20/03/2026: It is so delicious...! I recommend the Pea Soup, which really brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients. The Chianina Fillet (steak) and Truffle Tagliolini are also fantastically delicious. The Tiramisu is unlike any Tiramisu I have ever tasted. To think they reinterpreted dessert like this, like fine dining... It is a work of art crafted simply! *Pompi Tiramisu in Rome < Korean Tiramisu <<<< La Bandita Tiramisu I am currently staying at La Bandita. The accommodation is very clean and nice (though the sink felt a bit clogged), but the restaurants are also excellent. I was planning to travel all over Tuscany by rental car, but I think I won't be able to leave Pienza... haha. Restaurants in Pienza are generally of a higher standard than in Rome. I don't know if it's the difference between tourist food businesses and local eateries, but unlike Rome, every restaurant and dessert place I go to is a success. Among them, La Bandita is the highlight👍 I said "Buono~ 👍" to the chef, and he happily gave me a high-five🙌 haha. I'll be back tomorrow :) Spring pea soup with lemon crème fraîche Handmade tagliolini with tartufo bianchetti Fillet of Chianina beef with millefoglie potatoes, baby vegetables, crispy bacon and red wine jus Nobile di Montepulciano '22/'23 Townhouse Tiramisù Facts to enjoy knowing before you eat 🙂> The reason Italian steaks are exceptionally red: 'Chianina' cattle 'Chianina' is one of the world's largest and oldest cattle breeds, characterized by low fat (marbling) and firm muscle mass. Because it has low fat content, there are fewer white areas when grilled, revealing the meat's natural bright red proteins. Although it may appear undercooked due to the low fat content, heat has often penetrated deep into the meat, making it actually more cooked than it looks. Additionally, Italian chefs' 'medium' is closer to the Korean standard of 'medium rare.' Since the meat is so thick (usually 4-5 cm), they prefer a cooking method where the outside is seared to lock in the juices while keeping the inside tender. — Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte. I ordered an omelet (cheese and onion) and it was delicious. — 2nd visit Beef Tartare: I didn't know ginger went this well with tartare! The chili tasted like gochujang, so it paired well. It was an antipasto (appetizer), but the portion was enormous—it felt like I could make two servings of tteokgalbi at home. Bandita Burger: They stacked it high, making it great for taking photos, and it tasted great too👍 It was delicious with the Pecorino cheese. * Pecorino Cheese: The milk of sheep (Pecora) raised on the grass and herbs of the 'Val d'Orcia' plains is infused with a distinctive fragrant flavor. Pecorino is made from this Pecorino milk. Tagliatelle: Fresh and good with basil pesto. Tartare of Chianina beef with sweet and sour wasabi, ginger, and chili. "Bandita Burger" with melted pecorino cheese, grilled bun, and mayonnaise, topped with crispy guanciale, fried egg, and french fries. Tagliatelle with basil pesto and Parmesan shavings. — 3rd visit Ossobuco Ravioli: Braised oxtail is inside the ravioli, and it is delicious. The foie gras is tasty and not fishy at all, though the portion isn't huge (it just looks small in comparison because the portions of other dishes are so large). Lamb: Despite the appearance that makes you look like you're going to grab the leg and tear into it, it is delicious with no gamey smell. Tiramisu: It was so good I ate it again lol. Chocolate + Miso: A sweet and salty revolution created from a combination that seems impossible..! We also had our two month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. We ordered the timballo rustico, pici ragù, and lamb with the side of the day (seasonal asparagus).

16/04/2026: We've been coming to Pienza for Easter for 20 years and always eat at Falco, and we've always had a wonderful time. We were very excited about the new management, and our expectations were more than exceeded. I've never had such a good scoglio before—super creamy, and the pici gave it that special Tuscan touch. The tagliata with mushrooms was also delicious. The tartare with the pecorino fonduta was a revelation. A very good wine recommendation rounded off the meal perfectly. The cheesecake with pistachio cream is absolutely fantastic. The waiters were very, very friendly, and even the chef came out briefly to say hello. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant for anyone who appreciates fantastic food.
14/04/2026: Wonderful dinner option in Pienza. We enjoyed a mix of appetizers, pastas and steak dishes. Service was great.

08/03/2026: Excellent osteria for sampling typical local products. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The grilled pecorino cheese is recommended, but everything else was delicious, too. Reservations are not accepted for lunch.
06/03/2026: We had lunch at this little osteria and it was a truly fantastic discovery. Almost all the products are locally sourced, incredibly fresh and delicious. The quality of the ingredients is simply undeniable! The service is second to none, and the location, in a small central square, is far from the hustle and bustle! I recommend anyone passing through to stop by this little spot. We'll definitely be back!

The cuisine is excellent, with dishes and ingredients that begin with tradition and then evolve. The wine selection is extensive, and Davide makes excellent recommendations. We had a wonderful evening tasting and drinking so many delicious things: thank you so much!

20/01/2026: Just outside the walls of the picturesque village of Pienza, near the parking lots—the ones with parking discs, that is—on the narrow road that slopes down from the village, toward Colombaiolo, lies this small trattoria. It's rustic in style but has a somewhat unassuming appearance, to use the Tuscan dialect term. It lacks personality and a sense of local identity. Its notable virtuous soul is a small fireplace in the center of the dining room. As is well known, a fire creates a convivial and pleasant atmosphere, especially on gray winter days! La Chiocciola is always very popular, especially with tourists, but there's no shortage of locals, too. This is my second visit! The food is honest, simple, and unpretentious. The ingredients used are certainly not top-notch, but that's fine. In short, traditional dishes, discreet service, and reasonable prices.

They told us they didn't take reservations on Sundays and to show up at 12:00 when they opened... So we did, we got there, and even though the restaurant was empty at that hour, they wouldn't let us in because... .listen to this... Because we had CHILDREN... THE SHAME IS NEVER ENDING... MAYBE THE OWNER IS ONE OF THOSE RESTAURATEURS WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT THE LITTLE WORK...CRAZY STUFF A Restaurateur...

17/04/2026: What an amazing experience. Welcoming owners in a cozy ambiance and the food was delicious. I suggest you share the charcuterie for one as it was enough for 4 people to enjoy with a lovely selection of pecorino cheeses and meats. I enjoyed my vegetable and bread soup and spinach.
13/04/2026: I stumbled upon this little osteria in the heart of Pienza. The owners were delightful and welcomed me warmly. The food was delicious and of the highest quality, and the service was top-notch! I'll be back soon :)
