06/12/2025: We had a lot of fun, our 6-7 year old child BOB ate very well and is very happy. I recommend this place because the food is good. There is also a waiter who does a glass show and he even risked breaking one on our child's head... we recommend it.

11/10/2025: Excellent pub in the center of Orbetello, with excellent cured meats. Excellent wine and beer, and not at all greasy fried pizza (ciaccino). Fast service. Highly recommended.

30/12/2025: I've been coming here for four years and I give 5 stars to the waiters, 5 stars to the place (which I think is one of the nicest there is), 5 stars to the owner, who I've always had a great experience with. It's a shame I can only give 5 stars and not more. The best restaurant I've ever eaten at, both for the gluten-free option and the classic option. Everything is fresh and excellent.

18/11/2025: It's a bit of a climb to get there, but the interior is beautiful. The staff is friendly, the food is good. We ate fish, and the price was fair.

31/12/2025: We were welcomed on the fly at 2:30 PM on New Year's Eve and treated like family. We sampled a superb sauté of mussels and clams and truly remarkable fried shrimp, followed by two fried fish and calamari dishes, so delicious and light they seemed to be fried in a cloud. The house wine was very good even without a label, and the homemade desserts were a fitting end to a lunch that proved to be a real end-of-year surprise. Our compliments and a Happy New Year to the owner and staff, who were kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. The price was incredibly moderate for the quality and courtesy. We'll definitely be back.

12/12/2025: The only flaw...not a small one for me...they took away the cutlery from my plate at the end of the appetizer and left it on the table for me to continue my culinary journey towards a splendid second course. A shame, a few more cutlery changes would have been enough! The food was okay, as was the service and the prompt wine list.

18/10/2025: If you have the chance, I would definitely eat here! I ate here tonight with my boyfriend, and it was truly exceptional. The staff are very friendly, and the food and cocktails are delicious. The waiter gave us some great recommendations, and we ended up ordering the tuna tataki and the tagliata; both were delicious. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

21/10/2025: The place is really beautiful. The food prices are not expensive, but the service is poor. We waited almost 20 minutes for the waiter, and the same happened when we asked for the bill. The waiting time for the food was the longest in the region. I ordered Peposo a typical Tuscan dish, but it had too much black pepper. The mashed potatoes were not consistent. I don’t recommend.

11/01/2026: A simply wonderful experience at Hotel Macinaie and Chalet Vecchio Rifugio. From the management to the welcome, everything was impeccable: we were welcomed with open arms, including our inseparable four-legged friend Apollo, who was treated like family here 🐾. We stayed in the splendid Chalet Vecchio Rifugio, in the large "La Fagetta" suite, where a roaring fireplace greeted us, creating a warm, intimate, and truly special atmosphere. In the morning, we woke to 30 cm of fresh snow, a sight that made the landscape even more magical ❄️. In the evening, we enjoyed a candlelit dinner, with excellent and delicious dishes, prepared with care and passion, all accompanied by an excellent local wine. A relaxing, authentic, and romantic stay, made even more beautiful by the company of our beloved Apollo. A place that will remain in our hearts and where we will return more often. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The second time, I must admit, was particularly nice — we didn’t get the name of the waiter but we know he was from Moldavia and he was particularly nice and accommodating!
