09/05/2026: Saturday, May 9, 2020, a slightly breezy day with a weak sun, sitting on the terrace adjacent to the Tuscan trattoria we enjoyed some delicious food, a platter of cold cuts and cheeses that seemed to come from the cellar of a farmhouse surrounded by the Tuscan hills, the pappardelle with wild boar and the pici seemed to be made by a grandmother making her grandchildren happy, we were unable to order other courses due to the excellent portions, highly recommended, we will definitely return, from Rome, just to be able to eat again in this fantastic trattoria, 10 out of 10

30/04/2026: We came across Il Due Cippi online and saw that it is considered one of the best steak houses in Italy, so we decided to visit. Since we didn’t know in advance that reservations were practically mandatory, we still decided to try our luck, joined the waiting list, and waited to be contacted. If this is their system, it would at least be fair to clearly inform guests when there is no availability for the same day, instead of making them waste time waiting. Despite this, we still wanted to give the restaurant a chance, but we were very disappointed by the reception and the way communication was handled. There was already a couple outside with a confirmed reservation, and I politely asked whether there might be a free table available. The answer was an immediate “no,” delivered in a rather mocking tone. I also had the feeling that we were judged instantly because we arrived with a child — as if we would certainly disturb the other guests and probably would not spend as much money as others, also based on the way we were dressed. I would like to point out that we regularly dine at high-end restaurants, including Michelin-starred restaurants with two or even three stars, which is why this kind of labeling and attitude really bothers me. When I asked whether something might become available later in the evening, I again received a cold “no,” after which the gentleman essentially cut me off and immediately walked over to the couple waiting outside, greeting them warmly with a handshake. I believe the steaks are excellent and the prices are very fair for the quality. However, a restaurant that aims to represent fine dining and Michelin-level standards should also show some culture, respect, and basic manners toward all guests.

We ate at a table facing a wide selection of (we assume) collectible wines, displayed to frame a simple yet refined setting. We ordered two appetizers (sfocato with confit tomatoes, anchovies, and burrata, a potato and onion millefeuille with a delicious Greek sauce accompanied by the ever-present San Daniele prosciutto), two first courses (maltagliati with wild boar ragù and beetroot gnocchi with venison ragù) accompanied by two glasses of Valpolicella red wine, highly recommended by the very knowledgeable staff (the wine cellar is amazing). The waiters are very friendly and attentive to your needs and requests, and the staff gets a thumbs up. As for the quantity, I must say that it's artisanal cuisine that combines traditional local flavors with top-quality, non-native ingredients (the portions aren't gourmet-style). The price is slightly above average, but you know, quality comes at a price. The restaurant gets a full thumbs up.

08/06/2026: A fantastic restaurant with attentive service from the parents; the son is in the kitchen and manages to reinterpret classic dishes with a slightly modern twist. The concept extends from appetizers to desserts, all accompanied by a small but refined wine list! A true jewel in the crown of the area.

28/05/2026: Without exaggeration, this was one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives. The food was outstanding, and the value for money was unbeatable. Christina was incredibly attentive and so lovely ❤️ I wish we could come here more often!

07/05/2026: A wonderful experience at Silene restaurant, a well-deserved Michelin star. Roberto's dishes are all original and deliciously paired. All the vegetables come from his own garden, the bread is homemade, strictly with sourdough starter, as is the extra virgin olive oil. And when do you get another chance to eat fresh pasta, so excellent, with duck eggs? And seeing the chef constantly present at every table, often acting as waiter, personally serving guests, as well as explaining and describing the dishes, is not something everyone can do. I've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, not just in Italy, and 90% of them were "sterile" service, meaning there was no empathy whatsoever between the dining room and the guests. However, here at Silene, Roberto (who shares the chef's name) and Leo, in addition to being very professional, engaged in a few pleasantries (mine was a table of eight) and even shared a few smiles, which I appreciated. The only downside, if I really had to look for one, is the road to get there, which is winding and full of curves. But that's not their fault, and in the end, it was worth taking that road. Well done 👌👍🙌

21/04/2026: A pleasant experience, with excellent food and a friendly, attentive welcome. The seven-course tasting menu was excellent, although some dishes were a bit repetitive. Prices were quite high, especially for the wine.

25/05/2026: A beautiful and very well-maintained property! The rooms are tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and cleaned daily! The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and the restaurant also impresses with the outstanding quality of its food! We lacked absolutely nothing, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Villa Preselle! The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful! Everything was simply fantastic! Grazie Mille

24/05/2026: A place nestled among vineyards and olive groves, where time seems to stand still… with only the birdsong to break the silence. The staff are very friendly and offer excellent advice on places to visit.

04/05/2026: A restaurant right in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia. The center itself is charming, and the restaurant is equally charming, very well-maintained with stone walls. The staff are incredibly friendly! They were fully booked, and they were disappointed to find us a table. We left, and I believe the owner, Thomas, saw us from afar and said he'd managed to find us a spot, so we returned for dinner. They were truly super kind. Fast service, clean restaurant, and good food.

03/05/2026: Compliments to the entire place!! The waitress and wait staff were superb! Perhaps the best table service I've ever experienced in terms of kindness and helpfulness. My two-year-old was treated like a prince, with smiles and games, and the staff attentive to his every need. The food was all truly excellent! I didn't have time to take photos of my full plate because everything was so good 🤣 A very beautiful and distinctive place for its location and setting. We'll definitely be back!!

16/05/2026: WOW! Found by chance during a trip to Tuscany (we're from Bologna). Completely vegan menu, with the option of a three-course meal for €15, including water and service charge. Delicious desserts! The location is truly beautiful, very quiet and green. We'll gladly return ❤️
