18/09/2025: The restaurant is located in a quiet area, and the interior is very spacious. Four of us came for lunch on a Saturday and, at the manager's suggestion (?), wanted to try the house specials. It was a perfect choice: I wasn't thrilled with the lamb ragù, but the rest of the food was exceptionally good, even though I'm not a fan of spices. The meat was delicious, and the various legume-based sauces paired perfectly with the stew. I didn't particularly appreciate the traditional bread (too spongy), the papaya/coconut/mango desserts, or the special coffee they have, the name of which I can't remember (spiced with ginger and cumin). The wild fennel bread, however, is worth it. Worth a try, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering it's in Bologna: €90, including drinks, for four of us. We ate a lot.

16/09/2025: A dinner that was a true journey to Africa! The flavors are authentic and rich, the dishes are carefully prepared and truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of atmosphere, making you feel like you've been transported directly to the African continent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who want to discover new culinary traditions without leaving Bologna.

25/10/2025: The food is good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the place is quite noisy, which makes the experience a little less relaxing. Overall, a good place, but perhaps not ideal if you're looking for quiet.

12/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic food at la Taverna, we had the lasagne, a pumpkin filled pasta. It was so delicious. Its a busy place with great staff trying their best to fit as many people in. Loved it

04/11/2025: Good value for money. We were served fairly quickly, the meal was generally good but not exceptional. Good value for money. The service could be improved. I can understand that during busy periods there might be oversights, but three times in a row is excessive.

03/10/2025: We were here for an aperitif. Excellent service, a relaxed atmosphere, and not too touristy, close to the university district. They not only served the usual chips with our drinks but also delicious bruschetta. A definite recommendation, away from the crowds.

21/10/2025: This was a great experience. We had a cocktail in the bar first - terrific negroni for me. We were able to enjoy our drinks and then move into the dining room. The room is lovely with a stunning roof fresco. We opted to go with the 6 course tasting surprise menu. There were extra little amuse bouche through the meal. The service was excellent. The main older man with the grey hair explained each dish very well and seemed proud of the food. We really liked him. The sommelier was very good too. We started with a local white wine and then went onto a red wine. Both were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It felt like a proper treat. I would recommend if you want a special meal in Bologna.

16/10/2025: Never to be forgotten…we have spent the past 4 weeks ‘living’ here in Bologna - visiting from Tasmania, Australia. Last night we came to I Carracci to celebrate both our 50th wedding anniversary and our combined 70th birthdays this year. From our first interaction with Simone, where we came in prior to ensure that we would have the correct dress code (as travellers), to the whole experience, we were blown away. The ambience of being seated in an historic room, served magnificent food (there was nothing that was not flavoursome nor so unique) and was topped off by being made to feel so special with a candlelit dessert decorated Buona Anniversario! 15/10/2025: This review, written on October 14, 2025, isn't for the gelato. Cremeria d'Azeglio's gelato is good, but you can't go wrong with gelato in Bologna. So, what's this 5-star review for? For the girl at the counter tonight: Stefania. We had left a line at another gelato shop where a poor woman was trying to serve 20 people alone. We came here and Stefania was alone too. She managed the stress of the people and the delivery drivers with rare efficiency, concentration, and politeness. I'm not saying everyone should be like this, because the working conditions were clearly harsh, but I want to make it clear that the people who work to guarantee us our services are precious, and those who do it with this grace are invaluable. Thank you, Stefania.

31/08/2025: My wife and I went there for lunch on a Sunday. We already knew the place because we'd been there before. The quality has always remained the same.

05/10/2025: We can now consider ourselves loyal customers, given the number of times we've dined at this osteria. Amole combines excellent quality and preparation of the products with a welcoming atmosphere and kind, attentive service. Many small touches make guests feel not just like customers but part of the place itself. It's difficult to recommend any dishes (but the fried chicken is a MUST try!): I'd suggest browsing through the many options, always paying attention to the spiciness of the dishes. In this sense, it's always helpful to ask the wait staff for advice. The quality/price ratio is more than fair, which, in Bologna, is a rarity these days.

26/10/2025: This place, in my opinion, deserves the best. Young, friendly staff with a nice and good selection of food and wine. A small place, as the name suggests, with a lot of history and tradition. You can enjoy Bolognese tapas and much more, like the excellent fried meatballs.

12/10/2025: Take a break from Illy and stop here for a fantastic specialty coffee experience. Boutique espresso and v60 on brew from some of the rbst Roasters and producers in the world. Table servíce and knowledgable staff. Highly reccomend

08/10/2025: We were there with our motorhome. The washroom is clean, and the shower is hot and there's no limit. You should know your vehicle, as the access is a bit cramped. But it wasn't a problem with our 7-meter motorhome. Everyone is very friendly, and the groundskeeper speaks good German. The food in the restaurant is good. We would come again.
