23/05/2026: This is definitely the best place to try local wines. Extremely knowledgeable staff and wines that blew our minds after trying the wines in many other places.

23/05/2026: I'd give 10 out of 5 if I could. We spent a week in Montepulciano and this place was a highlight of this week. Absolutely amazing service - knowing everything about wines they're serving and the region and guessing perfectly what would be my next favourite.

31/10/2025: The shop is small but stocked with tons of wonderful Sicilian desserts. They even make the 7 veli (literally, "seven veils"), which takes you to heaven. The cassata is delicious and has a well-balanced sugar content, never cloying. The cannoli are filled fresh, as is traditional, with pistachio or other flavors. They also have delicious arancini. And then there's more, like jars of sauce for pasta with sardines. It's small, but it takes you back to authentic Sicily. A lovely surprise in the city of Siena. And truly excellent products.

22/10/2025: I have been cannoli hunting and these are some of the best I’ve found so far! We won’t have time to go all the way to Sicily this trip, but we sure got a taste of it. The lady at the counter was so sweet and let me stumble through my attempt at ordering in Italian despite my awfully-English pronunciation. She gave them to me wrapped up so cute. I also got an arancina to try for the first time- great first impression!

16/02/2026: I wasn't familiar with this restaurant, and what a pleasant surprise! I had an appetizer that amazed me with its balanced flavors, and the risotto confirmed and further astonished me. The dessert to round it off was delicate and exquisite...what can I say? I'll be booking for a future dinner with work colleagues. I must emphasize the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff, especially Robert, who accompanied us from the beginning of this culinary adventure! Thank you!

17/12/2025: An enchanting place where you can experience relaxation, peace, beauty, and traditional flavors. My husband and I felt incredibly pampered by Mrs. Patrizia and Chef Francesco. The room was elegant, clean, warm, and comfortable. The dinner was delicious, not to mention the delicious breakfast. The owner was so kind and attentive! I highly recommend Villa Vetrichina because it's surrounded by nature and meticulously cared for down to the smallest details. We'll definitely be back soon!

12/11/2025: The cooking class we took at Villa Vetrichina was the absolute highlight of our European vacation. Patrizia was the consummate hostess supplying flexiblity, great directions, great communication as well as being just a wonderful person. Chef Francesco was awesome to work with. So full of energy and exuberance. He kept us in stitches all evening. Not to mention keeping us in mounds of food that fed four of us for three days afterwards. We learned so much and will take these lessons (and amplifying info sent via email with all the recipes) home with us to help us recreate this wonderful experience. So highly recommended.

24/06/2026: The exterior offers a beautiful view and a truly efficient air conditioning system in a truly beautiful setting. The extensive menu features strictly fresh seafood and the wine list is compact but significant, with fair markups. The service is attentive and never intrusive. The bill is fair for the high quality of the products offered. Remember to park in the large parking lot at the base of this small village, 200 meters from the restaurant. Compliments to the kitchen...you can tell they put love into what they do...well done!

19/06/2026: We had excellent raw seafood and tagliolini with bottarga. The tuna was also delicious. The warm piadina, prosecco, and appetizers were much appreciated. The ingredients were very fresh. It was a pleasant evening in the romantic village of Armaiolo. The staff were very friendly. There were a few small things to improve about the restaurant, but otherwise, everything was perfect!

27/08/2026: Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, delicious and full of flavour, with a real focus on quality ingredients. I especially appreciated the great vegetarian options - creative, generous and definitely not an afterthought. The homemade sourdough bread and focaccia were outstanding, and you can really taste the care that goes into everything. They use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, which makes the whole experience feel genuinely connected to Tuscany. And on top of that, the prices are incredibly fair for the quality and care you get. A lovely, authentic spot with great food, a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly people. Highly recommended if you’re in San Gimignano - definitely worth a visit!

06/07/2026: What a wonderful place! We celebrated the third day of our wedding here with around 60 guests, and it couldn't have been a more perfect ending to our wedding weekend. From the very beginning, the communication was easy, friendly and uncomplicated. The restaurant even opened exclusively for our group, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was fantastic. The pasta was absolutely delicious, the salad was served family-style in the middle of the tables, creating such a warm and authentic Italian atmosphere, and the tiramisu was simply outstanding. The setting is something truly special. Surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views that look like a postcard, it captures everything you imagine when dreaming of Tuscany. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and what we loved most was the relaxed atmosphere. Nothing felt rushed or overly formal—it truly felt like sitting around a table with a big Italian family, enjoying great food, good wine and wonderful company. If you're looking for authentic Italian hospitality and an unforgettable experience, this is the place. We will definitely be back. 🤍🇮🇹

11/08/2026: If you're in Siena, you can't miss it! We went to Fiaschetteria Il Pulcino after seeing them win at Foodish and... what a show! The pici with white ragù are incredible. It's the dish that won them the title, and you can see why: fresh pasta, tasty, and perfectly creamy ragù. It's truly the winning dish: simple, Tuscan, perfect. Small, cozy place, very kind staff. Definitely worth it! We'll definitely be back.

28/06/2026: Food was decent but service leaves much to be desired. This fly was in my coffee and ended up in my mouth (I almost chewed on it). The server just laughed it off and said it’s not her fault that the fly “committed suicide”. I didn’t have a lot of expectations for the service level in the countryside but that reaction was just shockingly unprofessional.

21/06/2026: The service and food taste leave MUCH to be desired. We ordered our dishes and wine, and one of the waitresses came to serve us sparkling wine without explaining that it was a welcome drink. The food is mediocre for Italian standards and leaves much to be desired in terms of flavor. To pay the bill, we had to get up to pay because the waitresses didn't pay any attention to our table at any point. It's not worth the investment.

12/06/2026: Fantastic service, very friendly staff. Our waitress was so kind and helpful, she recommended dishes and spoke very good English which helped. One of our party accidentally ordered the incorrect dish but the restaurant replaced it with a delicious alternative dish for no charge and without any issue. They did not have to do this as we made the mistake! We have been multiple times to this restaurant and ordered, pizza, and traditional Tuscan dishes which were all fantastic and for an affordable price. Particular highlights - limoncello spritz, tartufo Cacio e Pepe, pizzas with a thin crisp base and tiramisu. Thank you!

26/05/2026: We ate at this restaurant two evenings in a row. Since we arrived relatively early by Italian standards, we got a table for two without a reservation. The service was very friendly. However, you should allow plenty of time for the two-course meal (antipasti and main course). Everything takes quite a while, but you are rewarded with good food. The antipasti, in particular, was excellent. The pizza was a bit too dry for our taste.
