27/12/2025: The food is good. From the restaurant to the pizza. The prices are fair and the staff is friendly. I recommend the Locanda del Molino. Reservations are recommended, preferably for the first shift. 7:30 PM. The place is very quiet and peaceful at that time.

11/01/2026: A charming spot near Mount Amiata. A 3-star hotel with 5-star hospitality. The location is fantastic for enjoying the outdoor activities offered on Mount Amiata as well as visiting the various villages of the Val d'Orcia. The rooms are simple but very well maintained; nothing is lacking, and the space is very well utilized. The bathrooms are all new and of high quality (Grohe), and the showers have an enviable water flow. The breakfasts are very varied, with continental and Mediterranean options, and the homemade cakes and pastries are exquisite, something not easily found in hotels. The dinners are of very high quality, with varied and carefully prepared recipes using local ingredients, offering excellent value for money. The cuisine is 5-star, as is the helpfulness of the staff, who are always smiling, friendly, and ready to lend a hand. Another special mention goes to the impeccable cleanliness of the entire establishment. Highly recommended, a must-see for anyone in the area or looking to spend a few summer days away from the sweltering city heat. Congratulations!

09/03/2026: The food is good, and the staff is knowledgeable about both ingredients and wines. The place isn't accessible and feels a bit claustrophobic. Furthermore, the menu doesn't offer a wide variety of first or second courses. There's no Tuscan Chianina Florentine steak, only the Piedmontese one. Even the most traditional dishes are prepared with the addition of more modern ingredients and methods that distort the character of the dishes. Definitely not a typical osteria. Perhaps more of a tourist restaurant, with high prices. It's a shame. There aren't many other options in the area, so the choice perhaps seems a bit forced... I don't think I'll return.

14/03/2026: Not recommended! A rather dull "gran tagliere" (large cutting board) with a black olive pâté crostini that both smelled and tasted like vomit. We politely pointed out that we weren't finishing it because it had a strange odor, but they insisted that no one else had pointed this out. They even brought us another identical one, which, of course, was the same (we didn't eat it). This was followed by a completely tasteless tagliata (a sliced ​​steak). The cutlery was dirty, as was the restaurant. The price was decidedly high for the service.

27/01/2026: This is our second time eating here. Tonight we stopped for dinner, and I have to say that, besides everyone being very friendly, the place is very cute, and the food is excellent. Tonight, in addition to the obligatory charcuterie board, which is spectacular and a must-have, we wanted to try the pizza. We had the daily special, with fiordilatte, crispy bacon, leek cream, and caramelized onion, and the other with finocchiona and pecorino cheese, both truly excellent. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, the crispiness of the pizza. Highly recommended. They also do takeout, which is super convenient. So if you come to Rapolano, go eat here. The price is average.

26/10/2025: A romantic candlelit location with truly high-quality food. Super fair prices despite the quality of the food, location, and service. The Chianina steak tartare with truffle and the Florentine steak are exceptional! Go there with your eyes closed.

31/01/2026: Maybe it was just an unlucky batch, but our pizza was absolutely unsatisfactory, it was a pita and not a pizza: dense, dry and completely tasteless. The quality of the tomato and mozzarella was also low. The location is nice though.

10/01/2026: This place never disappoints, both in terms of cuisine and hospitality. The seafood dishes are expertly prepared, the food is good and delicious, and the wine selection is excellent. But what's most impressive is how each guest is treated individually, as if they were unique, thanks to the constant, yet never intrusive, presence of the hostess and the wait staff. Thanks to Chef Lello, who is excellent, and who carefully selected the waiter. I unfortunately don't remember his name, but I thank him for his attentiveness, professionalism, and kindness. 04/11/2025: The stay was fantastic, the place is beautiful, our rooms were an excellent size and very well equipped, all the staff were kind and attentive, the breakfast had a wide variety of options, all of very high quality. We had dinner at the LaTerrazza del Borgo restaurant, which was delicious, with a surprising menu and impeccable service. I highly recommend it.

15/03/2026: A real surprise! We were looking for something near the Valdichiana toll booth on the A1 highway. We ate probably the best peposo ever. The side dishes were real roast potatoes and beans with pork rinds. Everything was delicious. Even the desserts were top-notch, which is increasingly rare. The service was warm and friendly, and the bill was very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

The desserts are also very interesting, especially their take on tiramisu. For the residents of the Athena Hotel, it's really great. The rooftop is very nice, and the servers are super friendly! It has a magnificent view of the Montalcino valley; otherwise, the place has simple, very spartan decor, but its true value lies in being a meeting place for the locals, the real ones. The croissants are average, but that's something it shares with other bars in town. The pizza is very good. The service is courteous, and the quality/price ratio is good.
