16/06/2026: We had made a reservation to eat pizza at a table on the veranda, on the very evening that the Corso dei Fiori event with its allegorical floats was taking place in San Giorgio di Piano, so the place was quite crowded. Probably because there were so many people, the table was missing cutlery and they had run out of clean ones, so the pizzas arrived and we couldn't eat them right away, so they got a bit cold. They were good, though!

07/07/2026: Worth the hype. The owner greeted us, took our order (four pizzas at the bottom of the yellow section are outstanding) and in about ten minutes we had dinner. Best pizza we've had in Italy, and we've been here a month.

07/07/2026: We went to Bologna for the day and my daughter took us to this pizzeria where she'd been a few days earlier. The pizza was absolutely delicious, the best pizza dough I've ever had, excellent service, and a good price. 100% recommended.

05/07/2026: Everything is always perfect. Excellent cuisine, especially the seafood. Super tender grilled octopus. If you have a sweet tooth like me, finishing with a Delizia al Limone is a must. Adequate portions and reasonable prices. Friendly staff and attentive service. They also have a few tables outside. Very busy even during the week, I highly recommend booking! See you next time.

The topping variety changes throughout the day, and that’s a massive plus—it just means they are consistently cranking out fresh, incredibly delicious offerings. We loved every single thing we tried. Bonus points for the high-quality olive oil sitting on the table; I found a bottle and drizzled it right on my slice because I like my pizza well lubed up. Absolutely top-tier pizza. It’s done by weight so point at what you want and let them know how big. They will heat it up and cut it down to bite size morsels for your nibbling enjoyment.

05/07/2026: My wife has come here several times with her friends, and out of curiosity, I decided to join her for dinner one evening. The place is beautiful, with several rooms, including a bar with a coffee shop near the entrance. The outdoor area is large, with tables and chairs. We arrived at the entrance and waited about 10 minutes for a table to become available, then they showed us to our table. We ordered a large salad and a 4-seasons pizza. I chose the pizza, attracted by the large plates they were bringing to the dining room, and this encouraged me to choose it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed because the pizza they brought to me had nothing to do with its appearance or taste. The thin crust, similar to a schiacciata, was good, but I've never eaten pizza made like that in my life! If I were to return, I'd definitely order something else, but the pizza was disappointing. I recommend avoiding the pizza because it's not worth it, but the place is.

06/07/2026: We were disappointed with the pizza dough; it was stiff, hard to cut, unpleasant to eat, and lacked flavor. The toppings were good, but we were very disappointed with the rest. A shame.

26/07/2026: Very kind and professional staff. I'd especially like to mention the homemade gluten-free pasta: it's an understatement to call it delicious, and for a celiac, it's a true paradise! More generally, they have a wide-ranging gluten-free menu!

25/07/2026: The bill is only Roman-style, and no exceptions are made. The restaurant still operates on a pen-and-paper basis... which means no one leaves until the table is finished. The pasta dishes are very good, the portions are just right, and the pizza is well-topped. The staff is excellent.

10/05/2026: If you're passing through or living in Bologna and want a quality seafood lunch without having to endure hours of highway travel, then Il Marinaio, right next to the Savena River lock, is an excellent choice. I went there today for the first time and was definitely satisfied. The price was also fair. The place is certainly dated, but I prioritize the quality of the seafood and the service. These are really good, and I'll be back soon.
