20/09/2023: Traditional poor fish revisited with unusual and delicate recipes, such as spaghetti with sea urchins and the appetizer with bonito. The service and the internal garden are very welcoming, if you don't like eating on the street along the port.

14/09/2023: Good food, but too many "buts". I can't say I had a bad meal, but overall the dinner was very disappointing. Wines and dishes indicated on the menu, but missing because "you know, we are at the end of the season...". The indoor outdoor area infested with mosquitoes forced me to pay much more attention to trying not to get bitten than to enjoying the food. The wine by the glass arrived directly in the glasses without even seeing the bottles. We ordered the "pine cone squid", it was explained to us that it had this name because when cooked the particular incisions made it take on the appearance of a pine cone. Unfortunately we could only see it when they served it to another table, because the one served to us had obviously turned out badly and had the appearance of half an open squid which looked more like a rag than a pine cone. Partly because of the mosquitoes, but also because the neighbors at the table were allowed to smoke despite the small and closed space of the outdoor area, we gave up dessert. Despite this, the price was, in my opinion, rather expensive

25/09/2023: Well cooked dishes, Courteous and patient staff and owners, Excellent location at the foot of the village of Giglio Castello. We returned 4 times in 8 days, it's already a confirmation. We then tried the entire menu and were pleasantly surprised by some delicious dishes off the list. The pizzas are also good. Mario the owner is available for all your requests as well as being an excellent pizza chef and a good connoisseur of the island. Massimo in the room will be able to patiently suggest and advise you. Isma will win you over with her smiling kindness. The restaurant overlooks the square next to the main door of Giglio Castello. it has an external wooden veranda sheltered from the wind and an internal room whose bottom is dug into the rock.

25/09/2023: Piatti ben cucinati, Personale e proprietà cortesi e pazienti, Posizione ottima ai piedi del borgo di Giglio Castello. Siamo tornati 4 volte in 8 giorni, è già una conferma. abbiamo provato tutto il menù e siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi da buonissimi fuori lista. Anche le pizze sono buone. Mario il titolare è disponibile a ogni vostra richiesta oltre che ottimo pizzaiolo, e buon conoscitore dell'isola. Massimo in sala vi potrà suggerire e consigliare con pazienza. Isma vi conquisterà con la sua sorridente gentilezza.

05/04/2024: Terrible place, we arrived and I ordered spaghetti with clams. I received the wholemeal spaghetti with clams that tasted like cardboard. For the second course, sea bream with potatoes and courgettes, 400g, he cleaned it for me and brought me the 20g plate. Place to close as soon as possible. If I give you a star you're lucky. 02/10/2023: a cena in questa pizzeria, servizio cortese , forse all'inizio un pò lento ma poi si sono ripresi, pizza sottile e ben cotta buon sapore calamari alla gigliese strepitosi. Prezzo più che giusto. Tornerò con piacere.

18/09/2023: Sono stata recentemente al Ristorante Sopravvento e l'esperienza è stata eccezionale in ogni aspetto. La qualità del cibo è stata davvero sorprendente; ogni piatto era preparato con maestria e aveva un sapore delizioso. Inoltre, il giardino del ristorante è semplicemente incantevole. L'atmosfera tranquilla e serena, circondata dal verde lussureggiante, ha reso il pasto ancora più piacevole. È un luogo ideale per godersi una cena rilassante in un ambiente speciale. Infine, vorrei sottolineare la gentilezza e l'ospitalità della proprietaria, Ilona. La sua attenzione ai dettagli e la cura per i clienti hanno reso la visita davvero speciale. Il suo sorriso caloroso e la disponibilità nel rendere la nostra esperienza indimenticabile sono state molto apprezzate. In sintesi, il Ristorante Sopravvento è un luogo straordinario dove si può gustare cibo di alta qualità, immergersi in un bellissimo giardino e godere della gentilezza della signora Ilona. Non vedo l'ora di tornare prossimo anno e consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a tutti coloro che cercano un'esperienza culinaria eccezionale.

22/09/2023: Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante dalla terrazza con vista mozzafiato perché ci era stato consigliato un po’ da tutti, isolani compresi. In effetti mangiare qui è una garanzia: gli antipasti che abbiamo scelto erano buonissimi, i primi eccezionali (in particolare i ravioli di pesce), il dolce (una mousse di ricotta con salsa di fichi gigliesi) una esperienza unica! Il personale gentile e preparato e il costo assolutamente corretto.

22/10/2023: Spaghetti with spider crab: insipid tomato purée, excessive and with a preservative taste, spider crab absent, except for 3 pieces of overcooked and tasteless legs (Fuiuta?) sent back to the kitchen, tartare of red Mazara prawns, 1 small. Paid for everything handsomely, even what was not acceptable and rejected: open your eyes, get some experience around and come back, I doubt you will find it good or delicate. I have been speaking for 35 years of experiences of dinners among chefs or of research into haute cuisine.

MENU: [4/5] La carta non è eccessivamente ampia (adeguata quella dei vini). LOCATION: [4/5] Ambiente con bella vista suggestiva sul porto. SERVIZIO: [4/5] Personale gentile, ok! QUALITA'/PREZZO: [4/5] In linea con i prezzi degli altri ristoratori del luogo.

27/08/2023: Bar at the end of the port towards the Saraceno district. Cozy with a view of the port (which on this island is a beautiful view) and the red pier. Very pleasant to stay there and observe the sea and calmly sip a drink in the light moments of an island holiday. Friendly staff, precise and fast service.
