31/10/2025: We arrived very late, almost at the kitchen closing time, but Leonardo was kind enough to make us two fried fish dishes on the fly. A supersonic fried dish! Shrimp, vegetables, calamari, and fish! We ate here for two days: the first day, spaghetti with clams, delicious and well-made; the second, spaghetti with seafood, even better, truly flavorful. The pastiera was fantastic, not to be missed. The owner is very friendly, and the atmosphere is genuine and authentic. A simple place where you eat well and have a great time. Recommended!

10/05/2026: A discovery that turns into a return We stumbled upon Trattoria Dai Frati almost by accident, and left confident we'd return. Which we did, duly, two days later. The writing on the wall says it all: "If you want to eat meat, you have to come back to Dai Frati!"—and they're absolutely right. The artisanal pici with radicchio and walnut pesto were a hug on a plate, the "cappello del carbonaio" (ravioli filled with carbonara) was a true delight, and the Florentine steak served on a wooden cutting board was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth, with a quality of meat that's hard to find. The mixed grill—sausage, ribs, chicken, pancetta, and beef—was generous and flavorful, as befits a true Tuscan trattoria. The desserts rounded out the experience masterfully: the Madagascar vanilla ice cream with ginger syrup and the sour cherry cheesecake deserve an A+. Not to mention the wine, which is also excellent, the house winemaker recommends pairing with every dish. But what makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. The place is warm, with attention to detail, authentic rustic decor, and background music that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is kind and attentive, and the owner is simply superb: present, thoughtful, and able to make every guest feel at home. If you're in Porto Santo Stefano and love authentic Tuscan cuisine, look no further. You'll definitely be back.

02/05/2026: A top-notch gastronomic experience in a seemingly rustic yet highly refined setting. The menu, based on tradition and quality, mostly locally sourced ingredients, including much of the restaurant's own produce, was absolutely to my liking. The owner is exceptionally professional and courteous, and the prices are very fair considering the variety and quality of the dishes served. The only downside is that it's two hours from my home!

30/04/2026: Seafood restaurant with a beautiful view of the Porto Santo Stefano harbor. Simple yet delicious dishes, cleverly combining seafood and local produce. Delicious first courses, and generously sized and tasty second courses. The desserts could be improved. Reasonable prices, especially considering the location. Outdoor summer terrace. Parking is difficult to find.

04/05/2026: We ordered two first courses and a fried dish. The manager (I assume it was him), among other things, made sure to point out that the portions of the first courses would be very generous, so much so that I was almost tempted to cancel the fried dish order. When the fateful dishes arrived... 80 grams of pasta, to be generous? Good, of course, but honestly, I felt a bit mocked... While this is now the sad reality of paltry portions, at least at other places no one bragged about how generous they were... P.S. The fried dish wasn't exactly a huge dish either... Three stars for this mockery... and I was quite generous, too.
