16/06/2026: We had made a reservation to eat pizza at a table on the veranda, on the very evening that the Corso dei Fiori event with its allegorical floats was taking place in San Giorgio di Piano, so the place was quite crowded.
Probably because there were so many people, the table was missing cutlery and they had run out of clean ones, so the pizzas arrived and we couldn't eat them right away, so they got a bit cold.
They were good, though!

Trattoria L'Angiolino

17/02/2026: After being there years ago, I didn't have the chance to go back for about ten years. It was a good experience then, and even better after returning.
It's not exactly a trattoria, more of a restaurant. Prices are average, but you still leave full. The cuisine features both traditional and more sophisticated elements, but everything is excellent, starting with the welcome offering of mortadella and capon meatballs. Fassona beef tartare, Jewish-style artichokes, crepes, and Brunello di Montalcino risotto—all spectacular, beautifully presented. The portions aren't truck-sized, but they're just right, and the desserts are excellent too. The menu changes about monthly, but it's always consistently top-notch. It's also nice to chat with the chef. They have a decent wine cellar, but I have to say the house red, Sangiovese, was still very good (I don't know if that was luck).
The bill: for two, two first courses, two appetizers, two desserts, water, wine, total €90—well-deserved, and perhaps not even that much considering the quality.
14/02/2026: A truly sensory experience where the pleasure of taste exceeded every expectation. The dishes were beautiful to look at, the service excellent, and 5 stars for the chef, who is truly one of a kind.

28/06/2026: We've had pizza here several times and it was always very good but yesterday 27/06 it was truly terrible, a very hard sole... I don't understand why this change happened.

04/09/2025: No frills. Sometimes it has good prices, and even sells 100-octane gasoline. It's a good place for lunch, both as a bar and for hot dishes. Very popular with drivers and workers.

Pizzeria Pomi

09/03/2026: Unfortunately, the owner has passed away. Pizzeria Pomi is closing permanently. A new pizzeria under a different name will open on the San Giorgio premises starting Friday, March 13th.
A shame, a real shame: it was the only place in these parts where you could enjoy a properly made pizza. Thanks and best wishes to the owner, who has always stood out for his professionalism, honesty, kindness, and willingness to accommodate customer requests. These are rare qualities these days.

01/08/2023: Non é possibile con questi prezzi, di trovare dei cibi cosi insipidi. Pasta precotta, carne dura che bagna nella panna, desserts senza storia in breve . Con mia moglie siamo arrivati per caso in queto luogo, ma avremmo fatto meglio di cenare in albergo

Carta dei vini eccellente con scelte biologiche e biodinamiche.
Spesa più che corretta per ciò che si mangia e beve
Nota da non dimenticare: ampia selezione di gin e di amari.
Consigliatissimo!!!

27/06/2025: Waitress very confused, trying to order 2 pizzas she understood that your pizzas were one mixed, despite the change of choice she still brought the 2 pizzas mixed into one, after sending the pizza back she still managed to communicate the wrong order and we had to correct it a second time. The pizza was mostly liquid and fell apart just by picking it up, still edible. We also took alive al'lascolana and some mozzarella balls and their breading was quite hard but mostly good. If you like thick pizza I do not recommend this restaurant.
