We were passing through and stopped for lunch.
The sauce on the pici with white ragù and chestnuts tasted like nothing.
The bruschetta appetizer was 4 slices of toasted bread without garlic or salt. 2 with just oil (a lot) and 2 with tomato pieces drowned in oil but without salt and without being rubbed with garlic, which is the basis of bruschetta.
Unfortunately, the service wasn't precise: we ordered a glass of wine and they accepted it even though the menu didn't list the glasses or the price. They served us a glass of Brunello without telling us the price.
In the bill, we found a whopping €15 for the glass. We protested because, in addition to not being listed, they didn't tell us the price, and unfortunately, the owner was rude and arrogant. He wanted to give us €10 back of the €15, but obviously we didn't accept it. A truly terrible gesture towards a customer.
After a few minutes he called us to apologize but we will never go back there again
19/02/2026: Here's one of the reasons to talk about Italian excellence!!! We're in Seggiano for work on a Wednesday in February, and despite the few visitors (basically none), we stop for a quick bite.
Amazing food, with equally delicious olive oil and wine, and warm, freshly baked bread!! The handmade tortelli filled with ricotta and topped with olive oil and parmesan are a must-try.
What can I say? A must-see, nestled in the Tuscan countryside!

17/04/2025: Arrivati da poco in zona, di ritorno da Castiglione, ci ricordiamo di questo locale essendoci passati davanti, complice l'ora tarda, la comodità del parcheggio, la voglia di pizza e il fatto che da fuori sembrava un posto rustico ma accogliente decidiamo di fermarci.
Entriamo e chiediamo se per caso avevano posto, la signora, gentilissima ci indica il tavolo.
Aspettiamo un pò per le ordinazioni e poi anche per avere le birre ma capiamo la situazione perché la signora doveva fare mille cose, ordini, cassa, cameriera etc.
Arrivano poi le pizze, che dire? Senza particolare infamia ma anche senza lode. Buona la pasta, da rivedere a mio parere (e di tutto il tavolo) gli ingredienti. Prendiamo poi altre birre e i dolci.
Prezzi onesti ma birra alla spina (400cl) cara (6.50€).
Da segnalare che cmq a nessuno è venuta sete durante la notte, segnale cmq di una adeguata lievitazione.
Ci torneremmo? Credo di no.
16/03/2025: Di passaggio da Seggiano ci siamo fermati a pranzo nel piccolo paese famoso x l’olio ed il vino.
Ambiente accogliente,personale gentile anche nei confronti del nostro cane,cibo di qualità e cucina casalinga,prezzo ottimo,consigliato!

11/06/2025: Siamo stati a cena qui,perché alloggiamo nelle vicinanze. Uno dei ragazzi ci illustra in modo molto esaustivo i vini e scegliamo un prodotto locale. Iniziamo con una tartare di Chianina (mai mangiata così buona in vita mia). Proseguiamo con uno gnocco al tartufo (veramente degno di nota) e un altro con cinta senese e porcini (anche questo molto buono). Essendo ormai pieni,prendiamo solo un tiramisù,ma anche il resto dei dolci sembrava molto appetibile. Durante la cena c’è stato un piccolo contrattempo non imputabile alla cucina,ma al momento del conto ci è stato comunicato che l’importo di una pietanza era stato defalcato dal totale. Se potessi darei 6 stelle. Super consigliato
25/04/2025: Andato li x caso che ero di passaggio ma avevo già letto le buone recensioni, locale carino e in stile, personale attento e professionali abbiamo mangiato molto bene tutti i primi funghi porcini e sugo di chianina e il secondo di pollo alla brace molto buono. Nonostante ci fosse stato un “ imprevisto “ , il proprietario è stato molto professionale e gentile ad ammettere l’ inconveniente ed ha rimediato in maniera professionale e intelligente !

28/08/2024: La sagra del picio è ormai una tradizione per noi (4 adulti e 4 ragazzi) che facciamo doppia presenza in una stagione. I pici sono davvero molto buoni, preferiamo principalmente il condimento con l'aglione, ma riscuote successo anche il sugo di pancetta. Il sugo di aglione con pomodoro è buonissimo, sapido e dolce (la scarpetta finale è un must). La trippa ottima come quella della nonna, così come anche anche i fagioli all'uccelletto. Il gelato al castagnaccio è eccezionale!!
Il servizio super efficiente!!
