A wonderful and delicious experience at this restaurant, which offers traditional cuisine with a sophisticated twist. As a vegetarian in this region, it's not easy for me to find delicious, meat-free dishes...at Trattoria Del Borgo, I had a truly excellent appetizer, first course, and dessert. Friendly and courteous service, a very cozy atmosphere, and excellent value. We were two families with four somewhat noisy children, but despite that, we had a really good time.

We had lunch here today and were delighted. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were incredibly friendly. We ate some amazing dishes. Original yet always with a traditional twist.

Unique experience.
We visited Bologna for business and stayed at Monteveglio.
Both Trattoria Del Borgo and Casa Edvige Suite made our stay an unforgettable experience.

As many others have said, if I could award more than 5 stars I would, we drove up the hill on a recommendation during our stay in the area, we received a wonderful reception despite our lack of reservation and very poor Italian, service was wonderful and a laugh from being given the owners glasses as I was holding the menu at arms length (we had the same prescription, lol) to the bubbly hilarious waitress (yes you can come to Australia 🤣)to the absolutely divine local cuisine and regional wine and beer. Thankyou you made a couple of wandering Australians very happy a meal we will remember for a long time.

Located in the small abbey village of Monteveglio, this restaurant offers traditional Bolognese cuisine (of a quality no longer found in the city), using carefully selected, local ingredients. The wine list offers a good selection, including mentions of lesser-known local varietals. The service is warm and attentive, explaining the origins of the ingredients and offering advice on the selection. It's the ideal restaurant for a Sunday lunch inspired by memories of grandma's cooking.

A very beautiful venue, located in a medieval village within the walls of the Monteveglio Abbey. Charming inside and beautiful outside, perfect for enjoying the fresh vegetables of the Bolognese hills on warm summer evenings. Refined cuisine creates interesting creations, with refined dishes and delightful pairings. A fine wine cellar showcasing a variety of local and international wines, and professional sommelier service.

A pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined. The staff is kind and attentive, making you feel right at home.
The cuisine is traditional, authentic, and full of authentic flavors. I had the tortelli al pomodoro, which were truly excellent: fresh pasta, a balanced filling, and a simple yet flavorful sauce that perfectly complemented the dish. For dessert, I chose the panna cotta, delicate and creamy, perfect for ending the meal on a sweet yet not cloying note. I'll be back!
