31/03/2026: Unique and authentic flavors and aromas! When my mom and I get together in Bologna, do we go to a typical Bolognese restaurant? No. We go to Habesha, where the lady who welcomes you (who I think is also the owner) is kind and old-fashioned, and where you can have an authentic ethnic culinary experience, spending a fair amount. I highly recommend it.

19/02/2026: My experience at Caffè Montagno was very disappointing. My family and I have been going there for years, but over time, the situation has deteriorated significantly. The owners are often rude and arrogant, not only towards customers but especially towards the employees, who are treated terribly. I've repeatedly witnessed humiliating reprimands made in front of everyone, in a rude and disrespectful tone, clearly embarrassing the employees. Such behavior is unacceptable and creates a heavy and unpleasant atmosphere, even for those who are there as customers. The quality of service is also highly inconsistent.

09/10/2025: Truly delicious sandwiches. Initially, we came solely for the porchetta (which remains the mainstay), but they've increased the variety, maintaining high quality. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's becoming a pleasant Saturday lunchtime habit.

06/10/2025: Wonderful place. Staff is super friendly and authentic. Food is extraordinary best panino I've eaten in bologna. Packed with locals and atmosphere. Later the whole plaza is full with young people, music ect.

10/05/2026: I'll start by saying that since it opened, I've tried several flavors, all excellent. However, when we come in, after a quick look at the selection, we always choose the zabaglione. Superlative. You can taste and feel all the ingredients. Delicious. If you like zabaglione, of course. The granitas are also very good, and the owners are very nice. 👏

18/04/2026: We've always ordered pizza from home, as it's one of the best in the area for super-fast delivery (sometimes just enough time for a shower). We recently had dinner right there. The pizza is, of course, delicious (and easy to digest), as always. Special mention goes to the kindness and attentiveness of the staff!

10/11/2025: Hmmmm! 🍦 We had the pistachio ice cream it was super yummy. You can still feel the fresh nuts and the saltines and it’s insanely creamy.

30/12/2025: Amazing gelato and even warmer people! Highly recommend the tiramisu and crema — incredibly creamy and full of character, just like a grandma’s secret recipe. The staff were so patient and thoughtful with their introductions and flavor recommendations, which truly brightened my first day in Bologna. Can’t wait to come back for the June-only peach flavor! 🍑🍨✨

07/01/2026: I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant because the food is excellent, the staff is welcoming and very cheerful, and the dining room is beautifully decorated. But most importantly, it offers both meat-based and vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. I'd say it's a 10/10! PS: For anyone looking for a recommendation, the standouts are the FUFU and the SPICY BEEF PIRI PIRI. Thanks again to the staff, and see you next time.

07/05/2026: Very good. A restaurant offering vegetarian and vegan dishes. The food is very good. Not just for those who want to eat naturally, but for everyone, as the dishes are excellent and well-prepared. The quality/price ratio is also good, and they also accept meal vouchers. The restaurant is small, intimate, and furnished in a simple, comfortable style. The music is also soft, creating an even more relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.

07/05/2026: Delicious! I recommend the various hummus dishes, the vegan one-pot meal is incredible, and the caponata is superb. As is the vegan tart, everything is excellent. The place is always the same, very nice, and the staff is wonderful. The wine is also very good, organic and without added sulfites. I'll be back.

06/05/2026: We had lunch with friends and all ate daily specials prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Everything was homemade, including the cheeses and cured meats. The first courses were excellent and top-quality. The dessert was also fantastic, with mascarpone for the tiramisu made to order. Highly recommended.

15/04/2026: I've been to this restaurant three times since this evening, and I have to say it's always a wonderful discovery! It's one of those places that's a bit hidden, but as soon as you enter, you immediately realize you've made the right choice: the atmosphere is super unique, almost like taking a trip to Persia without leaving the city. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, explaining the dishes and how to best enjoy them, which I really appreciated. The food is the real surprise: unusual flavors, spicy yet balanced, all very authentic. You can really taste that the recipes are traditional and made with care. The meat dishes with saffron rice and the appetizers are highly recommended: generous portions and truly unique flavors. Overall, it's one of those restaurants where you don't just go to eat, but have a truly unique experience. I'll gladly return on my next visit to Bologna 🙂
