Excellent experience. Well-prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and meticulous attention to detail. The real difference, however, is the welcome: rarely do you find management so attentive, helpful, and genuinely interested in making their guests feel comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed with warmth and professionalism, in a pleasant and well-kept environment. A place that combines good food and a rare level of personal attention. Highly recommended.

Excellent osteria, very good food. It has cozy outdoor tables. Inside, the modern decor contrasts with the historic building. It's worth making a relaxing stop away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.

Great experience at Osteria, very cosy and intimate. We have been welcomed in the best way from Michele and Ele. We deeply think is one of the best fish restaurants in town and also the selection of the wine list is very fine. Do not miss this place when in Siena

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Osteria di Castelvecchio in Siena. The ambiance is cozy, authentic, and typically Tuscan – you immediately feel welcome. The homemade pasta (pico) was delicious, if a little oily. The wine recommendation from the waitstaff was also excellent. However, the price-performance ratio is somewhat uneven. The friendly and attentive service, despite the restaurant being quite full, was particularly outstanding. If you're looking for authentic cuisine in Siena, this is the place to go. We recommend making a reservation.

The appetizers, including the dish with potatoes, poached eggs, and truffles, and the shrimp salad, were delicious. For the main courses, the sea bass, pumpkin risotto, and spinach pasta with a strong Gorgonzola flavor were also tasty. Overall, the seasoning was a bit strong, but I’ve gotten used to it, so it was delicious. There was a staff member who could speak a little Korean. They were friendly.

07/06/2026: A very pleasant setting in a garden where the scent of jasmine accompanies the meal. The staff is very attentive. Disappointed by the size of my dessert, I ordered a second one. Without me even asking, it was offered to me free of charge. It's a family business where customer service remains a priority.
07/06/2026: Had a wonderful group dinner (±16 people) at La Mandragola in early May. Menu was pre-set by our hosts and allowed discovering pastas and Bistecca alla Fiorentina, paired with good wines! Service was excellent for such a large group, food came for everyone at same time, and everything was great. We did not leave hungry. We sat inside due to cool weather, but there is a nice outside patio that must be very nice in summer. I would return for sure, either as a group or just as a couple for a romatic evening under the stars. Hidden gem in San Gimignano!

For dessert, we tried the restaurant’s signature sweet, “Signature of Siena,” which was a memorable way to end the meal and a must-try for anyone visiting. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was warm and authentic, making us feel immersed in the charm of Siena. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout the evening, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A perfect combination of excellent food, great service, and a lovely ambiance. We would gladly return on our next visit to Siena. Recommended dishes: Tagliata & Signature of Siena dessert.
