08/06/2026: The food was absolutely delicious; we're still talking about it. Andrea explained everything to us in detail and gave us excellent advice. We've rarely eaten so well. He also has fantastic wines and non-alcoholic drinks that he makes himself. The pasta is also freshly rolled and prepared on-site. We'll definitely be back; Bologna is very conveniently located for a stopover.

07/05/2026: This osteria is simply perfect: for its location, for the warmth of its friendly, family atmosphere, for the quality of the food served, and for the owner's great passion for what I believe isn't a business venture, but rather a sharing of his passion for food and its history. Having arrived early, I had the opportunity to listen (I think unseen, I was in the corner) as he explained to his staff how and why to recommend a particular wine, meticulously describing its unique characteristics and perfect pairings. Speaking of the food, I'd say it was remarkable to taste their freshly baked bread, or their fried gnocchi (here they call them crescentine), and everything else. In short, I have just one word: THANK YOU.

05/05/2026: We sampled the cheese platter with jams, fried cappelletti, grilled meat, lasagna with venison sausage, and zuppa inglese cooked with cocoa spheres. Everything was delicious (the dessert and grill were top-notch). The gentleman in charge was alone and attentively attended to all the customers. Beautiful view from the veranda.

16/05/2026: We stayed here after completing the first stage of the Via Degli Dei trail. The owner and staff were very friendly, and we were able to leave our vehicle with them during our multi-day hike. The next morning, the owner even gave us a free ride to the trailhead. The room was spacious and very clean, and the dinner was delicious. Thank you for this wonderful, welcoming experience.

06/04/2026: Easter Monday lunch. Chosen by chance during a day spent in the hills outside Bologna. The welcome was warm and the service was very friendly and attentive to the customer's needs. The homemade pasta was delicious; the tagliatelle with balsamic vinegar was well-balanced, compliments. The ravioli were equally delicious, and I appreciated their delicate flavor. The cold cuts were also very good, accompanied by the famous crescentine. This was followed by the mixed grill, and finally the fried cream. Not far from the highway, but well worth a visit.

30/03/2026: Basic but clean rooms, a wide selection for breakfast (including savory options cooked to order), and delicious dinners. Service and availability are top marks!

19/04/2026: Passed! Finally, a bakery that makes cookies made with butter!!! And crackling rolls that are delicious. There's a reason they've been there for 50 years.

21/04/2026: For dinner on a Sunday. All good and beautiful. Diverse menu, if you want you can find flaws, not so Chinese, but everything tastes and looks good. It was not crowded, not even ambient music. A restaurant where you can go with confidence, but rather for those from the age of two and up. They offer a free beer and a cup of rose grappa per person.

04/05/2026: I chose this place to celebrate my 40th birthday and because I love craft beers, the girl who served us even gave me a beer 🥰 ❤️ so everything was perfect, suitable for a young clientele between 30 and 40 years old, very good dishes, shame about the onion rings, good but not as crispy as one would expect, the people who work there are very kind and friendly, maybe because I was on crutches 🤣 jokes aside, very kind and friendly, I'll come back, the price is worth it, McDonald's and many other places should be ashamed of selling €10 sandwiches, they are disgusting here, the price is in my opinion even low for what it's worth, I will return regarding the music, a bit of a flaw, you struggle to hear what the person next to you is saying, it should be quieter

16/05/2026: We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had lunch at the restaurant. The atmosphere is rustic but welcoming. The staff is friendly. The service is fairly quick. We ordered a platter to share, followed by passatelli (very good) and beef cheek...the meat was incredibly tender. Good value for money, especially considering it's close to Bologna. Outside the restaurant is a lovely park where you can stroll.

07/05/2026: The best bed of the month. Clean room, bathroom, redone overnight. A sumptuous breakfast (watch the video), all homemade desserts. The restaurant serves its only dish, avoid the lasagna, which obviously isn't very good, but the rest is definitely better. The young, lively, and enthusiastic staff are a great team, no exceptions. Definitely worth returning.

17/05/2026: Ristorante Nuova Roma is one of those restaurants that seem to belong to a slower time, with well-kept tables, relaxed conversations, and flavors that immediately bring you back to the most authentic Emilian tradition. The setting retains a very distinctive retro elegance: no modern excess, but rather the warm and sincere charm of old-fashioned dining rooms, where every detail seems to tell a story. Lunch began with an appetizer of crescentine accompanied by mixed cold cuts, cheeses, friggione, and pickles: a triumph of aromas and flavors. The crescentine were fragrant and light, perfect for sharing, while the rest was prepared with care and quality. It's one of those dishes that instantly put you in a good mood and make it clear that the cuisine here is taken seriously. We then continued with tagliatelle with ragù, rich in flavor and deeply rooted in Bolognese tradition: well-rolled pasta, enveloping sauce, and that reassuring taste that only certain cuisines still know how to deliver. But the dish that struck me most was the ricotta and spinach tortelloni with butter and gold: delicate, balanced, almost velvety on the palate. A seemingly simple dish, but crafted with a care that is evident in every bite. The menu's attention to seasonality is also evident, with dishes that change seasonally and highlight fresh, authentic ingredients. The service also deserves special mention: friendly, attentive, professional, but always discreet and natural. A restaurant that doesn't try to impress with special effects, but rather wins you over with authenticity, quality, and that nostalgic, elegant atmosphere that is increasingly rare today.

15/05/2026: We had a really lovely evening overall at Ristorante Nuova Roma. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were beyond helpful, friendly and attentive throughout the night. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and were always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars for the food is because I personally wasn’t very impressed with the pizza. The sauce and toppings lacked a bit of flavour for my taste. However aside from that the experience itself was very enjoyable and the service truly made up for it. A big thank you to the team for their kindness and hospitality it really made the evening pleasant and memorable.
