30/03/2026: Amazing food and atmosphere in Bologna. it was an amazing experience, the food was perfect and the staff very friendly and welcoming. We got two pasta dishes and one main course to share, they even brought the main dish split in two plates for us. I would really recommend dining here!

17/01/2026: If, like me, you're only in Bologna for one night, come to dinner at Vecchia Bottega and fill up on delicious food, excellent wine, and lovely people! Not knowing what to choose, I ventured a request, which was greeted with a smile. I came for the tagliatelle, and then I ordered a platter, two first courses, and dessert. Everything was excellent, like home-made, but even better because the atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful. Even though I was alone, I felt like I was part of the whole place. The tiramisu is special. My week of Italian vacation ends beautifully and sweetly!

01/04/2026: The reservation process went smoothly, but both on arrival and during the day of our visit, we found the service to be quite unfriendly – ​​consequently, we didn't feel welcome at all during our meal. The food didn't live up to the expectations of a 4.7 rating (the meat was rather tough, the mushroom sauce oily and rubbery, the salad uninspired, and the lasagna tasted okay but had a very soft texture). The room is nice, but the background music (Beyoncé) didn't contribute to a more relaxed Italian atmosphere. The wine was very tasty, and we would have gladly had another glass. However, since we felt very unwelcome and got the impression that we weren't liked or appreciated, we left immediately after eating. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

04/04/2026: I was at Amole last night and, unfortunately, had a worrying experience. I had just finished dinner: the food was good, and the wait staff was also friendly. Sitting in front of the open kitchen, I saw a staff member wipe his nose several times with gloves and then continue handling the food without changing them. This behavior was unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint.
