The real Tuscany in the heart of San Gimignano ❤️🍷 During our stay in San Gimignano, we had the pleasure of dining at La Mangiatoia, and we can say it was one of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences of our trip. The restaurant is truly distinctive: warm, intimate, and atmospheric, perfectly nestled in the charm of San Gimignano's historic center. A setting that immediately immerses you in the spirit of Tuscany. But the best part comes at the table. The cuisine won us over with authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with great care. Everything we tasted was truly excellent, from the starters to the main courses, right down to the desserts. A cuisine that doesn't need any special effects: raw ingredients, tradition, and top-quality ingredients. This is precisely what we appreciated most. The service also deserves special mention: the staff are kind, helpful, and professional, but above all, they create a pleasant atmosphere that allows you to enjoy dinner without rushing and enjoying the pleasure of being at the table. La Mangiatoia is one of those restaurants that, upon leaving, makes you think, "We ate really well here." If you're passing through San Gimignano and looking for a place to savor authentic Tuscan cuisine in a characteristic and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a place to remember. We left completely satisfied and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

It’s a tourist spot, so I guess it can’t be helped, but it’s definitely not a great restaurant like the ones mentioned in other reviews!!! I had the Truffle Carbonara and the Steak topped with Bacon. I originally planned to order the T-bone steak, but I gave up because the standard size is 1kg. The Truffle Carbonara was delicious! The truffle melted perfectly, and the pasta was unique and nice. However, they didn't use guanciale, and it seemed like they barely used any pepper. My companion said the eggs didn't blend well, so they could feel the texture of the eggs clumping together. The steak is just the kind you can get anywhere. I ordered it medium, and the doneness was just right. However, I think the outside should have been a bit more brown. I wondered why they put bacon on it, but the seasoning actually went well when eaten together. It wasn't crispy, though. It’s not an amazing restaurant, but considering I went to a tourist spot, I think I made a good choice. However, the profound orchestral music playing to match the city's atmosphere did make me feel a bit uneasy. Oh, right. They had canned iced tea, so I ordered it, but it tasted strange. I'm not drinking iced tea in Italy~~

Excellent Tuscan restaurant, the servers are very professional, the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. A wonderful experience, thank you to the whole team for this delightful meal.

Amazing carbonara and the house wine is excellent.

The food was good but short of great. A little more seasoning would have made it come to life. It was also unfortunate that the waiter forgot parts of our order. If you get to choose, the female waitress for the table next to us was much more welcoming, punctual, and thorough. The location has a nice atmosphere. Prices are acceptable. I would probably try another place before returning.

We had a super delicious meal; you can really taste that the pasta is homemade! The truffle tortelli was my favorite, and the wild boar pasta was also very good. The side dishes were tasty too. There is plenty of room inside, even for a larger group. I will be back next time!
