14/04/2026: If you’re anywhere near Osteria Maccalè — GO. Seriously. We had the most amazing experience here today. The sweetest Italian lady took care of us, and even though she didn’t speak any English, she made it work so effortlessly — honestly it made the whole experience even more special 🥹 The food? Unreal. One of those meals you keep thinking about hours later. I’m convinced you could point at anything on the menu and it would be incredible. Pro tip: bring a translator (Google Translate will be your best friend 😂), but don’t let the language barrier scare you — it’s 100% worth it. I would eat here every single day if I could

12/07/2026: A beautiful spot surrounded by greenery and olive trees, with a terrace where you can dine under a large oak tree, adored by fairy lights and the chirping of cicadas, making you feel like it's summer. Delicious dishes and home-grown vegetables. The pici are delicious, as are the pickled vegetables.

12/06/2026: If you want to escape the tourist crowds in Pitigliano and enjoy a meal in a natural setting with homemade food, this is the place for you! Good parking and the owners are attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

25/06/2026: We were just looking for something to satisfy our hunger. The pizzas we got were fantastic. Thin, crispy crust and great toppings. Highly recommended. And the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommended.

22/05/2026: I can only say good about this place. In the street of Sovano, you can sit inside our outside, family owned, the service was amazing, the waiter was very kind and attentive, the food was delicious. I am sad we can not return for a repeat anytime soon.

03/08/2026: We dined at Ottava Rima and were truly thrilled. The restaurant is located in the heart of the charming medieval village of Sorano, and even strolling through the narrow streets gives you a unique atmosphere. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes prepared with local ingredients and a lot of passion. We tried the pepato, a traditional local stew, truly flavorful and tender. The dolmades, revisited with a Maremma twist, were also excellent, an original dish that combines tradition and creativity. To finish, we chose some homemade desserts, all delicious and carefully prepared. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful, conveying all his love for his homeland and Maremma cuisine. An added bonus is the restaurant's charming ancient cellar, adorned with antique amphorae and period objects that recall the area's Etruscan history and make the atmosphere even more charming. The prices are more than fair considering the excellent quality of the ingredients, the sophistication of the dishes, and the overall experience. If you're passing through Sorano, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit: it's not just a place to eat well, but a place to savor true Maremma tradition in an atmosphere steeped in history. Kudos to the manager.

16/05/2026: The name speaks for itself! We were treated to a wide variety of local delicacies, from cheeses and cured meats to crostini and, most importantly, Chianina beef carpaccio! All washed down with excellent, well-priced local wines! The small but welcoming and friendly place makes you feel right at home. Hugs to the managers, Sandro and Cristina!

09/05/2026: We had an aperitivo with a tasting of three recommended white wines, all very good and plentiful. The only thing is, I wouldn't have served three glasses of white at once because they get warm, but rather one at a time. We recommend this place for a lovely outdoor aperitivo on a beautiful day like yesterday ☀️ (P.S. incredible value for money, two of us paid just €26 for six glasses and the large platter you see in the photo).
