05/10/2025: Il Veliero Restaurant is located near the Bologna train station in a side street and the view from the outside does not give away the treasure hidden inside. I found the restaurant when I was staying nearby and ended up returning every evening during my stay. The numerous table reservations and people waiting for a free table inside and outside speak for how good it is. The service is very kind and attentive and the food is simply amazing! I tried pizza and pasta and everything was perfect. On the last evening I also had tiramisu for dessert and it was out of this world. If you are in Bologna I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

12/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic food at la Taverna, we had the lasagne, a pumpkin filled pasta. It was so delicious. Its a busy place with great staff trying their best to fit as many people in. Loved it

15/10/2025: This review, written on October 14, 2025, isn't for the gelato. Cremeria d'Azeglio's gelato is good, but you can't go wrong with gelato in Bologna. So, what's this 5-star review for? For the girl at the counter tonight: Stefania. We had left a line at another gelato shop where a poor woman was trying to serve 20 people alone. We came here and Stefania was alone too. She managed the stress of the people and the delivery drivers with rare efficiency, concentration, and politeness. I'm not saying everyone should be like this, because the working conditions were clearly harsh, but I want to make it clear that the people who work to guarantee us our services are precious, and those who do it with this grace are invaluable. Thank you, Stefania.

The atmosphere of this place makes you feel like you're staying with your Italian mother. We had full meals, including drinks, coffee, and dessert. For seven people, we paid 110 euros.

05/10/2025: We can now consider ourselves loyal customers, given the number of times we've dined at this osteria. Amole combines excellent quality and preparation of the products with a welcoming atmosphere and kind, attentive service. Many small touches make guests feel not just like customers but part of the place itself. It's difficult to recommend any dishes (but the fried chicken is a MUST try!): I'd suggest browsing through the many options, always paying attention to the spiciness of the dishes. In this sense, it's always helpful to ask the wait staff for advice. The quality/price ratio is more than fair, which, in Bologna, is a rarity these days.

09/09/2025: An excellent product that satisfies the palate 100%. The owners are very kind and helpful. There's a large indoor space and an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy your meal at your leisure. Prices are reasonable. Personally, I also recommend trying the brioche with gelato, which, even on its own, is a masterpiece of flavor and deliciousness. I'll never change you...!!!

26/09/2025: I noticed this place as we were walking the porticos on our way to Santuario Madonna di San Luca. On our way back down we stopped in and sat inside. This has such atmosphere, so nice as your sitting to look around. The waiter helped us choose wine and a cheese tasting. By the way did an excellent job as these were very good tasting cheeses. He later came over to talk with us sharing very good information about the local foods. We're glad we found this place. We'll worth stopping at.

23/08/2025: An ideal place for an aperitivo, coming down from San Luca. The waiter was professional, kind, friendly, and very helpful. Quality food and beer. I highly recommend it!!!

08/10/2025: I visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and chose the full tasting menu with the wine pairing. The service was excellent and the food was truly well prepared – refined and delicious throughout the eight courses. However, the experience felt unbalanced: there was simply too much food, while the wine servings were disappointingly small for the price. At €80 for the pairing, I expected more generous pours and a smoother flow between wines. The pre-dinner glass of champagne (€20) was also surprisingly small. Overall, a fine restaurant with great service and food, but the value and proportions could be improved.

30/09/2025: Great find in Bologna. Ended up booking this during my honeymoon with my wife and they went above and beyond to make the experience special. Went with the tasting menu set by the kitchen and was impressed with the mix of traditional and more experimental modern ones as well. Service was a standout with the servers working more as a team- in particular Andrea took the time to discuss some of the history of the restaurant with us which was super cool.

06/10/2025: Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The service was awful, with obvious disrespect toward the customers and clear dissatisfaction with the size of the order.

29/09/2025: Everything was delicious! A place where you can also eat Apulian food in Bologna! We ordered various appetizers, including the exceptional fava bean purée with crostini and porcini mushrooms, excellent crescentine and cured meats. For our first course, we had the tagliatelle with mushrooms: delicious, as was the main course (orecchiette with meatballs and roulade). The house wine was really good! Fast service and friendly staff. Prices were average. I highly recommend this restaurant!
