30/06/2026: My husband and I are at Due Cippi dal 1976 in Saturnia. A tall, bearded young man in a black shirt — Lorenzo, the Meat Master and co-owner— approaches our table carrying a heavy rustic wooden board. On it rests an absolutely magnificent raw Chianina steak. He places it gently in front of us with a proud smile and gestures toward the meat with an open hand. I lean in for a closer look. The steak is over 2 pounds and thick-cut, easily three fingers high. Its color is a deep, vibrant cherry red with beautiful, intricate marbling of white fat running through the muscle. A thick, creamy-white fat cap runs along one edge, promising incredible flavor once it renders over the oak fire. The meat looks incredibly fresh, dry-aged to perfection, and full of promise. Lorenzo stands there patiently, letting me inspect every detail before it heads to the historic “due cippi” fireplaces. This personal presentation makes me feel completely involved in the experience — it’s not just a steak, it’s a conversation between the kitchen and the guest. We nod with a big smile, giving our enthusiastic approval. In a few minutes, this beautiful Chianina will be transformed into one of the best steaks of my life. The anticipation is wonderful.

06/06/2026: We chose La Finlanda to celebrate my partner's birthday, and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the first phone call to the last goodbye, we felt pampered and welcomed in a way that rarely happens. The owner and the entire staff were simply extraordinary: thoughtful, attentive, and available at all times. You can clearly sense the passion and care they put into their work, and that makes all the difference. They made the evening truly special, with a kindness and professionalism that far exceeded expectations. The venue is beautiful, with attention to every detail, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. A perfect setting for a festive evening. And then, the food. Every dish was a true experience: authentic flavors, top-quality ingredients, Tuscan cuisine that respects tradition without sacrificing finesse. Everything was excellent, from the first bite to the last. We'll definitely be back!

08/07/2026: A unique pizzeria in Manciano, in the Tuscan Maremma. It's not exactly easy to find—the entrance is behind a gas station—but it's worth the search. I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore these beautiful Tuscan villages, or to anyone visiting the Saturnia spa and wanting to refuel after a relaxing day with an excellent pizza. They won the Pizza Olympics for two years. I recommend reading the entire menu, and I recommend the pizzas: Briaca, Barnum, and the one with wild asparagus. Good prices.

24/06/2026: The pizzas were good, but be aware there's a €2 cover charge per person for eating in, which isn't displayed anywhere and wasn't mentioned by the restaurant staff. The pizzas aren't cut (probably done on purpose to use up the cutlery and then unknowingly pay). French and foreign friends, always ask about any charges before ordering, as no one will tell you beforehand, and this is true in almost all of Italy.

02/06/2026: What can I say? The first night we were there truly left us with wonderful memories, especially the delicious Chianina Florentine steak. Before heading home, we decided to have another Florentine dinner. Unfortunately, the meat was tough to the knife, especially when biting. We pointed this out to the waitress, who was even more upset than the owners, who literally ignored it when it came time to pay. Considering the price of that particular dish, perhaps we could have been a little more careful in selecting suppliers, and above all, more accommodating to the customer, who, I'm not sure, will be encouraged to return after experiences like this.

11/07/2026: Located at the entrance to Manciano, coming up from the Campigliola. From the outside, it looks like an old-fashioned hotel, but upon entering the restaurant, an air of sober yet luxurious aura is palpable. The outdoor veranda is a lovely spot for dining on summer evenings. The host, although still very young, is capable and well-organized. Like a true Tuscan, he's always very direct, calling a spade a spade and serving wine (preferably red! 😂). Very fair prices, highly recommended.

29/06/2026: A basic but clean hotel. Of course, when you spend €126 for two nights in Tuscany at the end of June, you can't expect luxury... but the air conditioning works, the bathroom is clean, and the bed is comfortable.

20/06/2026: Fun experience! Good food and lots of food! We had a 13 year old and a 10 year old with us. The youngest was a little hesitant with the flavors but the rest of us enjoyed it! Both the company of the dogs who were incredibly cute and also the service and the food. The dessert was heavenly! Cool idea that the first ones to book a table for the evening get to decide the menu. Very cute and friendly, cozy back in all simplicity which I love!

17/05/2026: Exceptional! At Giardino Agriristoro, you'll find exactly what you expect. High-quality home cooking, locally sourced produce, and the owners' warm hospitality. We felt right at home and enjoyed the dishes, which despite their simplicity, boast unique flavors. A wonderful discovery!

25/06/2026: Two years ago, this restaurant had pleasantly surprised me, and while passing through Saturnia, I decided to try it again. The first sign that something had changed came on the stairs: four tasting menus, nothing à la carte. I was the only one dining on Saturday night; two other couples arrived shortly afterward, but they didn't appreciate the offerings. Having not thought of a plan B, I decided to take a risk and chose the fine meats menu. Everything was good, but I would never have chosen the pigeon, which unfortunately wasn't substitutable. The pappardelle with ragù was very good, but the tiramisu (also mandatory) was less so, as it was too greasy. So, I ate quite well, not what I wanted, but I'm not sure if the tasting menu will be a winning choice. Perhaps the change in offerings should have been highlighted on the website.

04/04/2026: Excellent location, rather homey from the outside, but inside it reveals a luxurious and romantic setting. Typical Tuscan cuisine, excellent pappardelle with wild boar and sausage. Very professional and fast table service.
