05/01/2026: A truly pleasant dining experience! Excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The place was very welcoming, and the food was excellent, from appetizer to dessert, with balanced flavors that were never overwhelming. I'm not a wine expert, so I left the selection to the waitress, but I have to say the fruity red was delicious! The quality/price ratio was absolutely right. I highly recommend this experience. Thanks to all the staff.

05/01/2026: The restaurant is divided into rooms with different styles, all very warm and welcoming. The staff is truly friendly and knowledgeable. They are always courteous and attentive, while respecting the customer's space. The food is excellent, with meticulous attention to detail that makes every dish special. I tried a superb raw ham and meat tartare, and a first course of ricotta and spinach-filled ravioli with ragù, which were truly delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the fresh pasta with the delicate filling was exquisite. The desserts were also wonderful and unique. In short, if there had been 10 stars, I would have given them for everything, from the food to the very kind staff. Congratulations on your professionalism and dedication.

04/01/2026: A great discovery. Confirms the positive reviews. We went last night, Saturday, January 3rd. My partner, I, and our 6-month-old baby. A welcoming and familiar place, like being at home, thanks in part to the friendliness of the owners. Excellent cuisine made with authentic, local ingredients. From appetizers to dessert. Regular prices, and a wide selection of seafood and meat dishes. Free parking is available in a location slightly outside the center of Porto Santo Stefano (about a kilometer away), but very convenient and easy to reach. We'll be back at the first opportunity! 18/01/2026: We journeyed two hours from Assisi to reach this hidden gem, and the experience was worth every kilometer. Pitgliano, the town itself, is an absolute spell rising from the rock. And the food here? Pure art on a plate. The kitchen at Trattoria Il Grillo treats food as storytelling. The Cinta Senese, a traditional Tuscan specialty, prepared in a pistachio crust with fig sauce and caramelized spring onions, was an unexpected symphony of texture and taste, both rustic and refined. The tortelli with ricotta and spinach in meat sauce was a masterclass in comfort. And then there was another pasta, its name escapes me, with crispy cabbage, the kind of dish that makes you slow down to savor every bite. Even the house wine was a delight and perfectly matched to the meal. Just for having a meal here, it’s worth the drive. We’ll certainly be back to explore more of the menu.

02/11/2025: Reservation made on the way to the Saturnia thermal baths. Hotel: spotless room, warm welcome, good continental breakfast. Restaurant: despite a full dining room, our hosts kindly found a table for us. Short but well-thought-out menu; I had the wild boar, strong in flavor but tender, with a portion perfectly suited to my appetite. A great place with excellent value for money and genuine hospitality.

01/01/2026: A restaurant that successfully combines authenticity, quality, and a truly family-friendly atmosphere, the likes of which are increasingly rare today. The menu is a tribute to true Maremma cuisine: flavorful, well-crafted dishes, without unnecessary modern constraints. The homemade first courses are excellent, from Maremma tortelli to pici with game ragù, always rich and flavorful. The meat-based second courses, especially the wild boar, are cooked to perfection and reflect the region in every bite. The side dishes and desserts are also excellent, simple but made to perfection. The real added value, however, is the welcome: family-run, the service is friendly, genuine, and never rushed. You feel like a guest, not a customer. The quality-price ratio is absolutely right, especially considering the portions and the quality of the ingredients. A sincere, no-frills restaurant that keeps tradition alive and makes you want to return. Highly recommended for those seeking the authentic Maremma, both in the food and in the atmosphere.

26/12/2025: I do not recommend this restaurant. The staff is rude (I was told that the waitress might not be well, so if she's not well she treats the customers badly, which is an absurd excuse). They're not equipped for children (they don't have a changing table, I had to change her diaper there while we ate), and the high chair was broken, I had to hold her. The food isn't bad, but the desserts aren't their strong point. The Christmas lunch menu cost €65, which was fine, but they wanted to charge a little girl who only ate a plate of clams €65. I understand that it's the Christmas menu, but humanely charging €65 to a little girl who didn't eat anything seems excessive. We reported it, and luckily they charged less, but the owner there treated us rudely, telling us we should be ashamed. In short, terrible service. I'd like them to think about one thing: there were 16 of us and we all complained. Maybe if I were them, I'd ask myself a few questions. Learn to work with customers because they're the ones who bring you money. A word of advice!

