16/06/2026: Fantastic ethnic dining experience. We went with family and had a great time. The food is exceptional, making you feel like you're at an Ethiopian family's home. Everyone loved it, and we'll definitely be back. I discovered it by chance and was completely surprised by the excellent dishes and the atmosphere, rich in African atmosphere. I especially recommend it to vegetarians. A very characteristic place, very good food, extremely courteous waitress. A surprising place. We went to this restaurant for the first time, drawn by the excellent reviews. The atmosphere is very characteristic, the family that runs the place is very kind and helpful, they welcome you like family and treat you with extreme warmth. The food is simply delicious, transporting you to Ethiopia, with typical flavors full of personality. Derek recommends an exquisite dish. The tea is a very tasty treat at the end of the meal, a tasty digestif. We'll be back, and it's highly recommended. I've eaten at this restaurant a while back. I wanted to experience the atmosphere of another country. The owner is truly sweet and kind, but she's obviously alone at lunch, so the dining room feels a bit abandoned. Perhaps there's more folklore at dinner. The food is good, especially the vegetables. Habesha is a small ethnic restaurant in the heart of Bologna. The food is delicious, cooked with so much care and passion, just like the restaurant itself. The space is small but well-kept, very charming, and full of traditional dishes. The staff is incredibly kind and can easily make you smile. Tip: try the African wine; it's delicious. See you later Goodbye.

09/10/2025: Truly delicious sandwiches. Initially, we came solely for the porchetta (which remains the mainstay), but they've increased the variety, maintaining high quality. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's becoming a pleasant Saturday lunchtime habit.

06/10/2025: Wonderful place. Staff is super friendly and authentic. Food is extraordinary best panino I've eaten in bologna. Packed with locals and atmosphere. Later the whole plaza is full with young people, music ect.

10/05/2026: I'll start by saying that since it opened, I've tried several flavors, all excellent. However, when we come in, after a quick look at the selection, we always choose the zabaglione. Superlative. You can taste and feel all the ingredients. Delicious. If you like zabaglione, of course. The granitas are also very good, and the owners are very nice. 👏

The staff were so patient and thoughtful with their introductions and flavor recommendations, which truly brightened my first day in Bologna. 10/11/2025: Hmmmm! 🍦 We had the pistachio ice cream it was super yummy. You can still feel the fresh nuts and the saltines and it’s insanely creamy.

19/05/2026: Well, the dishes are neither good nor bad, but my impression is of people with a vegetarian ideal opening a restaurant, not of a talented chef deciding to open a vegetarian restaurant. High prices, dishes a bit patchy. Ate for two, spent a lot, enjoyed very little.

22/05/2026: Clorofila was one of our favorite meals in Bologna. The eggplant parmesan was easily the best we had during our entire two-week trip through Italy — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and prompt, and the restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We were tempted by the fish dishes, but Anthony Bourdain’s “never order swordfish in a restaurant” advice stuck with me, and being from the Pacific Northwest, I figured the salmon had tough competition anyway. Absolutely recommend this place if you’re in Bologna.

06/05/2026: We had lunch with friends and all ate daily specials prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Everything was homemade, including the cheeses and cured meats. The first courses were excellent and top-quality. The dessert was also fantastic, with mascarpone for the tiramisu made to order. Highly recommended.

17/03/2026: A pleasant weekend lunch while visiting Bologna. I chose this place after following recommendations online, and I was very pleased. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to sit outside in early February, but we accepted anyway because we were curious to try the dishes they served. We had a nest as an appetizer, with pumpkin, leek, and more; it was truly delicious! We then had two different first courses, both very interesting. We also added mixed baked potatoes. Good flavors, friendly service, medium-high prices, but definitely worth a try. I recommend it!
