02/06/2025: One of the few that doesn't close the kitchen early in Pienza and nearby towns. Excellent location with parking in front of the restaurant. Fair and honest prices. The owner is very helpful and professional. Recommended

29/05/2025: You eat very well, I recommend the place to motorcyclists, it also has an outdoor space surrounded by various plants that keep you cool when you eat, ideal for summer breaks and not. Free parking in front of the place. We will be back ✌🏼

28/05/2025: The food was very good, the waitress was super friendly. She didn't speak English, but she tried very hard, and we were able to communicate with her. However, we had to wait FOREVER for the pizzas. Everyone around us had already had their food and arrived in the restaurant after us. I had to eat the pasta by myself because the pizzas were served much too late, which was a shame.

11/05/2025: I only used the restaurant and I must say that I was fully satisfied with the quality of the food and the service staff. An improvement in the quality of lighting is desirable.

22/12/2024: I had been there a few years ago and I liked it. I went back a few days ago and everything was confirmed, even better. Very good and plentiful dishes, impeccable service and honest bill. The fried food is truly excellent, very good mixed starter, excellent and homemade walnut gnocchi. Very good and equally plentiful desserts. Furthermore, what should not be underestimated is the environment and the context: quiet and friendly where you feel good and eat with pleasure. Restaurant to recommend and to return often.

11/05/2025: Creo que este lugar era el único restaurante abierto el domingo a las 11 am, tal vez antes. La web dice abierto a las 6 am. Los otros restaurantes de la ciudad dijeron que estaban abiertos en Google, pero no lo estaban. Orden de los bocadillos mostrados. Usualmente justo, barato, chica de mostrador hablaba bastante buen inglés y era amable y paciente. Comer dentro y fuera. Lo recomendaría.

07/06/2025: Trattoria toscana straordinaria entrata ormai nella storia delle trattorie toscane. Più di 60 anni di attività grazie al signor Moreno e alla moglie cuoca di incredibile bravura. Ora il locale è gestito dalla figliola, Emanuela, e dal marito, con la mamma sempre in cucina. Porzioni super abbondanti servite ancora nei vassoi e non nei piatti e già questa è una grande particolarità. Qualità del cibo fuori dal comune. Consigliamo i tagliolini all'ortica unici e naturalmente i pici , ma è tutto buonissimo. Da ritornarci sicuramente

10/05/2025: La location si presenta calda e accogliente. Peccato per un odore sgradevole di fogna all'ingresso, probabilmente dovuto a una situazione momentanea. Il personale è preparato, gentile, professionale e attento. Il servizio è ben organizzato, con una buona descrizione e presentazione dei piatti, curate e coinvolgenti. È però mancata la descrizione del vino, probabilmente per una semplice dimenticanza. Il menù è ben studiato, con una prevalenza di piatti di carne ma anche alcune proposte di pesce. Manca però attenzione verso le esigenze di vegetariani e vegani. Bella la carta dei vini con diverse proposte. La qualità dei piatti è buona: lo spaghetto era ben pensato ed equilibrato, anche se nel mio caso un po' d’olio in eccesso; il polpo leggermente duro e gommoso, buono il complesso; perfetto invece la mousse di ricotta, un dolce tra i più buoni provati, equilibrato e ben realizzato. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è corretto per il tipo di proposta.

06/05/2025: Very disappointing. We had spontaneously reserved a dinner and received a very quick response, which made us very happy. Unfortunately, we accidentally chose the wrong restaurant as there was another Il Fratoio at our holiday resort. A waiter from our restaurant explained the situation to them over the phone and we also apologized via email. Unfortunately we have never received a reply since then, but the EUR 150 fee was charged. Of course it's your own fault and you'll be informed of it when booking, but I would have hoped and given such good reviews of the restaurant that they would be a little more accommodating or at least respond to my email. When I visited Tuscany, I would have liked to put this restaurant on my next wish list, but that's been crossed out. I find something like that a bit thin.

02/06/2025: Sono stata a cena con il mio fidanzato, ci andava di provare un posto nuovo e grazie alle recensioni e alle foto del locale che rispecchiano totalmente la realtà abbiamo scelto loro. Abbiamo trovato una location incantevole, grotte scavate nel tufo, posto accogliente e personale attentissimo ed educato. Cibo di ottima qualità, piatti belli all’occhio e buoni al gusto. Consigliatissimo, ci tornerò presto sicuramente!!

21/05/2025: If all you serve are pizzas, you better make great pizzas….We liked their pizzas so much we went twice during our 4 days stay in Poggibonsi. Friendly service as well and good parking. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.

21/05/2025: Hemos decidido cenar en este restaurante porque habíamos comido pizza los últimos días y queríamos algo más. No nos ha decepcionado: el antipasti, el risotto y la pasta estaban muy buenos. Además, nos han ofrecido un excelente bouche de diversión para empezar y un limonchello al final. Perfecto. No hay comparación real con los otros 2 restaurantes que probamos en el lugar. Y el servicio era bastante bueno con una vista increíble sobre la plaza.

02/05/2025: We had a wonderful 3 night/4 day stay. The location is incredible- very scenic, quiet yet close enough to Siena to easily walk or drive into town. We did the cooking lesson and the wine tasting (not at the same time although we drank plenty of wine during the cooking lesson…). Both were exceptional. The staff was awesome. Highly recommend - especially if you enjoy wine and beautiful views.

25/04/2025: Our stay was amazing, couldn’t be more beautiful. The place is gorgeous , peaceful, and includes amenities for all the family. Bernardo in the front office, was very welcoming and friendly. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was also really good and convenient. The rooms very spacious, cleaned and had beautiful views. We would definitely come back.

11/03/2025: Ogni volta che vado a Montepulciano vado o a pranzo o a cena si mangia da Dio e poi per chi è amante delle birre c'è un assortimento per tutti i gusti top conviene prenotare per tempo e sempre, non è molto grande ed è sempre pieno

02/03/2025: Already famous for an amazing selection of craft beers, the other pleasure at Bottega Matta is Mamma in the kitchen making the truly traditional dishes of the zone. Silvio is the maestro of beers and has won me over with different tastes every time (and I go often!). Don't miss this treasure, just 5 minutes from Montepulciano.