01/11/2025: Last night we finally sampled the atmosphere of this lovely osteria. Caterina is truly a fairy, and with her "magic wand," she prepares dishes so authentic they'll enchant you. Four delicious appetizers, a fantastic first course (lasagna, pici, and freshly made ravioli), and traditional second courses. For me, a vegetarian, she prepared leek omelettes and beans all'uccelletto. The desserts are delicious for those who prefer moka pot coffee. All slow food, just the way we like it. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

05/01/2026: We went there for Sunday lunch. We arrived around 3 PM without a reservation, but they seated us anyway. Prices are a bit high, but worth it! The dishes and the quality of the ingredients were excellent. I gave the service a 4, only because when we were there, there was a birthday party with many guests, so the focus was mostly on the outside. However, the staff is very attentive and welcoming.

14/12/2025: An extremely refined restaurant, both in its dishes and in its customer service. I can attest to this, as they had to display great elegance following a small cooking issue. Everything is impeccable, from appetizers to dessert, and the wine list is also excellent, with a wide variety of terroirs. A special mention goes to the warm welcome and friendly service. I'll be back with my eyes closed.

01/12/2025: Perfect dinner at this seaside restaurant! I was here on a Saturday evening in late November, and even in winter, the place is beautiful...a welcoming and meticulously maintained location. In addition to the quality of the food, the truly attentive service is noteworthy. Each course is explained perfectly, and all the waiters are extremely friendly. The fish is excellent, from the appetizers to the main courses and side dishes! I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, which are much lower than other restaurants in the area, despite the ingredients being incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked. I will definitely be back!

05/12/2025: My partner and I were passing through Grosseto and discovered this restaurant by chance. The place is small but cozy, warm, and very quaint. The owner is very kind, empathetic, and attentive to his customers. The menu is lovely, well-stocked, with several Maremma specialties. The food is truly excellent. Highly recommended!

03/01/2026: A quaint restaurant within the town walls. Fast and courteous service. Excellent food, from pappardelle with wild boar to fried lamb! Lemon sorbet and liqueur are on the house. Fair prices. Highly recommended! Reservations are required!

31/12/2025: When you enter Nicoletta's restaurant, everything seems to smile at you and you're completely enveloped in a splendid light. This magic begins outside, as soon as you see it on the street and when you pull into the parking lot. The air changes, everything is perfect. That view I love to gaze at under the portico and that every time makes me think I never want to leave. Then you walk in, and she and the others welcome you with kindness and warmth and lead you into the dining room. Full of sun, color, voices, and that delicious aroma that immediately whets your appetite. Her beautiful paintings hanging on the wall create a dance of infinite shades all around. And the flowers, always fresh flowers in vases on every table. Fresh flowers are not easy to find in a restaurant these days. But at hers, you can, and they are always beautiful, simple, with a delicate elegance, just like her. The food is authentic and carefully prepared with healthy ingredients. And her desserts...they are the desserts of happiness. Every bite makes you happy, makes you smile, takes you back to being a child. I have never found desserts of such deliciousness in any other pastry shop. And she makes them all herself, they're magical desserts, I'm sure of it. Everything about that restaurant is magical because once you enter and sit at one of those tables, you want to come back again and again to feel pampered, to be happy while doing the simplest and most instinctive thing in the world: eating, or rather, nourishing yourself.

04/01/2026: Years ago, I discovered this restaurant, which now has a new location with spacious and elegant spaces. It always stands out for its refined and original dishes. Seafood Bavarian cream, medallions, pasta with sea urchins, scallops on leaf-shaped pastry. Delicious, award-winning desserts, an excellent wine list, and the use of traditional, high-quality products in the dishes. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in the Argentario. The owners are kind and knowledgeable, and always available to satisfy their guests.
