25/07/2026: We had an incredible dinner at Il Barretto’s tonight!!! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality of a family owned restaurant with hands-on owners struck the first impression. The food was out of this world. Fresh ingredients in the appetizer course, built high expectations for our risotto and pasta order. And those expectations were far exceeded with the actual taste and presentation of those dishes. On to the steak and the side dishes… the temperature, taste, and texture were all off the charts impressive. We have known that ingredients and tradition made Florentine and Tuscan cuisine, but this restaurant executed the dishes in a spectacular way. The husband and wife owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating!! We leave this experience not only as customers, but lifelong fans of the restaurant and the owners.

11/07/2026: A charming and refined location, impeccable service, and excellent dishes. To be precise, spaghetti with clams and seafood bavette: very, very good and well-made. The tiramisu was good, although I personally prefer it more compact and less frothy.

14/07/2026: Disappointing experience. The service was slow and inattentive, the food was just okay, and the prices were much higher than the overall experience justified. If you're deciding between restaurants in the area, I'd recommend Nuti - Il Grande Nuti Trattoria instead for much better food, service, and overall value.

23/06/2026: First and last time on this terrace for an aperitivo for two. The service was disorganized and, above all, suffocating, not up to the standards of a 4-star establishment. As soon as we were seated, they asked us if we wanted to order without even bringing us a menu. After receiving the cocktail menu within three seconds, they asked us for our order again. My cocktail, a meager quantity, arrived devoid of any decoration and tasteless, perhaps because without the help of alcohol it's difficult to create something believable; the beer arrived in an unsuitable glass. It was accompanied by peanuts like in the neighborhood bars and four mini bruschettas that looked like they were left over from another table. Numerous waiters constantly came by, taking turns, to watch us do what we were doing. We hadn't even finished our drinks when they asked us if we wanted another round... how stressful. There was no chance to talk calmly, to enjoy a moment of relaxation. When the next person showed up, we asked for the bill and that was it. P.S. The terrace isn't anything special, it's just in a good location near the main monuments, and the view is best appreciated at dusk, at least I think so, because I decided to leave before even having dinner. UPDATE FOLLOWING THE MANAGER'S RESPONSE: Calling a review "strategic" just because it's not a compliment shows little openness to criticism. Mine is a faithful description of the experience, the truth about a subpar aperitif that wasn't worth my time or money. Two waiters in a row asking for an order is disorganized; asking for another round when the customer still has the first one in hand is suffocating. Confusing suffocating haste with thoughtfulness is your opinion, and the lack of professionalism cannot be justified by saying that the staff is young or that slow service would have been worse. It's ironic that you accuse me of expecting a "beer stein" when you were the ones who served us beer in a stein (just look at the attached photo), when we would have expected a classic beer glass, lighter and more suitable for a bar of this caliber. The photo speaks for itself: a fruit cocktail shouldn't be served bare, carelessly, and with a glass half empty. No one was expecting an aperitif, just the quality and professionalism that the hotel's category should guarantee: from a 4-star hotel, attention to detail is expected, not excuses based on "everyone does it like this." I wish your young staff the right balance between customer service and respect for their time, and I wish you all the best in the future. My initial "ciaone" remains true.

16/06/2026: We were so pleased this restaurant lived up to expectations. We read reviews prior to traveling to Florence and made a reservation via email. We received a confirmation email within 3 hours. We were not residents at the hotel, but the reception kindly directed us to the rooftop restaurant. All restaurant staff were friendly. Our waiter Dimitri was very attentive and built a good rapport with us. He is an asset to the restaurant and a credit to himself. The food was presented well and delicious. It was the best meal during our four day stay. Would highly recommend and return for dinner when back in Florence.

08/03/2026: On our way back from Florence, we stopped for lunch at this delightful trattoria. We enjoyed typical dishes with a true Tuscan flavor, from crostini to pici pasta, and an excellent Chianina stew. All accompanied by an exquisite house wine, of which we purchased two bottles to take home. The owner's friendliness and kindness were an added bonus. Highly recommended, especially for its proximity to the highway toll booth.

31/12/2025: Nice place. Easy to get to. Exit the highway at Bettolle. Excellent Tuscan cuisine. The chickpea and spinach soup was creamy and amazing. Pici all'aglione (arugula with garlic), excellent chicken liver crostini, Chianina stew, and a Chimina burger, truly excellent. Water, wine, and dessert. €33 per person. Friendly and approachable owner. We'll definitely be back if we pass through.

13/05/2026: Easily accessible from major roads and a short distance from the city center, the Hotel Minerva is a four-star hotel with ample on-site parking, accessible even late at night thanks to a 24-hour concierge service. The hotel, divided into two buildings connected by the reception, offers impeccable service. The rooms are perfectly spacious for two people. The bathroom is spacious and clean, but unfortunately windowless. All amenities, including a safe, minibar, and television, are included in the rooms. The building also features a restaurant (also accessible to non-hotel guests), a fitness center, and spacious conference rooms. Another convenience is the connection to the city center, just a short walk from the hotel.

16/07/2026: Everything was fantastic. The beef shish kebab was phenomenal and tasty. The chicken tandoori was awesome and well marinated. The lamb Karahi was phenomenal! Beat I’ve ever had.

09/03/2026: I stopped at this bar before the start of the Under 23 cycling race. The atmosphere is simple, the breakfast excellent, and the service provided. The staff is courteous and friendly. There are tables and chairs at the sides of the entrance, and parking is available along the street and internal roads. RECOMMENDED 🙂🥐☕️👍🏻

05/07/2026: First time here thanks to some friends who live in Prato. What can I say? The couscous was the best I've ever had, and everything else was just as good. Very good Ethiopian coffee! I hope to return soon. Well done!!!
