The restaurant is a great word, I recommend it 100x100.

During my last regular trip with my wife has booked a table at Il Silene. Was 25 min drive from our hotel in Montalcino but it was worth to visit. At the beginning my wife was scared about from the empty restaurant at the dinner time. The waiter was very kind and explained us the reson, day before was crowded place, in our day empty. The restaurant is located in silent village, in the hills of Tuscany. The right place of take a rest and enjoy Tuscany via stomach, in chilled atmosphere, only focus on food. To Everyone who reading this review i recommend to go there and enjoy. Unforgettable experince.

The quality of food and service is absolutely sublime. They did the catering at our wedding and the food (and yes the wedding cake) was made to perfection. Thank you Il Selene. 6/5 stars

Bellissimo ristorante ai piedi del Monte Amiata, arredato con cura e in modo elegante. Spettacolare l'orto adiacente dal quale provengono molti dei prodotti che ritroviamo sulla tavola. Bravissimi il maitre e la giovane somelier che ci ha ottimamente abbinato cinque calici di vino per ogni portata. Menù top, equilibrato con un'assoluta esaltazione dei sapori a cominciare dalle cose semplici come l'olio autoprodotto. Buonissimi la battuta di vitella e i ravioli ricotta e spinaci con tartufo estivo, ma la goduria vera è arrivata con i ravioli ripieni di piccione conditi con un sughetto ristretto sempre di piccione. Ottima la lonza cotta a bassa temperatura con la cipolla agrodolce e strepitoso il dessert, una crepes di panettone ripiena di gelato al fior di latte. Mi è dispiaciuto non conoscere lo chef per fargli i complimenti, ma sarà il pretesto per tornarci un'altra volta.
