines and everything was fantastic. The enoteca is tiny and used to be an old book store! We even got some winery recommendations for our trip to Tuscany. We also bought some delicious wine to take back to our apartment. Thank you for an amazing time!

An excellent tasting of classic Tuscan reds accompanied by an incredible cheese board, with attentive service and pleasant conversation. We loved it and will definitely return if we go back to Florence.
