14/08/2024: Our agriturismo host had this restaurant on his list of recommendations. We ate there in April 2023. The town was super quiet, almost no one around except a teen and his grandmother. A sweet and efficient older man and his wife work here along with an outdoor cat. The food was very tasty and we had such a nice experience. I don’t think I would drive here from another town but it was very special. We had the whole restaurant, and the whole town, to ourselves. A very nice core memory for my teen son. Later that night we ordered some food for delivery, and lo and behold, it was the same nice man who delivered our order.

23/08/2024: we stayed overnight from 19th to 23rd August The location is excellent, you can easily reach many points of interest The hotel is very well kept, with great attention to detail and the staff is very friendly and helpful, they also made an effort to suggest lesser-known but very beautiful places to us. A special thank you to Sara who made us feel at home with her friendliness

22/08/2024: It's safe...a beautiful place to visit, a fantastic destination for both motorbikes and cyclists, very good and very nice owners The food is fabulous... greetings to Sara and our new father and chef Gianluca... go and try his Fiorentina with bacon... then you'll be able to tell me... 23/08/2024: Small family restaurant ideal for a dinner with an incredible view of Siena and the Tuscan hills. The food is excellent, the service pleasant and friendly. An authentic experience that we will repeat without hesitation if the opportunity presents itself to us and that we highly recommend. Thank you to the whole team for this lovely moment which marked our vacation in the region!

07/08/2024: Fabulous experience in a SHOP of times gone by, the wonderful smell that pervades the nostrils upon entering made me feel like a child again. The owner is a friendly person, in love and proud of his work and he conveyed his passion to us by concentrating it in a space sandwich (soppressata, pecorino and vegetables)! If I return to Siena I will stop by and try a platter paired with a good red.

17/07/2024: Very nice place recommended by the backpacker. Well hidden by a superb bougainvillea. We ate very well, excellent panini, prepared in front of us by the chef with good products and good wines. The chef works alone, he does everything. The atmosphere is great. Good address

13/08/2024: Historic house surrounded by greenery, very clean and well-kept hotel. excellent service, cozy rooms and a very comfortable bed. the breakfast was decent... perhaps a little below for a 5 star hotel. the dinner was excellent however. the thermal area and the spa were nice... but I can't give an opinion because it did too hot to use it. The cool pool area was spacious and nice and was the backdrop to our weekend of complete relaxation

15/06/2024: Completely relaxing stay. Compliments to the Chef who made us taste excellent dishes. Al Maitre, very attentive to all needs and an excellent advisor. The staff were all extremely kind. Two unforgettable days in an enchanting landscape.

03/06/2024: Wir waren mit dem Rucksack in der Toscana unterwegs und ohne Auto bei schlechtem Wetter in Bagno Vignoni gestrandet. Wir landeten zufällig in dieser super schönen Bar, wurden freundlich bedient, durften die Rucksäcke zum erkunden der Thermalquellen stehen lassen. Alle war gut gelaunt, schnell und bemüht. Einfach super 🤩 Wir kamen abends nochmal wieder, wurden herzlich empfangen, hatten tolle Gespräche und wurden vom einem Kellner unsere Weiterreise betreffend gerettet. Danke! Es war eine Freude bei euch allen Gast gewesen zu sein 🤗

01/07/2024: We visit the cafe every morning and often the evening . Lovely coffee and pastries and a very fair price . Trequanda would not be the same without it . A wonderful spot the while away the morning in the centre of an authentic village. Very obliging staff adds to the experience. Roger and Sara Mitchell

17/05/2024: We arrived on bicycles after a beautiful but challenging 40 mile ride with almost 4000 feet of elevation gain. Chelly and I stopped in for a beer and some Prosecco - this cute bar is the quintessential Italian meeting place- in the center of town and providing everything from early morning expresso to afternoon snacks to evening aperitif. It appears this is the locals favorite spot. We are staying 4 nights so I’m sure we will be frequenting this establishment regularly.

26/05/2024: Le paste del signor Barone non si discutono! Buonissime davvero! Mi dispiace per il personale addetto al bancone che si interscambia dalla cassa , toccando soldi sporchi, alla distribuzione delle paste prendendole con le mani per spostarle da un vassoio all'altro....mi fa pensare a poca accortezza per la pulizia. Per non parlare della scortesia che hanno nel rivolgersi al cliente . Siccome la produzione e è ottima consiglio di investire sul personale!

20/07/2024: Unique experience that combines a visit to the beautiful basilica sanctuary with a lunch at a facility managed by boys and girls gathered in a cooperative. Dedicated staff will explain the history of the place and the social projects that animate it. You will leave smiling

13/08/2024: We are on our way back home, sorry for not being able to extend our stay but also completely satisfied by the experience that the Spaltenna Castle can offer even in just a few days! The place is extraordinary: a careful recovery of the original structures makes use of a skilful integration of the new structures, perfectly incorporated into the nature of the area. We tried all the services offered and were amazed by the extreme attention to aesthetic and human detail, by the functionality with which every moment of the day is managed and by the discretion that can be maintained despite the crawl space of operators and activities! There is one nice thing that we cannot fail to underline: among all the castles and locations that we have been lucky enough to know, Spaltenna Castle is the king of amenities!!!!!!!! You could stay with an empty suitcase! The place sells itself, the management is evidently valid and consolidated, but the real strength is made up of the people: at the reception Vincenzo's eyes shine when he talks about his territory; Giorgio the mêtre of Pievano is the light and elegance of a restaurant that deserves a separate review; Elisabetta the sommelier is a beautiful woman who preserves the ancient secrets of her grandmothers in her professionalism; Lorenzo knows how to spell out the chef's talent with the right pauses and the emphasis of a touching passion for such a young boy; Augustin's delicate cocktails will make you want to hug this very sweet boy, Lara's determination in action is only the incipit for a beautiful chat with the backdrop of shooting stars and cicadas; and if you season everything with Gemma's cocktails??? Almost as extraordinary as her bright smile! Amed's kindness is precious, it shines through the eyes and perfectly packaged his professionalism; and then there is our favourite, little Chiara who, with her purity, is the mascot of a wonderful staff made up of many other people who we were not lucky enough to get to know better but who made our stay special. The infinity pool alone is worth the trip; breakfast on the terrace is super and always take at least one muffin, the internal room of the restaurant "La terrazza" is stupendous, the quality of the food is excellent and absolutely valid both the wine and the vin santo of own production, the Pievano on the other hand, he literally stole my heart!

21/07/2024: A pearl in a small village. There is the possibility of eating on the terrace or inside. We were well received there and we were able to chat with the cook who is a great chef and very friendly, as are his wife and regular bikers. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. The menu is short, which allows you to have dishes of great quality and gargantuan quantity. The papardelle with wild boar ragù, the Tagliata, the fried potatoes, the insalata mista and the Chianti chicken were crazy as well as the panna cotta with red fruits (blueberries). It really is a must-see address in the region. Thank you again for this delicious meal and the discussions we had.

15/07/2024: We had dinner two evenings in a row: amazing Florentine, tagliatelle, cockerel!!!! What can we say about the managers Sabatino and Jenny: very nice, kind and helpful. 13/08/2024: We went to eat, nice place. We ate well, I took the Poco all'aglione without knowing what it was and I was honestly expecting a more particular flavour, but I think it's precisely the dish that is so The pasta was a little overcooked They also have gluten-free pasta. The evening we went there was the village festival "cali di stelle" and the place was very crowded. There was clearly a lack of staff (maybe they don't have so many people) but the waiters were very good, courteous and quick despite the confusion. Congratulations to them!
