20/08/2026: We ended up here while wandering through the streets of Siena and avoiding the tourist squares. We had lunch here; if you like tasty, generously filled sandwiches, this is the place to be. The waiter serves you in a super friendly manner and the prices are great.

With the help of your staff, we managed to understand each other and had a wonderful time. 25/12/2025: I visited a winery hotel in Italy for my honeymoon. I'd definitely return. They gave me a bottle of wine as a welcome drink. I thought it was cheap, but even I'm not a wine connoisseur, and it was so delicious I'm buying it again!

25/08/2026: Visiting Buonconvento near Siena on a European tour this summer and came across this little beauty. A wine bar and lunch spot in the centre of the village. Exceptional service , great atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommended and definitely one of the better eateries on the Main Street.

24/08/2026: First, we had a unique beer at their other location, just 1 minute away (also highly recommended!). We ate delicious Vitello tonnato and had a fantastic tiramisu for dessert. The service was relaxed, cheerful, and friendly (they even offered mosquito spray); they welcomed us and waved us goodbye. They also spoke good English, and it's a nice spot!

07/08/2026: Don't believe the negative reviews; almost all of them are written out of spite or to annoy. Almost none are truthful, except for a few, which are rightly constructive. A very nice place, friendly staff, good and well-prepared food, and fair value for money! It's a shame about the rudeness of some customers!

11/08/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant in San Gimigliano, and it was a truly disappointing experience. We couldn't finish our dishes because we were surrounded by too many insects, including a fly that was crawling across our plate and onto our food. We paid too much for the service. While dining in the garden is recommended to enjoy a beautiful view, thorough pest control is also essential to ensure that tourists don't spend a lot of time removing insects from their food.

02/08/2026: It didn't convince me to go back... I ordered the shrimp linguine, but there were only 4 small pieces of shrimp. The rest was linguine with oil and chili pepper, and it was quite expensive. We asked for ice to keep the wine cold, but they ran out, and we drank a swill. The outdoor setting was very nice and welcoming.

09/08/2026: A wonderful trattoria in the heart of Siena. Delicious traditional dishes in a very relaxed, local atmosphere. The picci with ragù was excellent. The homemade tiramisu was also good. A very family-friendly place. I'd definitely go back.

21/08/2026: The food is delicious, but as a group (6 people), we received a very unfriendly welcome. We felt completely unwelcome and got the impression they didn't even want to serve us. What a shame!

13/08/2026: The real Tuscany in the heart of San Gimignano ❤️🍷 During our stay in San Gimignano, we had the pleasure of dining at La Mangiatoia, and we can say it was one of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences of our trip. The restaurant is truly distinctive: warm, intimate, and atmospheric, perfectly nestled in the charm of San Gimignano's historic center. A setting that immediately immerses you in the spirit of Tuscany. But the best part comes at the table. The cuisine won us over with authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with great care. Everything we tasted was truly excellent, from the starters to the main courses, right down to the desserts. A cuisine that doesn't need any special effects: raw ingredients, tradition, and top-quality ingredients. This is precisely what we appreciated most. The service also deserves special mention: the staff are kind, helpful, and professional, but above all, they create a pleasant atmosphere that allows you to enjoy dinner without rushing and enjoying the pleasure of being at the table. La Mangiatoia is one of those restaurants that, upon leaving, makes you think, "We ate really well here." If you're passing through San Gimignano and looking for a place to savor authentic Tuscan cuisine in a characteristic and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a place to remember. We left completely satisfied and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

02/06/2026: A beautiful place where we can eat pizza, fish, and meat. It's suitable for all tastes. We dined on the terrace veranda, which is very welcoming. Fast and impeccable service, attentive and friendly staff. We had very good gluten-free pizzas, with a soft dough, including the crust. I personally prefer a thin pizza, but it's still good. Excellent gluten-free draft beer. The restaurant is located on the first floor but accessible to all with an elevator. Dogs are welcome, and there's plenty of parking. Congratulations! Next time I want to try the fish because the aroma was amazing.
