02/02/2026: Attracted by the reviews we'd read online, we went to this restaurant on Sunday evening. Nothing to complain about the plating, as it was truly meticulously prepared, certainly among the most beautiful we've seen so far in Bologna. BUT (there's a big but), we saw a huge cockroach crawling along the wall next to a table and approaching the clean plates. The waiter, noticing its unwelcome presence, quietly reached over with a handkerchief and removed the creature, without replacing the plates underneath or even disinfecting the area in question.
We reported the incident at the cashier, but the waiter made it clear he didn't understand what we were saying and didn't know what a cockroach was.
So, while I compliment the chef, I won't be returning to this restaurant again.

18/05/2026: I've read some negative reviews, and I have to say that almost all of them were about strollers and dogs.
It's an exaggeration, as the restaurant seats eight. I don't understand how people can't understand that a stroller takes up half the place.
The food is top-notch.
18/05/2026: A truly highly recommended traditional Japanese restaurant. Original flavors and fair prices. Takeout, however, isn't the same for me. You need to sit down and immerse yourself in the spirit of the place with a hot cup of tea!

20/04/2026: A tiny space with about ten seats hides the incredible quality and sophistication of the dishes. You'll find the typical Japanese seafood with a few Italian touches (like the scallop with almonds and fennel, out of this world). Furthermore, the waiter split the bill perfectly, even though we had shared dishes and ordered separate ones. Highly recommended! (Reservations are recommended if you want to secure a table.)
14/04/2026: I've rarely been persuaded by reviews, considering that they're often driven by personal culinary preferences, both positive and negative. This time, I chose to trust the many positive reviews and dine at Sicilian. Forget the classic all-you-can-eat fare; this is quality sushi, as conceived in Japan. But it's precisely here that the ingenious combination of Italian ingredients (I fell in love with the Mazara del Vallo shrimp) creates a new culinary vision. Sicilian was a discovery, a sophisticated yet artisanal experience; the owner's kind welcome and the calm preparation round out and confirm the positive experiences of those who have described this Italian-Asian journey, perhaps not even fully understood without experiencing it firsthand.
I will return with great enthusiasm.
p.s. I highly recommend the Mazara del Vallo shrimp nigiri.

This was a wonderful discovery.
The restaurant has a style that's somewhere between modern classic European and a touch of the East. The staff is friendly and competent.
The food is exquisite, fresh, and surprising with its combination of colors and flavors.
The dishes are tastefully presented, aesthetically pleasing, and also a delight to the eyes.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was a bit overwhelming for me due to too much formality, but that's fine; we had a great time anyway.
We'll definitely be back.
Must try, highly recommended.
31/05/2025: I can't understand how you can run a restaurant without a vegetarian menu... how can you reduce Eastern cuisine to an endless list of insipid, meat-based dishes... is that all??? Really?? Send the chef to school... Moreover, this policy is truly masochistic because every time there are people in the company who don't want to eat meat, the whole company will go eat somewhere else.

Unfortunately, a big NO.

15/05/2026: It's been a long time since we've been to Sushiko in Castenaso. The best of this chain is still the one in Forlì, with much more variety and better quality. Everything here is bland, flavorless, and limited selection. Honestly, we won't be going again. Excellent service, friendly waiters.
21/04/2026: Menu adapted for Europeans. I would have preferred to have had more original raw dishes. Maybe it's not possible or I didn't have the opportunity to taste them, because I was invited and didn't order myself. But, anyway, it's nowhere like it was years ago.
